Another Media Sync Problem

I don't know what's wrong with this phone but, this is what's happening.
I plug my phone into my computer to sync music files. But the music files on my BlackBerry disappear. I guess that's supposed to happen. After, I go on BlackBerry Desktop Software to Sync my music. After that works, I guess I have to unplug my BlackBerry from the computer to retrieve my music files again. When that happens so, some files seem to grey out. When I tap on it, it tells me to Download it and so I do. But it keeps on saying "Waiting..." So then I plug the phone back into my computer and do the same thing, synchronize. After I did that, and unplugged my phone again, only some music files were downloaded. I checked the "Wi-Fi Music Sync" icon and it listed some songs that weren't finished and that were finished. Also, the Wi-Fi Music Sync keeps saying "Looking for a Computer..." and then it stops and says "Not Connected to Computer."
I really don't get it. When I connect it to the computer (I even left it for hours) it still doesn't download. I tried about 7 times to connect it again and synchoronize again. I'm really new to the BlackBerry thing. How do you synchoronize songs on this phone???...

Repairing permissions did not work.
Turning Faces off did not work.
This worked for me to fix the problem with Aperture library not showing up in the Media Browser, Desktop Background, and Screen Saver:
I created a new library by selecting >file, >>switch to library, >>>other, selected New Library. Then Quit Aperture (have to do this because it did not take until I quit). Restarted Aperture and switched back to my normal library.
Access to my Aperture library in the Media Browser came back right away. Desktop Background also returned. I had to restart the Mac to get the Screen Saver to come back.

New BB user, overall happy, but getting balder and not as a result of male pattern baldness.
When new I was able to transfer playlists from iTunes to BB, to both device memory and memory card.  No upgrades have occurred, gradually the BB would get dumped part way
Through a transfer of a playlist, and then whenver mediasync was accessed…
      Problem: Error message shows:

    What I’ve done:
    Removed battery
Reloaded OS on BB (thank the gods that the backup I made the day before worked!)
Formated media card via BB and via PC
Gone to  iTunes Music Library.xml and deleted said folder-restarted iTunes
Reloaded Desktop manager from web site and from supplied disk
Read the forums - lots of suggestions thank you
Gone to ‘start’ -> ‘run’ and run the command: regsvr32 wmp.dll per suggestion mechanicus
Made smaller playlists 40-50 songs in one instead of 150-200

  • Blackberry link media sync problems

    Hi Blackberry Support,
First of all, it's interesting that RIM brings a new style smartphone Blackberry Passport to gain additional market shares but the support has a structure for lifestyle people. In case of the main goal to develop extraordinaire products for business users i think is this not right way to get these customers.
Now to the sync problems, the using Plattforms are used:
    MAC  OS X 10.10.1
Blackberry Link Version 1.2.2 (Build 11)
    Blackberry -8C40 / Software Version 10.3.0.908
    Following bugs will be found:
    1. to sync music from mac to passport are partly not operate (from approx. 100 titles are 60 on the device, sometimes nothing)
    2. to sync calender & contacts are not operate in both ways
    3. to make backups from the device sometimes operate
    4. to sync videos -  only self made videos operate not iTunes movies
    5. the hole programm sometimes shut down by error report (Apple defect note is available)
So please give me a advise or a solution to resolve the Problems.
    Cheers

Hi Guys and all the customers out there,
Answering the Question after 10 days discussion to resolve the issue in case of Blackberry Link with Blackberry support is definite "NO" not at all!
5 up to 8 Support People are communicate with me in case of the issue. Nearly nobody read the informations that i get from me. Again and again they ask me the same and i repead the same question "Did you read my message" but nothing more going on. Whatever grow with an support over 140 signs platform named Twitter?!
My experiences over 4 weeks with Blackberry Passport and Blackberry Support exhibits, the device including the operating software are good. The support are not goal-directed, it is more an sorts of stall to winning time to resolve the issues in the backround. These are against the customers unfair and untransparent.
It would be better to say, yes we have problems with our link software and we will resolve it asap.
The Company spins with this politics, the costumers decline this and sell the device or changing to another system.
This is the main challenge for RIM to come back in the market!
So for erverybody, before you desides to buy a blackberry device, take a accurately view to the supportforums!

  • Blackberry Media Sync Problems

I downloaded the new Blackberry Media Sync program last night.  It recognized my iTunes library just fine but won't connect to my blackberry.  I get prompted for the devices password and the PIN shows up in the app but then I get an error that the device cannot be found.  According to the comments in the following page on Crackberry I am not the only one.  http://crackberry.com/itunes-your-blackberry-blackberry-media-sync-now-available
I have a Sprint 8130 with OS 4.3.0.127 and am running Windows Vista on my PC.  Any ideas how I can fix this issue?

    Hi Guys, Hi 3rugger,

I tried everything to get it to work but I keep getting the same error message:
BlackBerry Media Sync failed to connect to your BlackBerry device. Click Connect to try again or Cancel to disconnect.
The device is listed in the programs window and the Sprint 8330 is on the Connected to Desktop screen.
I'm running Vista Home Premium with SP2.

  • Media sync problem with BB LINK

I've down every thing to make the BB LINK sync my media files(pictures,music,videos....) but it did not work.I've a mac and I instaled BB link several times, also I restore my BB z10 a few times then I instal BB LINK on my friends ps which runs WINDOWS 7 but no succses, even I swapped my BB z10 because I tought there is somting wrong with my phone and I got another brandnew phone but still I am not able to sync.can any one help me.

    Hello there
Syncing from my device to computer and computer to my device is impossible. On my Mac when I try to sync (pictures, music, videos), "preparing to sync " appears takes more than 5 minutes, then "sync complete" pops up but nothing has been synced to my device although in my device tab on BB LINK software shows the synced file. Also on the device tab shows that my devise has "0 free space" but my device has 11.7 GB free storage space in fact I couldn't sync anything except my contacts which took so long to sync. I've never received any error  massages on my Mac at all. On PC almost every thing is the same as on my Mac except a few error massages like "connection error" or when I plug in my device some USB drivers could not be install also the device dose not appear on "my computer " on PC and on  Finder or iPhoto on my  Mac. I like to know if my device has a problem then I still have time to replace my device if not please help me to fix the issues.

  • Blackberry link media sync problem with BB Z10 latest software

I've just upgraded my BB Z10 software to 10.3.1.1565 and had problem when trying to sync photo. I used USB cable as my PC has no internet connection. It was working perfectly before upgrading software to this version. Other media (ie. Music & others) seems ok. When I selected Picture in sync media, it shows loading sync media relationship and kept on spinning forever. Is there any other way to sync or transfer pictures from my device? I dont have laptop.

You can transfer pics from Device to Computer using BB Device Manager which is found in Programs and when clicked moves to Notification Tray, open it from there and right click the Volume you want Internal=Device, External=SD Card, then click Explore, it should then open to the folders, you can create folders in your Documents then transfer files back and forth.

I do believe you can do so with WMP0. I don't have access to my XP comp at this time to tell you exactly how to do so. Look into the settings or check? herehttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...q/default.mspx

  • Another audio sync problem, but different:

So im just starting the edit on a feature and im tearing my hair out with the audio. Footage was shot on red epic at 24 (23.976), sound guy recorded wav files at 48.0KHz with microsoft PCM format. Ive converted audio 10 times and cant figure it out. Ive used 'switch', quicktime and itunes to convert from wav file to aiff at 16bit, 48KHz and it falls out of sync (audio runs fast). Ive tried trashing fcp prefs with no avail. Ive also taken the original files and synced them in quicktime pro itself, and it even falls out of sync in quicktime with the original wavs, and converted aiffs. HELP. I havent been editing much the past couple of years, so i may just be overlooking something simple.

PrPro is designed for CFR footage, not the variable. So ... as Richard suggested, you need to convert the footage before bringing into PrPro.
    HandBrake download page:
    https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
Use that free and oft-suggested program to convert your clips to CFR, then import into PrPro.

  • Are you having problems syncing with Pocketmac, Missing Sync or Media Sync? Here's what I did...

Just throwing this out there as a solution that worked for my situation. It may not work for everyone's needs.
After NUMEROUS emails back and forth with Pocketmac support I was finally told that Pocketmac will not work if Media Sync is also installed. It causes the "Error 1 Skipping" problem due to a USB driver conflict. So I tried Missing Sync's free trial. No good. It would not sync either, so paying money for the non trial version wasn't going to happen.
So, I ended up keeping Media Sync to keep my iTunes library synced and I started to use a wonderful little free app called "Google Sync". It works beautifully for my needs. It runs in the background (with no negative effect to the BB's performance or battery life) and automatically syncs your gmail contacts and google calendar to your BB device. If you change something on either the BB itself or online, google sync catches it and updates the other accordingly.
So if your sick and tired of messing around with Pocketmac and Missing Sync, give Google Sync a try. I love it!

it was only burning at 4x even though 47x was requested.
That's a issue discussed in the past.
It turns out that 8X DVD burning means about 47X CD burning - you were requesting 8X DVD but only got 4X DVD burning.
I haven't seen it discussed anymore so maybe Apple got around to eliminating that 'quirk' in terminology.
I suspect some of the early 8x DVD burners didn't perform as advertised. I'm glad your new 16X burner is working for you.

  • Media Sync Connection Problems

I've recently purchased a Storm (9530) and have installed DM 4.7 and Media Sync (1.1.0.24) directly from the blackberry site including a clean uninstall of all RIM software.  Media Sync installs, but everytime I connect my 9530 I can see my PIN but can not do anything else.  The 'Options' tab is grayed out and no playlists from iTunes show up.
After scouring this site I've attempted about every remedy shown thus far.  Here are some details:
    - Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
    - 9530 OS .75
    - Run Media Sync as administrator & have compatability mode set to XP Service Pack 2
    - Have wiped handheld already
    - Have reformatted the media card already (both in 9530 and also on my computer in a card reader)
    - Both the 9530 and the Media card do show up via Windows Explorer
    - Mass Media Storage set to 'On'
    - Launch Media Sync by desktop icon
    - iTunes 8.0.2.20 (problem also with iTunes 7.7)
    - Music is DRM-free MP3 (it does sync via WMP)
    - iTunes library and music are in default locations(...user\music\iTunes)
What else could be causing this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
If you have a media card plug the BB in and see if you can find it as a removable drive, this will test the cable.
    Try using these USB drivers:

I have a 8330, upgrade my Desktop Manager to V4.6 and running V4.3 on BB.  I am trying to get MusicSync to work, but I get a error each time I goto to start it up.

    You just solved your problem.
Media manager and Media sync will not move or transfer itunes, that are DRM protected. You will see little red locks on them
in media sync. Blackberry will not play them even if you were to get them there. There are iTunes that are not DRM but they cost more.
Now I don't know anything about this but I know if you Google you supposedly can find free apps that will strip the DRM from the
songs. (That's what I hear anyway.)
    That explains both your problems.

  • Problems with BB Media Sync and Curve 8330

I having problems getting BB Media Sync to work with my curve 8330.  Some background info:
I am using Windows 7 (I have also tried connecting it on a PC running XP to no avail).
I have an 8 GB microsd card in my curve.
BB Desktop software recognizes my BB.
Windows Explorer does however does not (no removable storage shows up in My Computer (this is true on both my PC running 7 and the one running XP).
I have already checked that mass storage is enabled.
The error message that I get is "Your device is not recognized by Blackberry Media Sync...".
My BB flashes the connecting screen for about a second and then says "Connected to Desktop" when I open BB Media Sync but to no avail.
I have also already tried formatting the microsd card in the blackberry "Media" menu.
I have tested to make sure that its not a USB connection problem and that is not the issue.
I'm at a loss of what else there is to do, can anyone help please?
    Thank you in advance.

I am having a similar problem with my Curve 8330, though I use a Mac and have tried connecting to a PC to only get the same results.
    I have a 4GB Micro SDHC
My BB will connect with BB Desktop Manager to sync calendars, contacts, etc. but no media
Although the computer and the Phone communicate via Desktop Manager, my BB device does not show up in finder
I get an error message that says mass media storage mode must be activated
I have activated these features under Options/Media Card: Media Card Support - On; Encryption Mode - None; Mass Storage Mode Support - On; Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected - Yes
I have reformatted my Micro SDHC card

  • Problems with Blackberry Media Sync

I am the owner of a Blackberry Storm 9500 and use BB Desktop Manager v. 5.0.1 and am having problems with Media Sync. I keep getting the message that BB Media Sync has encountered a problem and needs to close.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Jungleboy6 and tje1976:
Somehow the default Picture Import folder path has been corrupted in your registry.  We’re trying to get to the bottom of this problem.  If you could give us a little more info, it would be very helpful.
Here are the steps to follow to fix this issue:
    - Start->run, type ‘regedit’, enter
    - Navigate the tree to this location:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Media Sync\Settings
    - You should see a setting on the right called “PictureImportPath”
Before you do anything, can you take note of what the current value in the ‘Data’ column is?
To fix the problem, double click ‘PictureImportPath’ and change the value data to a valid folder path on your computer.  Ie C:\MediaSyncImportPath
Hit Ok.  Close Regedit.  Restart the application.
Let me know if this works.  And if you could let me know the value it was set to and also your Operating System, it would help us track down the underlying problem.
    Thanks.
