Another new comp that wont boot up. (please help)

I recently bought some parts to to build a new computer and i cant get it to boot up. The first time i tried it, the computer booted up fine for about 5 secs. Then, i heard 2 short beeps and it went dead. Now i cant even get the computer to turn on. Here is what i tried so far and the computer hasnt been able to turn on again:
removed everything except the cpu and heatsink, and tried it with different combination and got nothing
switch the memory to different slots
reseted the cmos
check to make sure the wire was plugged into the jpw1
recheck all my connection

It has been awhile since i last built a computer, but i never had a problem before. THe last time i built a computer the highest cpu was a pent 3, so a lot of these new hardwares are new to me. These sata drives and everything is new to me but im pretty sure i set all the connections up right.
I have been reading through the forums and i found out that 2 short beeps can mean two things. Bad memory or post failure, but wouldnt my comp still turn on and continue to beep? I can't get the D-bracket 2 connector up to see what the problem is since my computer wont even turn on. I am planning to take my PSU apart later today to see if i blew a fuse when i get home. Until then, anybody know what is wrong? Is there anything else i can do to test what is wrong with the cpu? Am i right about the 2 beeping noises? any advices would be great. Thanx in advance.

I went to my trusty reminder book and your right. 2 beeps are a memory problem or failure to post. you said you checked everything and reseated your RAM and all. have you completely disconnected your power cord from the computer? even with the computer off the mobo will still get a small amount of power to it. if your using a ATX power supply. you may need to do this to get the mother board to reset it be able to turn it back on. if you have other compatable RAM try using it to boot the computer up. wish you luck and let us know the out come. its a new comp. and i was run the Mac OS X install disk when i realized someone did it for me earlier so i went to close it. I chose the pre-existing Mac OS X system on the comp and hit restart and the comp restarted but instead of booting up it went to a "DOS" like screen. It says:

You might try to reset the SMC and/or PRAM. I am out of options after that.

HP DV4-1155SE Black Screen and Wont Boot. Please Help!

Hello all I am working on an Hp DV4-1155SE. I have tested the memory modules, the hard drive and everything else that I can take out of the computer easily. Everything works but!, The laptop will not boot into the bios or anything else. Black screen, wont boot and i have the bios file that HP supplies on the support page of the site. I have looked at the instructions that a few people have posted about re flashing the bios and that does not seem to help me at all with this AMD processor. If anyone can please offer any help at all this would be greatly appreciated.

My problem started before the bios-screen.
This is what I tried this evening:
- Disconnected all non-essential devices...no effect.
- Cleared the CMOS...system booted to OS! Screens still garbled!
- Put in an older graphics-card...No artifacts!
- Put my MSI NX6600GT (AGP) back in...screen grabled while booting. Once in OS everything
looks fine at first. Later I noticed some odd random pixels. Playing movies is working fine.
Playing 3D games results in all kinds of strange looking artifacts.
- Installed the latest NVidia- drivers...no effect.
Is my problem still MOBO related or Graphics Adapter?
Any further advice?

my PowerMac G5 wont boot, power suply or graphics card? When i press the power button is the chime and then after a while (fem minutes) the fans start revving up, all with a black screen........

See if it will come up into Open Firmware and let you do an NVRAM reset.
Hold the cmd-option-O-F key combination when powering. If the screen actually comes up, you should see a light background with black letters. To do the resed, enter the following three commands.
reset-nvram <enter>
set-defaults <enter>
reset-all <enter>
I don't have a lot of hope, in one sense, but it you get the OF terminal screen, then that says at least that at its basic guts, the machine is sort of working, and we can go from there. And, if it does make it into OF, the resets might actually clear things up.

I believe i have 2 problems.
First this is what ive already done:
I ran an extensive hardware test, no problem
In disk utility I erased my harddrive and clean installed Mavericks,
Verified and repaired disk, no problems
Verified and repaired permissions, no problems
Disk boots up fine when running on MacBookPro through Firewire
Zapped PRAM/NVRAM plenty
After upgrade I can no longer boot into safe mode, Stalls after 25%
Can no longer use CMD-R
Can no longer use Apple Hardware Test
Doesnt seem like I can update firmware from disk by holding down the power button. not sure im using the right disk either.
These problems probably stem from running complex graphics on a windows 7 partitions I used to have.
     First off I think my GPU is out. I get Thick Green lines down the screen that are not from screen damage straight from startup.
After Chime the apple logo pops up and loads but after a while the wheel stops and the computer will reboot moments after. Im hoping this is a Firmware problem and I dont have to replace my GPU. My computer has booted up with the lines before and I dont think its the cause for not booting but im no professional. Before I updated to Mavericks This Problem already existed. Can a failing GPU cause boots to fail?
     During hardware test the green lines would go away and I would have a clean screen.
I loaded Mavericks from a USB drive from there onto the newly erased harddrive (32 Write erase). Everything was going great until I got close to the end of the loading bar for the setup and it froze. The colors on my screen displayed everything but with the colors messed up into a rainbow oval on the top half of the screen. I rebooted and suddenly I cant boot from anything. Harddrive, Install Disk, or USB
     So I plugged up my firewire and got on a MacBookPro with Mavericks and erased the disk again. Then I installed Mavericks flawlessly and it will boot from the MacBookPro but not from the Imac.
When I boot in Verbose mode I get an error that says
BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist:2 no such file or directory
Then
NVDAStartup: Official (im guessing thats my GPU)
and a bunch of SMC:smcReadKeyAction ERRORS
and Sandbox: authd(##) deny file-write & deny file-read errors
Im thinking I need a new GPU but I want to be absolutely certain before I spend anything on replacing parts.
Could this be a EFI Firmware Problem?
like a Firmware/boot data problem from a bad ESP (I dont know what is what really).
If all this is part of the GPU it would totally make sense to just go ahead and replace it if thats the case. But im no expert, What do you think?

Very simple take it to an Apple Store or AASP and have it professionally diagnosed. Anything else would be guessing. Do NOT spend a penny on it until it is professionaly diagnosed otherwise you stand and excellent chance of throwing good money after bad.

I would restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod on your computer and start over. It appears the iPod is associated with another account. Any media that came with the iPod does not belong to you and di not transfer with the iPod hardware.

Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out. --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.

How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.

Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:

- You can try disabling the camer notification

Illustrator CS4 wont save files, please help?

You can edit a file, go to save, close it down, then when you re-open it the changes made have not been saved?? No error message or warning pops up, and it all looks ok like it has saved properly, until you open it up again. This also happens when you use 'save as' command if you use the original file name. If however you type in a different file name - it saves ok. But obviously that is not great as you cant now trust or rely on the save mechanism of the programme, to make sure any changes to artwork have been stored!! I have never seen an issue like this, it is worrying, I hope somebody can help?

We are running CS4 on windows7 - yes PC!!!

We save in EPS, and its not just one file, its a variety of different files and it seems to be random as to which files it does it on, some work fine - some don't. And it can be anything from a minor text change to a colour change, it doesnt seem to matter on the change made, it reacts the same.
The files are saved over a network connection to a large external hard drive.
Its really puzzling and now starting to cause problems as we do a fair bit of work in it, and can't trust one of the most important features, and that any changes that have been done have been saved and stored!
Hope maybe you can help with any thoughts at all.

You could use FND_FLEX_LOADER_APIS.UP_VALUE_SET_VALUE to upload them from staging table (I suppose you mean value set values...).
You can find a sample scripts if you google around.
What do you mean "how to map any API to our staging table" ?
You should do at least the following mapping (which column(s) in the staging table will provide these information):
- the 3 value sets name which you're going to update/upload (I suppose these are existing value sets or which have been already created)
- the value set values and description
Try to start with something and if there is any issues the community could then help... but for the time being with the description of the problem you have provided, that's the best I can do...

You must be using an update CD. You need the software that has the full version first - install that, then you can use the update one if needed. I know, cuz I made the same mistake - lol
