Another instance of Contribute is doing a workflow operation
Sorry... this is a client using an upgrade he got for CS4 (from CS3). He's getting very frustrated and may be reinstalling CS3 even as we speak. He's already put in too many of his own hours trying to get the program to publish and he's 'done with it' now. Asking him to reproduce, play with other options, and so on is out of the question. His patience has run dry.

    Hi Experts ,
Thanks For all your valuable information I amTrying Of DB Link i think so
As per My understanding If wrong anywhere please advice me
Here Instance is Like : One DB 10g divided into several Instance like (test , devlopement , production Instance)
Now hope i ll make my req clear .
    Coming to my reqirement
the actual table EMP is in xxi.TEST (Here xxi => Schema and test is an Instance )
I want to create the view which is based on by table EMP which in my test instance to devoplment instance
For example xxo.development (here xxo => Schema and development is an Instance )
Need to access the xxi schema in Test Instance How can I create a DB Link please share your ideas and advice me
    Advance Thanks
ATIt's still not at all clear, but let me outline what I think you are after
    Given a database, ORCL_A
In database ORCL_A we have a schema, HALFTRACK
User HALFTRACK has a table, MYSTUFF
    Given a database, ORCL_B
In database ORCL_B we have a user GREENBRASS
User GREENBRASS needs to be able to query the table HALFTRACK.MYSTUFF.
In database ORCL_B, as user GREENBRASS
    create database link mylink
connect to halftrack identified by halftracks_pswd
    using ORCL_A;
select * from mytable@mylink;The db link defines a connection specification to ORCL_A, using the credentials of a user on ORCL_A. The target of the USING clause in the link definition must be an entry in the tnsames.ora file on the server hosting database ORCL_B.
When querying through the link, database ORCL_B is simply acting as a client to ORCL_A, no different that a sqlplus session on ORACL_B's server. As far as ORCL_A is concerned, ORCL_B is just another client requesting a connection, connecting with the credentials defined in the link definition.

  • Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is

Out of the blue a small number of my Windows XP PCs get the following error
when logging in. Usually appears while login script page is on screen:-
Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is
    running. Contact the system administrator
Once XP has loaded ok I can manually start the Remote Management service.
Some PCs are intermittent and don't seem to get it again but a couple get it
every login. I removed the client and reinstalled. I removed the Remote
Management service and re-installed. Re-registered the PC Workstation but no
change for those who get it every day.
    I did find this:-
Failed to initialize the network. Check if another instance of agent is
    running. Contact the system administrator
    Source: Remote Management Agent
    Severity: Critical
Possible Cause: The Remote Management Agent is unable to bind to the IPX or
IP port that is being used for Remote Management service, or the ports are
being used by some other application running on the managed workstation.
Action: Uninstall any third-party remote control agent or remote control
application using these ports from the managed workstation.
Possible Cause: The protocol stack is corrupted.
    Action: Reinstall the protocol stack.
Possible Cause: The managed workstation is not connected to the network, or
    the network is down.
Action: Connect the managed workstation to the network.
I don't have any third party remote control agent installed and I've tried
the refresh of the IP protocol stack. Surprised this has started as we have
not made any changes to the network or software. We run NW Client 4.83sp1
    and NW5.1 sp5.
Anybody else had this and cleared it completely?

    Further developments:
It looks like it's a fault in the nic. it's a Compaq NC3120 Fast Ethernet
card. It used to work, but since I've wiped out the card drivers that were
in use, I'm at HP's mercy. They are telling me that the card is no longer
under warranty and won't even tell me what driver to look for. Anything I've
managed to find has the exact same symptoms:
Client works, ping to IP addresses work, ping to www.yahoo.com (etc) doesn't
work, although winipcfg shows a DNS server the same as every other machine I
    have.
Internet explorer doesn't work, even with IP addresses to local servers.
    And of course, zenrc32 doesn't work, wsreg32 doesn't work.
Does anyone know of a way of making the NC3120 work on a win98 machine?
Shall I just go buy a couple dozen netcards from a more reputable company
    than compaq?

Process instance with key '0' does not exist
Such issue typically appears when the Provisioning is initiated without "Auto Save" i.e. before ORC_KEY entry goes in the OIU table...
Second possibility can be that the mandatory attributes in the process form are not populated..
Third possibility can be that the Status is Waiting... And Resource is dependent on another Resource...
Are you able to Direct Provision the account? I mean without raising Request Based provisioning?
    Please give us following details:
    (1) Resource Profile:-status of Auto Save
    (2) Approval Process:- status of Auto Save and Auto Pre-Pop
    (3) Prov Process:-status of Auto Save and Auto Pre-Pop.
    (4) Is the object form properly populated?
    (5) Is the Process form properly populated?
    (6) Any Exception occurred during Approval process?
    (6) In the OIM Database, fire the following query:-
    SELECT OIU.ORC_KEY
    FROM OIU, USR, OBI
    WHERE OIU.USR_KEY=USR.USR_KEY
    AND UPPER(USR.USR_LOGIN)=UPPER('ABCDEFGH_USER')
    AND OBI.OBI_KEY=OIU.OBI_KEY
AND OBI.OBI_KEY IN (SELECT OBI.OBI_KEY FROM OBI,OBJ WHERE OBI.OBJ_KEY=OBJ.OBJ_KEY AND
    UPPER(OBJ.OBJ_NAME)=UPPER('AD USER'))
This will show whether any proper ORC_KEY was generated for this resource instance..

  • When I close Firefox and open another instance of it to look at a new site I get a pop up window telling me Firefox hasn't shutdown yet.

When I close Firefox and open another instance of it to look at a new site I get a pop up window telling me Firefox hasn't shutdown yet. I am aware of tabs, but I prefer to just open new windows.
Do I really need a pop up window telling me that I just closed Firefox? Is there a way to disable it in options? I can't even use Buzof program to auto click for me. I've never had this issue with any other browser and I find it incredibly annoying.

I am not clear what you mean by:
''the program will only alow 1 website for each time I boot my machine,''
Are you talking about Firefox or something else in the above statement. Firefox will, or should allow you to open quite a few tabs at startup if you wish, although it will be faster the fewer that you do open.
    When you say
''I close it the program does not completely close ''
Again what is happening, what error messages if any do you see, and what exactly makes you think Firefox is not closing properly.
Presumably you have already clicked on the blue links in my first post and read those articles.

  • How to set another instance of same live app as test app sharepoint 2013 provider hosted

    Hi
I have SharePoint 2013 provider hosted app published in azure now i need to deploy another instance on same app as separate app for testing purposes, i have created another site in azure and done all profile adding packaging the app with visual studio to
deploy .App file to SharePoint catalog.  problem is that .app file is same name and when i going to add,  it replace with same version witch deploy as live instance.
Any one can give solution how to handle this greatly appreciated ...
    Kind Regards
    Radika

    Hi Radika,
According to your description, there is already an app deployed in your site, you want to deploy another instance of it to the same site for testing purpose.
As a common practice, when developing an app, for not overriding the previous version, it is recommended to create another project for testing used only with another
    name.
By doing this, we can keep the development in the testing project, when it is done, migrate the newly customization to the original project and deploy it with a new
    version number.
    Thanks

  • Load rman backup on another instance

    Hi All,
I am relatively new to Oracle and now I have to devise a strategy for backups and recovery. My objective is to backup the production database regularly in such a way that one month down the line I am able to load it on another instance. I have been trying to read up on the subject, but looks like it can be loaded only on the same instance.
Any thoughts how can this be achieved.
    Thanks
    Sanjay

    Hi Pierre,
Looks like rman duplicate database command only supports creation of duplicate database on a instance that exists at the time. I am looking for something that can be archived on to disk/tape and when required restored on a database instance. I come from Sybase background, where we just dump (or backup) a database copy and restore it on to another server and database. I have tried dumping schema using both datapump and exp, but both have problems while restoring on another server. Datapump does not support XMLtype data and imp has problem restoring some views.

  • CodeCoach bug - loads another instance of JDeveloper9i

    Hi,
I'm getting some strange behaviour when using code coach. Basically, it's starting another instance of JDeveloper9i (so that I have 2 running concurrently) while it's "waiting for results".
    I'm running on NT4, with JDev9i 9.0.2.8.2
I have an addin project (ProjectSettings.jpr) and have run code coach against the file ConfigProjectSettings.java. This leads to the output (see below) in the log window.
Simultaneously another JDeveloper9i starts up and appears to stop code coach in its tracks - the msg "waiting for results" is displayed and the JDev just sits there.
I kill the interloper JDeveloper and code coach immediately returns with its results. It even reports on errors in files that it reports don't exist (pretty neat feature!).
Any ideas what's going on here?

    Liz,
    Thanks for your quick response.
Re: 'interloper' JDeveloper - I really should RTFM more often. Apologies.
Re: ClassNotFoundException (borland.jbuilder.addin.VersionedAddin) - I'm actually running one of the Extension Exchange samples, so it would appear the dependency is either within that code (I've had quick look at the inports/extends but can see nothing Borland) or within the IDE itself.
    Cheers,
    Eddie.
Ps - is there a way to print out the code coach diagnostics? In TogetherSoft they can be saved as text/html, etc, which is pretty useful.
    Eddie,
Target ConfigProjectSettings.java is not runnable, using default target ProjectSettingsAddin.java.Your file ConfigProjectSettings.java is not runnable. This means that JDeveloper does not know how to run it because it is not an application (an application has a main method), it is not a servlet, it is not a JSP, it is not an Addin, etc.
Because ConfigProjectSettings.java is not runnable, JDeveloper will use the target ProjectSettingsAddin.java because this has been set as the Default Run Target in your project. To change this, go to Project Settings dialog, on the Runner panel.
When you run/debug/profile/codecoach a project where the target of the project is an Addin, JDeveloper automatically starts up another instance of JDeveloper so you can run/debug/profile/codecoach your addin.
This is similar to how JDeveloper automatically starts OC4J when you run/debug/profile/codecoach a project where the target of the project is a JSP, servlet, or EJB.
So, the "interloper" JDeveloper is not an interloper really, it is supposed to be there.
One thing to be aware of... When JDeveloper starts up the second instance of JDeveloper it uses the Project's Run Directory (specified in Project Settings dialog, on the Runner Panel) as the user home directory for second instance of JDeveloper.
As when you are codecoaching any project, codecoach reports the results when the program being codecoached exits. So, when you close the "interloper" JDeveloper, codecoach reports the results.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: borland/jbuilder/addin/VersionedAddin Some addin (possibly the addin that you are writing) is using (or extending or implementing) borland.jbuilder.addin.VersionedAddin. I think that was the Addin interface for JDev 3.2. The Addin interface for Oracle9i JDeveloper is oracle.ide.addin.Addin. If you debug instead of codecoach, the debugger will stop at the uncaught exception and you can look in the stack window and try to figure out which addin is causing the exception.

    Greetings,
J2EE server Listen Port: = 1049So far so good... the server does not report module/port functioning until after they've been successfully started. IOW: the server listener is now - er, "listening" ':) - nothing on your system is conflicting with port 1049..

    com.sun.enterprise.iiop.POAProtocolMgr.initializeNaming
POAProtocolMgr.java:118)You've encountered a not-so-uncommon problem... 'POA' is an acronym for 'Portable Object Adapter' and is a part of CORBA. More specifically, POA is used to provide a namespace to objects managed by an ORB which, as it turns out ;), is the next thing the RI tries to initialize: COS (Common Object Service) Naming Service (also called a 'CMA'; CORBA Management Agent). By default, the COS (CMA) runs on port 1050. In any case, it would seem your system already has an ORB running (e.g. VisiBroker) - or, perhaps, RMI-IIOP has been installed separately and this is conflicting with the instance included in the J2EE SDK...
several times I have shut down my system, uninstalled

running the server the same exception is coming.
Can any body give some idea how to solve the
problem??"Why, 'sortanly!" The quickest way to solve the problem is to change the port number the RI's ORB is running on: cd to %J2EE_HOME%\config and edit the file orb.properties. Change the port number ("port=1050") to something non-conflicting - '1052' is usually a good try. Remember the final port number; Your client apps (including those in distinct Servlet containers), will now have to access your beans using this port.
    thanks in advance.Regards,

  • Re-start message on another instance

    Hi.
Our PI system has two instances, central instance and dialog instance.
If the instance shuhtdown occured caused by any hardware trouble, during processing message on central instance,
can I re-start the message processing on another instance(i mean dialog instance)?
In this case, database running well.
    the question is
processing on sender adapter(JAVA) on central instance
    u2192can i re-start from dialog instance?
processing on integratio engine(ABAP) on central instance
    u2192can i re-start from dialog instance?
    regards,

    Thank you or your replying.
    How about "lock" ?
Should I install Enqueue Replication Server(ESR) for PI?
During the processing the message, message and related table should be locked.
If the lock information were lost on original host(trouble is occurred), does the inconsistent occurred cause by re-start message on another host ?regards

  • Button makes subform visible, then adds another instance

    Hello,
I have a button which makes a subform visible. That is working fine.
I'd like the button when clicked a second time to add another instance of the same subform. Is this possible? I have no idea how to begin with the JavaScript for this and would appreciate help.
    Thanks in advance,
    MDawn

Instead of making the subform visible and then adding instances you can do it just using instances then the button is doing the same thing.
To "hide" the subform using instances, make sure under Binding that the Min Count is clicked off and the Inititial Count is set to 0 (zero) - your subform will now be hidden by default.
Change the code you have showing the subform to use addInstance() instead of presence, using the underscore shortcut for the Instance Manager (you have to use the underscore method because the instance doesn't exist yet):
    _hiddenSubform.addInstance(true);
If you remove instances back to zero then the subform will go away again. Doing it this way also has the advantage of resetting all the data in the subform.

  • Downgraded, created another instance, now two rogue windows open automatically in the new instance!!

So I need to open another instance of Firefox so I can log onto other email accounts simultaneously with the first browser instance. I followed the directions and using profile creator, made another profile, and the sync worked (mostly).
However, no matter what option I choose under:
    Options -> General -> Startup
    I get two ADDITIONAL tabs!!
    First one says
"Download Firefox - Free Web Browser
    Second one says
    "PROFILE.COM"
    What gives???

If you downgraded Firefox you are now on an unsupported version so please upgrade again and then we can try to help you.
Ther are other alternative methods but the easiest method of logging in to more than one email acount is to open additional windows for the other accounts as ''Private Browsing'' windows e.g. use keyboard shortcut Sift+Ctrl+P
    * See [[Private Browsing - Browse the web without saving information about the sites you visit]]
    Does that suggestion help ?
Please post back to say how you get on.
'''Not updating Firefox is usually considered bad practice.'''
    * Please see the article [[Install an older version of Firefox]] <br /> That includes the links you need for old versions.
    * And glance at https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
Once a new Released out and security fixes are made and publicised bad guys take advantage of the exploits and that puts your '''System and Personal Data at an increased risk. ''' <br />Those with strong reasons for using an insecure version and understanding the risks may take appropriate steps to mitigate the risk. Possibly using a Virtual Machine, maybe having a well rehearsed bare metal restore procedure.
Perhaps if you say why you do not wish to upgrade we may be able to suggest a suitable way forward with an upgrade and some sort of workaround.
Or are you talking as an administrator of a network of Computers, in which case a special Release of Firefox may be more appropriate.
If the problem relates to Firefox 29 these articles may help
    * [[Learn more about the design of the new Firefox]]
    * [[What happened to the Add-on Bar?]]
    * [[How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox]]
It may also be worth noting that Fx29 now respects the setting to not upgrade until you agree. Firefox 28 upgraded regardless of the setting if you used the ''about'' dialogue to check the version.

  • Trouble installing another instance; working through 70-463 Training Kit

I downloaded an evaluation copy of SQL Server 2012 from Microsoft and have been working through 70-463 training kit.  Everything has been going well, I am now on Chapter 11.
The practice in Chapter 11 ask me to install another instance of SSIS that will be my SSIS Server.
I open the SQQL Serer Installation Center, click on "New SQL Server stand-alone installation..."  A dialog box opens asking me to browse to Installation media on my file system.
I have no idea where the installation media would be, I thought it was on the Microsoft site???  But I can't browse to an internet site from this dialog.
Was the media downloaded somewhere on my PC?  I looked in my downloads folder but saw nothing...  except my copies of adventure works data files.
Need to deploy to this new instance in the next practice too..
If anyone could help me solve this problem, it would be much appreciated..
I would think it is possible or I am doing something wrong, otherwise they would not have added ths practice to the book.
    Thanks very much,
    Mike

Mike: I guess you opted to open it versa saving it 1st, well download it again. It must has been placed into the temp directory %temp% (type in DOS window) and sort by date. But it might be gone by now as well.

  • Import of Apex Application to another instance takes a long time

    Hi,
I have developed an apex application which is of size -24 MB .While importing the appl to another instance it takes a long time (few hours). The imported appl is working fine so far.
What should be the ideal time for the import of this size appl ?
Is it the usual due to the size of the app or some thing is wrong with the app ?
Any one can please throw some light on this, as I am unable to figure out if it the appl issue or the DB issue.
    Thanks in advance!

The application is getting imported and running, so you do not really have a problem in hand.
24M is big, but not all that big to run for hours.
The time taken depends on the resources available on the server where you are trying to import. If the load on that server is high then the resources will be shared between all the processes run on it, and the import process will run longer.
Monitor disk and CPU usage, it will provide you some clues. Try importing at offpeak time and it should run faster if there is a server resource issue.
