Another Media Processor 8100 Upgrade Issue

Hi,
A few days ago I posted here about a problem upgrading a Media Processor 8100 (from 6.2.1 to 6.2.4). I was able to solve my problem, but now I've encountered a different problem upgrading a second 8100 box.
After I ran the upgrade through the web gui, the webserver refused to display any page. So I RDP'd onto the desktop of the box, copied in the upgrade exe file, and ran it directly from the command line. This appeared to work OK (the logfile ended with 'Log Closed') but after reboot I'm getting the following error, when I try to access the web gui:

    Hi,
    I'm attempting a firmware upgrade on a Media Processor 8100 (from 6.2.1 to 6.2.4). Unfortunately it seems to have failed. When I try to access the web gui (https://x.x.x.x/encadmin) it brings me straight into the recovery page, with a message "InletEncoder is not accessible. Restart Encoding Service 1." and the only thing I can do on this page is press the Reboot button. Several reboots have not improved the situation.
    I can also RDP to the Windows desktop on the 8100. Anybody know if there's a way to recover this box? Can I copy the InletSpinnakerUpdate.exe directly to the desktop and run it locally?

    Hello Eanna,
    The upgrade didn't complete successfully, there is a swupdate file in the
    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\encadmin\updates directory that you can view with notepad. If you go to the end of that file and look for a log closed statement this will help confirm the upgrade. If you run it from the remote desktop this file will not generate. Please attempt to run the upgrade again from the remote desktop web gui first before running the .exe from the desktop to generate this log..

  • Media Go Installation/Upgrade Issues

    A user of Media Go since day one, I was informed that there was an upgrade (version 1.7) and preceeded to install it... Unfortunately, The installation failed.
    According to the Media Go installation (in a dialog box):
    There was an error during the installation.
    Could not access network location \\STORA\ FamilyLibrary\Desktop\.
    Would you like to submit additional error information?
    In the main installation window in the background, one can see:
    There was an error during the installation.
    Could not access network location \\STORA\FamilyLibrary\Desktop\.
    There was an error during the installation.
    Could not access network location \\STORA\FamilyLibrary\Desktop\.
    One or more features could not be installed. The installation has been stopped.
    Click Cancel to exit.
    After a lot of mucking around, I un-installed Media Go and attempted to install both versions 1.5 and version 1.6, however I received the same error message both times.
    For those that are aware of NETGEAR's Stora products, users must login to a Notification Area (system tray) application called "Stora Agent" , and also login to the network resource via Explorer - I have done this and the folders mentioned above (\\STORA\FamilyLibrary\Desktop\) are available to all applications... Further to this, Media Go was able to access this folder without issue prior to the update/re-installation.
    Any ideas?

    It seems that Media Go is not able to gain access to the folder.
    What if the folder (drive) were not log in protected during install? Maybe that could be a possible solution. As I understand, there is no problem for you to install Media Go on a local drive?

  • Frustrating Phone Upgrade issue

    We need help with phone upgrade issue we encounter when BestBuy associate process our upgrade. Associate is saying we are not eligible but we have not done any phone upgrade since Jan 2011. Our ATT mobile service was established with BB in 2009 and we only upgraded 2 phones in Jan 2011 thru BB. The only recent change in January 2013 was a change of responsibility between my spouse and me since my company has a better employer discount thru ATT. No change and per ATT, no contract and we should be able to upgrade in any retail store. But BB keeps telling us we have issue with ATT and can do our upgrade only with ATT Corporate Store. Our mobile account is a regular family plan account as originally established with BB and just like any BB customer, have employer's discount attached. I don't understand how BB system communicates with ATT system so it is hard for me to explain to ATT what "error message" BB associate is receiving. It has become so frustrating with BestBuy telling us to check with ATT and then for ATT to tell us that there is no issue at their end. We have been a loyal BB customer with all major appliances bought from them including protection plan. The least they can do is work with their ATT representative to figure out between themselves what the issue is. Here we are willing to give both companies our business with new phones and new contracts and no one can help us out.

    hi all
    Each time I download a video or play one, i get an errir message sying that the media processor is busy... how do i fix this? please help

  • Device Media Processor is busy

    I just recently purchased a new torch 9850 and have only had it some six days.  Overall its been working wonderfully so far whoever after a while the music player portion of the phone becomes unresponsive in playing a song with the notification of Device Media Processor is Busy.  Thing is there isn't anything else playing whenever this comes about.  Now I've been able to temporarily get rid of the problem by removing the battery while the phone is still on and performing a cold boot.  Thing is I've had to do this 3 times now, so its starting to get rather annoying particularly for the fact I shouldn't have to do this or be experiencing this problem at all.  Any ideas of what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

  • Upgrade issues OBIEE 10g to 11g along with OBIA upgrade

    I have to upgrade OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 to OBIEE 11.1.1.5 along with OBIA 7.9.6.1 to 7.9.6.5(Informatica 8.6.1 to 9.0.1) at my client location and I have very little knowledge on it. and want to know/have help documents for upgrade.
    And if anyone in the forums involved in upgrade please list the errors/issues occured during upgrade and after upgrade.

  • Report generation toolkit upgrade issues

    I have created multiple vi's in that utilize the previous report generation toolkits specifically using the Generate Report Get Data to Modify.vi and the Generate Report Set Modified Data.vi.  Obviously the report reference has now changed in 8.6's version of the report generation toolkit and these vi's do not exist in the 8.6 library anymore.  What vi's do I need to replace these functions with to make this code work.  Can anyone tell me what the work around is to solving this problem.  This is a picture of the code.

    Hi BJD1613,
    The Report Generation VIs on the LabVIEW Palettes mutate properly. However, you may run into upgrade issues if VIs distributed with LabVIEW, but not available in the Palettes are used in the code. Hence, I would caution against using them for the same reason.
    In this case, the specific references do exist in the report generation classes; however, since they are private, they cannot be accessed by VIs outside the respective classes. A temporary workaround for now is mentioned in the following KB 4OOCSJ4M Getting References in Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.3 with LabVIEW 8.6.  
    This was reported to R&D (CAR# 123064) for further investigation

  • DS 5.2.4 Upgrade Issue - Unable to login to console

    Hello! I have not been able to login to DS console after I have patched it to 5.2.4.   • Upgrade issues list needed

    Hi,
    We're currently on 4.6b and going to upgrade to ECC6 with unicode I'm trying to compile a list point taken care converting to unicode from ABAP technical point of view. Does anyone have such a list?
    Some points i shortlisted are :
    1) Use GUI_UPLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD rather than WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD.
    2) Structures or table headers that contain non-character data need to be identical when moving, comparing, selecting into, updating from, etc.
    3) OPEN DATASET filename IN TEXT MODE FOR INPUT ENCODING DEFAULT.
    I know there are others. Any help would be appreciated.

    We are having a frequent disruption in the communication SO which has an
    externalConnection Class. Did anything change in 3.5? We did not have
    these errors in 3L!
    After these erros, we have a mutex locking problem which leaves our
    application hanging.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!
