Another device is using my blackberry id to connect to app world

When I connect to app world sometimes it tells me"you are entering with a new device, switch to .....?" Or something like that.I tried to change my password but it's doesn't work, after a period of time the situation repeats.how can I found aboout the other device.I also tried changing my bb id,but I think it updates himself on the othere device.

If they are sharing a router, then they are on the same network. Next time you see that error, write down the IP that's conflicted. Then check your computers' and router's IP addresses. If one device say, your router, has that IP address, and one notebook is trying to acquire the same IP, then you've pinpointed your conflict.

You need a different BlackBerryID and email address attached to each ID, for each BlackBerry phone.
You didn't say what her model BlackBerry is, but she can look at Options > BlackBerryID.
She or you will need to get a separate ID.

we have a router at home that is supposed to support 10 devices but when i try to connect my mac book pro it says another device is using my computer's ip address

Are the IP addresses statically assigned (wrong ), or does the router give them out using DHCP (right )?

  • When setting up my Time Capsule I get an error message that another device is using my computer's IP address.  What can I do about this?

When I am setting up my new Time Capsule I get a pop up window that says another device is using my IP address and I have to change it.  My time capsule will not work or connect to the Internet.  I assume that is why.  Everything is plugged in as should be.  I also have a wireless DVD player and my DISH network plugged in to the Ethernet of the Time Capsule.

You need to do the setup of the TC before you plug it into the network.. you obviously already have a router, so set the TC up as bridge device.. in airport utility/internet tab/connection sharing.. off bridge mode.. then you can plug it into the network and whatever is main router will do its job properly.
If this is not the case, then you have a static IP setup somewhere.. or another dhcp server.. track down and remove it.

  • Another device is using my IP address?

This morning I started my computer up and a notice popped up on my screen. It said another device was using my IP address and to try again later. I'm not sure what I was supposed to try again later and does this mean my computer has been hacked or is being remotely accessed somewhere? Thanks for any help.

  • Get the message - another device is using the same address

I keep getting the message that another device is using the same ip address. I have to turn off my MacBook Pro from wifi and then back on again. Sometimes the wifi doesn't come back on for my MacBook Pro.
Running Mountain Lion. Thought all this hassle would be solved.

To follow up on what Thomas has said.
You have a device on your network that is using a fixed IP address in the range of addresses that your router assigns addresses from. You'll need to figure out what device that is and change its settings so that it gets a dynamic IP address assigned by the wireless router.
Or your MBP has a Fixed IP.
Or if you need certain devices to have Fixed IPs, like a printers which should always be assigned a fixed IP, then you need to assign those IPs out side the DHCP Pool range the router uses to hand out Dynamic IP but yet still in the total range of the routers IP address.

  • "another device is using the same ip address.." - iOS devices won't connect to AEBS wifi.

I've got a Motorola modem/gateway - 3360 from WalMart.  I have the AEBS working in bridge mode connecting my iMac & Printer fine, but my iOS devices won't connect.
While troubleshooting & trying all types of settings, I was able to get EITHER the iMac or the iOS devices connected to internet, but not both at same time.
Then I noticed I am getting "another device is using the same ip address.." message.
I have changed the AEBS ip address & had been able to get either the iMac or iOS devices working depending on which ip address I use.
BUT now, all my iOS devices dont connect to the internet regardless of the ip address of the AEBS.
All my iOS devices see the network, and accept the network password, but they do not connect to internet, circle just keeps spinning...
    Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated.
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Dave

It looks like may have to go back to square one and delete my network & set it up from scratch if I don't figure it out.
If you do go this route, I would like to make a suggestion for your consideration, and that is to assign static IP addresses to devices that are "permanent" on your network or ones you want to make sure can be reachable at all times. These (again) would be servers, routers, wireless access points, network printers/scanners, NAS devices, etc.
I would recommend the following IP addressing scheme as a baseline and you are certainly free to deviate in any way you see fit to meet your networking requirements:
Reduce the number of IP handed out by DHCP. By default, most routers will provide 100-200 private IP addresses within their DHCP leasing scope. The AirPort, by default, assigns 10.0.1.2 thru 10.0.1.200 via DHCP. Your Motorola may assign 192.168.0.2 thru 192.168.0.150. Either way, I would reduce this to no more than fifty (50) total which should provide you with plenty of addresses even if you are hosting gaming convention at your home.
I use the following IP address scheme for the "permanent" network clients:
    Network Printers: 10.0.1.200 - 209
    NAS Devices: 10.0.1.210 - 219
Wireless Access Points or routers reconfigured as bridges: 10.0.1.220 - 229
    Servers: 10.0.1.230 - 239
With the "permanent" devices pre-assigned with static Private IP address that are outside of the DHCP range, you shouldn't ever get an IP address conflict again.

I just bought my MacPro laptop last night and when I started it up this morning it said another device was using my ip address?  I have an iphone is that what it meant

It probably means you've manually set an ip address of another device on your network to the ip address that your dhcp server wants to assign to your computer. Or, it means that a neighbor has connected to your network with a fixed ip address that your dhcp server wants to assign to your computer. Or, it means that you are really connecting to a neighbor's network and you've set your computer's ip address manually to an address your neighbor is already using for one of his devices.
Make sure that all your network devices are set to receive their ip Address automatically (dhcp). Restart your router and all connected devices to see if that clears up the problem.

  • Another device is using your ip

Another device is using your computers IP address error message when setting up airport express 2nd generation- using to replace a first generation

Sometimes this message means that you have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
Sometimes it happens because a device that gets its network address from the router wakes from sleep, and the address it was using before has been assigned to another device.
A third-party wireless router that has incompatible settings or firmware may be the cause. In that case, refer to the manufacturer or ISP for support. Restarting the router may help, temporarily.

  • Another device is using my IP address.  Should I be concerned?

I received a message on my computer.  Another device is using my IP address.  Should I be concerned?  What should I do to prevent this?

The error message reads:  "Another device on the network is using your computer's IP address.  Try connecting again later.  If you continue to have problems, change the IP address of this computer or the IP address of the other device.  Contact the network administrator if you need more information".
I do not have an iPad and my iPod is turned off.  I DO have an Apple TV device.  Could that be it?

  • HT4199 how do I fix it when "another device is using computer IP address" and I can't get wireless to work anymore? It used to work fine.

How do I fix it when "another device is using computer IP address"? Airport used to work fine. I've already tried turning everything on and off several times.

I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
    Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

I am getting two error messages as I attempt to login on my iMac.  One says I don't have an IP address and another says that another device is using my IP address and won't allow me to login.  Any advice?

Is your AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) the only router in your network configuration? That is, is it connected directly (by Ethernet) to an Internet Broadband modem OR to another router upstream of it? Regardless, what it the make & model of the device that it is connected to in order for it to gain Internet access?

  • New iPhone 5, getting the "Another device is using your IP address" message

just got the iPhone on Sunday and turned on the WiFi. Everything was ok until today. Now when I walk into the door and wake up my Mac Mini (OS10.7.5), I get: Another Device on the network is using your computers IP address.
I then have to reboot the AIrport and turn off WiFi on the iPhone. Things were better.
    According to this article:
    http://osxdaily.com/2010/09/19/another-device-on-the-network-is-using-your-compu ters-ip-address/
there's a chance my iPhone is commanding the space. I suspected as much because this has  happened before with other Apple products here. Any thoughts on this?

Reset your router. Two devices are attempting to use the same IP address.
