Another "new" user interface?

Question

I admit I'm not an iTunes poweruser, but as a user experience designer I get it that workflow needs improvement as software and users evolve, but why is it that every new app from Apple since Snow Leopard is losing it's level of visual refinement and consistency.
iTunes has lost its sophistication and feels less like an Apple product and more like a third-party shareware app with no character. Maybe there is some improvement to function yet to be seen for me, but form seems to be totally lacking. For instance, the lame drop down menu to switch between different libraries … they have to be kidding.
Secondly, how about let's address some of the elephants in the virtual room, like the name iTunes, how to consolidate old accounts, more intuitive way to manage multiple devices and user accounts.
Anyone else have similar reactions?

Cover Flow is not a feature of iTunes 11. There is an app in the Mac App Store called "Album Flow" that purports to offer a similar feature, but I don't know how well, or even if, it works.
As to the menu bar, it remains at the top of the screen just as with any Mac program. If you instead mean the category selections, e.g. Songs, Albums, etc, then as Steve said go to the View menu and select Show Sidebar and you'll have all those selections on the left just as in previous versions of iTunes.
