Another Gallery problem 6681 :(

HI,
This is one of the many problems that i have with my gallery.When i'm viewing pictures (Gallery>Images>Picture/image) one of three pictures goes blank.Just like that without any reason.and then i should go back to images root folder and then to open the same picture again.I hate this because if i press back i have to wait about 10 seconds.

The images or their size will not be causing the issue. The gallery display is database-based, the database is used to store details of everyimage stored on the phone (irrespective of whether in phone memory or memory card, and irrespective of which folder they are stored in), and each time the gallery is opened the gallery is updated to check for images added to the phone since the last time.
I would suspect that you have nothing wrong with either phone or memory card, but simply that the sheer volume of extra data means that the processing of the database update is so huge that the phone is getting stuck - you appear to be asking it to update info on 1Gb of data all at once. It may not even be crashing, if you allow it to stand a longer time it would probably appear eventually correct - I have the same slow first opening of the gallery everytime I reformat my N96 and then restore the mass memory content back to the phone.
Try introducing the images to the phone in several groups of lower numbers of files to see if that makes any difference.

N96 photo gallery problem

This week I upgraded my N96 to the latest firmware (20.050). After the install I had a problem viewing any of my photos and even the Photo menu was empty. So I backed up my mass memory and formatted it. After I restored the backup, my photos and videos appeared twice in the photo gallery. Can someone help me to solve this?

I got a simmilar problem after v30.033.281.4 update, i hope you can help me solve another gallery issue. I cannot acces my photos from gallery although all other items (like videos, music tracks, etc) seem working fine. It all started happening after i upgraded fw of my N96 to 30.033 yesterday. I already tried soft and hard reset as well as formatting mass memory and 3-finger re-boot. Ever re-installing fw did not help. I'm running out of ideas. Any clues?

YAPP (Yet Another Printing Problem)

I've found another printing problem - this time with colour printing.
To my
surprise, Forte (3.0.E.0) can print in colour (at least on a HP 690C,
using
NT drivers for the 660C, the printer being connected to a Win95
machine).
I can print OK with from my NT develpoment machine in colour, but when
running
the same app from the Win95 client with the printer attached locally the
coloured text disappears. Has anyone else come across this problem?
Is this another of the 'Printing works fine as long as it happens
non-locally?'

I wonder if this is related to the printing feature I discovered
where things I print from Forte have a strong tendency to come out in
the same colours as my windows desktop, which is
typically yellow-on-black.

Nokia 6681 Gallery Problem!

I have bought the nokia 6681 15 days ago! But i have a very serious problem! My Gallery open fast but then if i try to open the images or videos I must wait 15 seconds! I have only 60 photos and 50 videos! If i insert all my documents i must wait 70+ seconds! Why??
I have already go to Nokia Support and Service in Greece, and the nokia team sais me that i must do software update! Before the update I had the version ( 4.00.09 ) and after the upadate ( 12 days after ) team install me the version 5.37.01 but I know that there is and the version 6.09.00 who nokia did't insert it to me because sais me that the phone have a problem!
I installed and and other files browser application suck as eFileManager and more, and all files open in 1 second(very fast)
I have a mmc card with 512 mb! and is fully compatibly with my phone!

I have similar problem.I've just posted another post about this problem.I have 200 images and it takes 25-28 seconds to open Images.I've even formatted the phone memory but there is no change.i've deleted most of the data but the problem stays.I think the problem is in the memory card.Is it too slow??? Gallery problem with 5230 on my 4th phone

Still have a problem with viewing my photos once I put a couple hundred in my phone under mass storage. Have over 3 gigs available on a 4 gig card and all my photos are under 200kb which are smaller than the ones my phone actually takes. As soon as I pass an unspecified amount of pics and files the gallery refuses to open up my image folder, says opening and that's it. The only way I can get in is if I'm lucky shut off phone and restart, try and get in before gallery sets up, problem is once I leave can't get back in. Another way is press off button scroll to remove memory card remove and then restart phone go to gallery push in card and see files but once again once you leave that's it do not use internet, have tried 3 different memory card and 4 new phones all with same problem does anybody know what the problem is, my guess is a software problem that nokia is not admitting to, supposedly this phone should handle up to 16 gig of mem but it seems to be having trouble with more than 2,

Lenovo s860 1Gb RAM not recognized by the computer,camera and gallery problem

Hi,yesterday i received a shipment of 2 phones s860. Both are installed VibeUi .20 same version. No problems with 1 of them, but other... 1.Camera can't save image.When thry to get picture,camera app close, same problem with another camera app. and after clear cashe and data on lenovo camera and gallery app, and after full wipe and full clear data with lenowo recovery menu2.tried to send video to reproduce because of the factory clip gives an error - damaged file. The received file can also not be reproduced, damaged file. When try to play with another player(km,mx) no problem,when send picture to phone with shareit - no problem3. when i turn the phone to a computer, he did not recognize, did not indicate the inclusion of a device (tried 3 different computers-no sound on computer,no device manager device-nothing) But the phone is charging, do not ask me what kind of connection I want (only charging or transfer MTP ...nothing) The animations are quite delayed .When entering in recovery menu screen is displayed bands as a problem at the video chip(It may be normal traits do not appear in other use)I have not yet tried 3G/2G slotsperhaps the software is installed by mistake and nobody has tested before sending phone to me. The problem is that I can not connect to the computer to try to reinstall again, not only reset

Its upgradable so that if you choose the 64 bit version of Windows you can do so
and take full advantage of the 4 GB. If your notebook had come pre-installed with
64 bit OS then it would have likely came with the 4 GB already and cost a bit more.
The manufacturers should be a little more clear to people who dont understand
the differences. Your machiine came with 3 GB because they, HP, knew that the 32
bit version of Windows installed would only use and see that amount.
You can leave the 4 GB in. It wont hurt a thing. If you decide to switch to the 64
bit version you will have to start from scratch on the installation. Not recommended
if your not familiar with the process.

N96 Photo Gallery Problems @ V20 Firmware Update

After updating my 96 to v20 i'm found broken icons/thumbnails in my gallery rather than the original pictures that we're there before the update. When i tried to delete i got an error message, the files didnt delete and remained on the phone so i was left with a gallery fully of nothing but broken icons/thumbnails. I tried back up restore from the back up file created on the sd card rom file manager but to no avail the problem remained the same.
Some thoughts we're juggling and i decided to do the thre finger reset which took the phone completely back to as it was out've the box and start from scratch restablishing the phone. After all all my main stuff, my music, was on the sd card so removed the card and done the 3 finger reset.
The phone was restablished, running fine etc sd card inserted and off i went with a totally clean, error free phone...oh and immediately done a file manager back up to over write the old one. Yes i'd lost some pictures but hey the fleets of useless unmanagable borken icons had gone so felt i'd removed the corruption/erros off the phone.
Sadly not. Now when i then took pictures all is ok on taking the piccy and viewing immediately but when i returned to the gallery 5 mins later i found all the newly taken pics are also broken icons/thumbnails. File manager back up restore was carried out and the broken icons etc vanished but after that when i took pictures they quickly turned into broken icons in the gallery area. Once again sd card was removed and 3 finger reset done.
Now when i take pictures they are not even showing as captured in the gallery however are showing in the file manager.
Anyone else having such problems since V20 update ?? Anyone have any suggestions or managed to resolve this one ??
In addition to this i've noticed that some of my podcasts cannot no longer seen by music player however can be seen through file manager. I'll explain the podcast problem in another posting when i get chance.

I've got a similar problem.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "broken links", but since installing the v20 firmware, i have frozen or blank entries in some parts of my multimedia menu.
The 'last captured' entry in the 'photos' tab says "no images or video" and displays no image. This does not change when I take photos. The 'captured' entry also displays no image but accurately states and updates the number of photos in the gallery.
In a stranger twist, the 'now playing' entry in the 'music' tab now permanently displays the name and image of the last song I was playing before the firmware upgrade.
Contrary to these problems, the 'last viewed' entry in the 'video' tab accurately updates itself when I watch videos.
This is the first instance i've discovered of someone with a similar problem and so far no solution. I'm sure we're not alone. I imagine it's just some little fault in the firmware (God knows it wouldn't be the first in the N96's history) but what are the odds of Nokia distributing a fix?
Come on Nokia? How 'bout it? Anyone else got the same problem or even a fix?

Web gallery problems in flash catalyst. Please help me!

I've made a web gallery in adobe bridge cs5 that I saved to my harddrive as a swf-file. But when I make a blank page in Flash Catalyst and insert that swf-file nothing happens when I try to view it in "run project". What have I missed. It feels like some file is missing or something. I've tried to import the swf-file in a html document in dreamweaver but it is the same problem there. Can someone help me please?

Does it mean bookDB created here is the same object created in servlet context, that is, they use the same block of memory?

Gallery problem with next/prev buttons

Hi,
I'm working on a photo gallery and I have some weird things
happening, hence the request for help!
When the gallery opens, you can click on any picture, the
main one then appears with various buttons:
1. Click on the image and you go back to the thumbnails -
fine
2. Click on the cross button and it's the same - fine
3. Don't click on the automatic gallery, it's no on yet! :)
4. Click on previous and the previous image appears - fine
5. Click on next and the next image appears - nope, that's
where the problem is!
For the previous button, I use this code:

image is loaded, you click next. The next image (which is then the
1st) is loaded and it works fine.
3. On the thumbnails, you click any image. When the main
image is loaded, you click next.
Here is the problem: the next image is not loaded!

N78 photo gallery problem (media bottun)

Hi!
I have problem with photos in media gallery.
Once i removed memory card ( phone was off ), once i place it back, turned on device, all pictures i have previously taken disappeared from gallery. They are still on card, because i can see them with file browser, but i cant browse them in photo gallery.
Is there way to refresh/import/whatever pics back?
New pictures are normally shown in gallery and i didn't remove memory card since.
All other programs installed on memory card work normally.

I have a similar problem to this.
I regularly upload my photos from my phone to my PC and remove them from the phone.
I won't go into the problems I've had with Nokia photos...
When I take new photos they regularly show in the photo gallery app as pictures that have previously been removed from the phone.
The actually images show if you zoom in on an incorrect thumbnail.
I think I may have found a solution:
change camera-settings-default image name-text to something other than what it currently is. i.e change from "Image" to "img" or something.
Anyone know where the thumbnails are cached so I can try to clear them down?
Yet another bug in this firmware. Did Nokia do any QA testing?

3220 Gallery problems

Hi,I bought my daughter this phone 3 months ago.She has taken several photos and videos many of which have suddenly disappeared from the gallery leaving a small folder with a question mark in it. A file size is still displayed but when you try and open the file the screen message "file format not supported" is displayed. Some images are still OK.This is about the third time this has happened suddenly and for no apparent reson.Does anyone know if this is down to user error or a fault that needs fixing?

Do you have a cable to download the images to a PC? If so, what happens? Same problem pr can you access the images. Sounds like she is "overloading" the memory - trying to take another picture or make a recording when the memory is full, and it is corrupting the existing stored images. Do you have a Nokia service centre nearby who could investigate (is the phone still under warranty - sounds like it should be)

Really anooying memory card/gallery problem nokia ...

this is the 3rd time this has happened since i got my new nokia n73
i read some reviews about the nokia n73 and the cons are that its sometimes slow and lags.
Well after i take a video or photo and i hit the red end call button ( it works just when i cancel out not just on that button )
And then go into gallery to see the image/video i took there is nothing on my memory card. its like it format itself. Theres no images/videos/songs. All gone.
The phone is picking up the memory card but not whats on it
I got a 1gb mini sd why does it do this? i try turning off phone and taking out card but i dont see whats wrong
Im about to connect phone to pc to see if pc picks up stuff on card but it looks like it formatt it self.

PS another problem, when i turn phone off it doesnt completely turn off, the screensaver of the time and date comes on with a white backround and wont turn off and on it seems frozen.

That is because of gallery database error.
Try this trick: /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=54784&page=1
If it fails, then a hard reset is the next solution probably. Get the backup of phone memory through PC Suit to your PC as the hard reset will clean the phone memory data like contacts, messages etc.
Check if your phone's SW is lates or not:*#0000#.

ICS gallery problem

I updated my LWW on ICS about 2 weeks ago. But after updating the phone the media tranfered to the phone through PC doesnt appear anywhere in the gallery.But the media loads when transfered through bluetooth from another phone.Also the thumbnails of photos are diffrent & original photo is diffrent. Please sombody help me. This is very annoying as i have to use external third party file manager File explorer application to view new data. Same problem is happenig with Walkman Player too.

I would advise backing up the data to a PC then formatting the memory card.
What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

CS3 gallery problem with Vista

When I use one of the automatic gallery creators (a modified white on black - see:

from Bridge, everything goes as before, when I was using XP. But only after finishing and uploading dozens of new galleries with hundreds of images, did I notice that when a thumbnail is clicked and the image comes up, the box below, which is supposed to have the file name was blank.
When making more galleries, I later discovered that I had to click on a box above the image warning about Active X or scripts and then choose to unblock it. I thought this solved the problem as the names of all appeared. Then when I just finished another huge batch of galleries and images, did I notice that next time I opened such images, the names were gone, and I had to choose to unblock content every time I opened a gallery again.
I talked with Microsoft for about 2 hours regarding this and in the end they said there was no solution as it is inherent in Internet Explorer with Vista.
I just couldn't believe it. I had a Vista 64 machine built specifically to work on my photos as the XP machine had been so unbearably slow with Bridge and other things. Now I have high speed but can't upload the galleries as before.
does anyone else have such a problem?

Well, you can manually override security zone settings with your group policy editor in Vista, but it would be ill-advised due to causing a security hole. You may also selectively add your image site to your "trusted sites" in the Internet settings, which would be a better way. For more refined control, consider installing Internet Explorer 8, which takes this even further. Short of that, simply use a different template or adjust the code. It isn't done correctly and doesn't work in other browsers, either.

Nokia 500 Gallery problem.

hi. On my NOKIA 500 whn i go 2 files every sub file is not shown bt memory shows tht there is smethng in my memories. If i open files using adobe i can access everythng in my memories. Wht may be th problem. Also my captured pics only appear in gallery for jst a few hours then dissapear 4rm gallery at ar still in 4ne. ???????? Pliz help help help

Are you using any task killing Applications? Or you updated ur Software with recent updates?if you are updated with recent Software and closes the processes that are running behind then the gallery wont visible and the Pictures wont be shown When clicked.just off and on ur mobile dont Kill any processes.
