Another itunes:image thread

I'm having problems getting my images to show up in the iTunes client..
It shows up here in the iTunes site:

The image is a 300x300 JPG.
They do not show up in the client on my computer, particularly in the "Album Art Browser" thing.
So two things. What am I doing wrong? Would bigger graphics "work" (bigger than 300x300)?

To get images to show when you subscribe in iTunes as opposed to in the Store page you have to actually embed them in the media files, not reference them in the feed. Please see this page:

I recently just had to re-install snow leopard on my imac. Thankfully I backed up all my music and re-imported everything from my old install to this one. However, when I go to sync my iPhone 4 I get the message that reads:

It warns that doing so will erase my current iphone and replace the contents of it with the contents in my new iTunes library.
I manage to back up photo in iPhoto, using iTune I Back up using control click mouse and get the back up button, but when I search my computer for the backup it cannot find it anywhere!!!!I I'm afraid to sync in fear of losing all my images and app data. want all mytext and other things to be safe

I need to transfer music from another itunes library. My last compter hard drive failed. I have several hours of songs and I don't want to lose these. Is there a way to transfer music from another libray to current? I have recovered the purchased music but would like to transfer other. I have a mini without a disc drive so it makes loading the same music difficult. Please help.

I have an iPhone 3GS and have never added any music to the device as I had an iPod. The iPhone and iPod are hooked up to the same computer and same iTunes account. My iPod recently broke and now I am trying to add some of my music to the iPhone but I get a message that says: The iphone is synced with another iTunes Library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTune's library?
I have never had the iPhone hooked up to another iTunes account. I don't want to accept and say yes and lose all the info on my iPhone.

I'm having the same problem after upgrading my iPhone 3Gs to iOS 5 (and upgrading iTunes to 10.5). I noticed after doing this the ring tone I was using for incoming calls was no longer on the phone. Before the upgrade I was syncing ringtones with iTunes without problems. My contacts and apps still still sync as before, but when I try to enable syncing for ring tones in iTunes, I get the message reported at the beginning of this thread. Any risk of losing anything if I go ahead and enable ring tone syncing? The message is definitely misleading.

Yet another grey folder thread, help!

Sorry for yet another grey folder thread, but here goes:
Today, earlier, installed Firefox update, along with some addon updates for that program. Quit Firefox and attempt to relaunch, relaunch fails. Reset computer, thinking that will do the trick, I now have grey folder with question mark.
Resolve attempts: reset pram = fail; apple care cd = will not launch/fail; disk utility from original install disks = fail; cannot get repair of disk or permissions to work, continually get error about "failing on exit"; safe mode launch = fail
So, I've done everything, and I've come to conclusion that I am f***, and my HDD is fried (but I hope I am wrong).
So, dear gurus, my question(s)
A) Is my HDD salvageable at all? is there some trick to getting the AppleCare cd to work? Anything?!?!
if not, then B) How can I recover my documents/music/pictures? Long story short, there are several things on there that never had a chance to make my back up schedule, and I desperately want to keep them. Any way to make/copy a disk image to save the docs/imgs, or Firewire them to an external hdd? Do I need to consider a professional HDD rescue?

Looks like a mechanical failure, and Apple won't cover the replacement due to a drop it sustained a year or two ago (the power cable was in, and it fell on the connection point, denting that in, Apple states there is a critical board their and that it would be $950 Tier 3 repair which I can't afford). So I'm going to try a Firewire Migration and a few other things and see if that works. If not, oh well. Thanks everyone for the ideas!

HT201263 All I get when I open my iPod is the USB connection to iTunes image. Although it says the iPod needs to be restored, when I go through that process it says it cannot restore because "No device detected". I don't know what else I can do??

There was a recovery performed on my computer and I have now lost all of my music on the computer. After re-installing iTunes I tried to sync my iPod but I get the message The iPod"*" is snyced with another iTunes library. An iPod can only be synced with one iTunes library at a time. What would you like to do. I only have a few purchased items and Erase and sync is not an option. I spent months already copying all my CD's to my iTunes. I do not want to do this again. How can I get the 30 gigs of music and video from my iPod back onto my computer?

We got a new computer a couple of months ago and I'm trying to download more tunes from iTunes. It's saying my iPod is synced with another iTunes library. It's asking if I want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library. NO! I don't want to lose all of my songs! I just want to add the new ones! We don't have our old computer anymore so I can't access the old library. Am I screwed at this point?

Synced with another iTunes

I am trying to sync songs to an ipod nano which someone else has already synced songs to, and I continue to get the message "The iPod is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase the iPod and sync with this iTunes library?" If I cancel the message it doesn't do anything? Please help. My boss is trying to send this ipod to his son in iraq and everyone is putting their favorite songs on it for him. MANY THANKS!!!

Yes it will be erased and the empty library will replace it. So first thing is you want to say NO to that question. For information/help on getting the stuff into your new computer...

Any way to repair iPad that has USB -- iTunes image without a computer?

My parents‘ iPad won't boot and just shows a USB--> iTunes image. They are using the iPad as their sole computer for a few months and are currently traveling, so they really need it. Is there any way to fix their iPad without hooking it up to another computer, or do they need to wait until they can get to an Apple store?

Sorry, but there is no way activate the iPad, update the software, restore, etc. without connecting to iTunes on a computer.

If your iPod is set to update automatically you just need to take care when connecting to a different PC and iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No* (or "Cancel" if you are using iTunes 7). Pressing "Yes" (or Erase and Sync in iTunes 7) will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In iTunes 7 Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

There is a new function in iTunes 7 under File, "Transfer Purchases from iPod" which transfers iTMS purchases. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

ITunes Image and Item Subtitles not appearing

Hello and thanks in advance.
Checked all the forums, so just wondering if I should wait 2-3 days, or if anyone has experienced the same issue and perhaps I have one or two more steps to complete. Here are the basics;
using a joomla v1.5 site and Podcast Suite to create the rss feed
Tested the feed with the local iTunes and I was able to see the individual podcast (item titles, durations, release dates and item sub titles). I was NOT able to see the main IMAGE.
When I submitted the podcast to the iTunes store - the Image appeared to have a problem. Immediately after entering the rss feed - the conformation screen showed all of the proper details, however the IMAGE area displayed a "broken chain". I tried multiple attempts to correct this;
600x600.jpg - RGB image
300x300.jpg - RGB image
change the storage location of the image on the joomla web site
Nothing seemed to make a difference, so I went forth and finished the submission to iTunes. Now the podcast site was approved (yesterday evening - 10/26) ...and I am wondering if I should just wait and see - or if I have more work to do to correct the Image issue and Subtitle issue.

All is working well - except the image. It has been about 10 days, so just wondering if there is yet another step.
