Another Error For iTunes 9

I have had a quick flick through a few of the topics on the forum and noticed lots of different issues regarding the new iTunes. I was going to wait a week and then update but, because I wanted to buy some stuff of iTunes, I had no choice but to upgrade!!
After some messing around, I eventually got iTunes to work after the upgrade (I had to install Quicktime separately). I now have a different problem, when ever I try to purchase something I get the following message *"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"*
I have also tried to update my iPhone to the new firmware 3.1 and I get the same response can someone please advise me. Are there anyone else having the same problem?

I have had the same problem and after a great deal of angst and screaming I went to the Quicktime Player and clicked on Run as Administrator. This has done the trick. Good luck!

How can one fix a "download error" for itunes on an iphone?

    Hi..
    First, try resetting your iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart the device.    Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears.  Slide to power off.  After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.

  • Launch error for iTunes on Windows 7

I recently installed the latest update for iTunes on my PC and when I attempted to launch I received an error stating that one of the .dlls "is either not designed to run on Wondows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." I tried downloading and reinstalling iTunes and also removing and then reinstalling but received the same error. I recently upgraded my PC from Vista to Windows 7 and wonder if it is related to the problem.

    Many thanks.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I cannot get the latest update to go for the subject reason.  Any clues on what I can do?  I really don't want to roll back 6 months.  Thanks

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Upload Error for iTunes

    Hey, my first time here.
So I'm uploading some songs, 275 to be exact, and after 25 or so it stops and says....
'Attempting to copy to the disk "NICK'S IPOD" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69).'
I tried to look that up and found nothing to help me on the right path. I just updated to the new iTunes too because I thought maybe that was it, I just changed my battery today too but it already uploaded 20 songs, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I have a 30GB and it's only 10.04 filled with music, still 17 GB's available.
    Any help? Thanks alot guys.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Do you loose your tunes if you use another computer for itunes?

I originally started with a windows pc and got a new iBook and would like to know if I can update my ipod on my new computer without loosing the songs already on my ipod from my windows computer?

Set your iPod to manual updating, that will allow you to connect to two computers. If you are currently set for auto update, then do this:
    Open iTunes.
Connect your iPod to the computer. iTunes presents a message that the iPod is linked to another music library.
Click the iPod button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.
Click the "Manually manage songs and playlists" button.
    Click OK.
For more on manual updating look at the tutorial here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/ipgettingstartedt3.html

  • Install error for Itunes 11.1.0

I am having a problem installing itunes 11.1.0 on windows 7. When I install through Apple Software update I am able to download and then get an error message saying "Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually." If I then try the suggested route of downloading the installer and running it manually I get a message saying "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324." Any solutions?

This is a Fix, it shouldnt be happeneing for every single Update, Apple has totally gone second rate with everything, and this problem has been happening for over a year.
If your Update Fails go to TOOLS in the update window, and pick manual download.
Then for everyone " People with failed updates and people with administrator problems "
    Go to
    C:\Users\"YOUR USER NAME"\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update
and right click all the .msi files one at a time, and pick install and if asked repair.

    SFC /SCANNOW
Please run CHKDSK on the problematic server.
Then please try running the System Update Readiness Tool

Server Manager is servicing operations similar to what Windows Updates is using so the System Update Readiness Tool can help with this error sometimes.
Please collect the following log files from the System Update Readiness Tool:
    %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
    %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
Please also collect a listing of the %windir%\Servicing\Packages by running the following command.
    Dir %windir%\Servicing\Packages > CBSlist.txt
Meanwhile, please collect all the above logs (CheckSUR.log, CheckSUR.persist.log and CBSlist.txt) and the CBS.log, and send to [email protected] for further research.
Please note: CBS.log is in the location of %systemroot%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

  • Update and Download Error for iTunes

iTunes had an automatic update today, and in the process, it reported some sort of error and said it couldn't complete the update. Tonight I tried to open iTunes, and it wouldn't open. It said that it was missing a file (unfortunately I didn't write down the name of the file it said was missing). I tried installing iTunes again, but it reached an error in the installation process when it was "Starting Services". The error said, "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services." My choices are to Abort, Retry, or Ignore. I aborted and unistalled iTunes entirely from my computer. When I tried to install again, the same error came up. Ignoring the error leads to no change, and retrying brings the same error again.
What can I do to get my iTunes back?? Thanks!

Great suggestion! I tried this out, but unfortunately, I just not a new error. Now it says, "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 126)". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I got the same thing...

  • Using another computer for itunes

I am currently staying at my parents whilst my husband is overseas. I want to use my iPod on my Mother's computer but I'm unable to get the music to play. When I plug my iPod in I can see my music but it's not highlighted. Am I able to play on iPod on someone else's computer???
I look forward to your rely.
    Many thanks
    Donna

If you switch the iPod from one of the auto sync modes to Manually Manage (a check box on the main summary page for the iPod when plugged into iTunes) you can now play tunes directly out of the iPod via the iTunes interface.
    Cheers,
    Patrick
