Another Photoshop upgrade serial number issue

Hello,
I know this comes up A LOT in these and other fora; however, I just purchased and downloaded Photoshop CS6 as an upgrade from CS3 Extended. I have my full (24 digit) serial number, but the Upgrade dialog box will not accept the number as valid. What can I do? I paid $200 for this software and I'd like to be able to use it.

Hello. Is it for the same platform (Pc & Mac?) It was not an education version? Or a not for resale version (very rare case)?

but the fastest, as John said, is to contact Adobe customer service in your country.

Photoshop LightRoom Serial Number Issue

I bought Adobe Photoshop Lightroom a couple weeks ago from Best Buy in box format (with a serial number insert). I tried installing it on my computer and registering and using the serial number and all that, but it says that the serial number is no good, and I've checked it at least 5-10 times, and I typed it correctly every time. What do I need to do and is there a way that I could get a replacement serial number at all?? I need Lightroom to work ASAP so that I can finish a customers project that is soon to be DUE.

Upgrade serial number issue

So, I think this is a question for Apple, but I can't find a support e-mail address for aperture. I have Aperture 3 upgrade disc. I HAD Aperture 2 on a MacMini that just died, so now I am tryting to instal the 3 upgrade on my new imac, but it wants the Orig serial number for 2....I found the EMPTY aperture 2 sleeve but the rest of the package is gone, with...yup, all the serial numbers. Is there a way to get my serial number from Apple?

The serial number that you might have is an upgrade version & it will be asking for a previous qualifying version serial number.

Reinstall Photoshop 8, Serial Number MIA

I have had PhotoShop Elements 8 installed on my late 2009 MacBook for several years. 2 years ago I got 11, when I installed it, 8 didn't go away, but it didn't seem to cause any problems. A few weeks ago I had a few things that were opening with 8 as the default. Today I decided to uninstall. The Uninstaller told me to deactivate it first, so I did, then I uninstalled it. I then realized that it took away my Bridge program. When I tried to reload it with my disk, it wants a serial number, which I don't have (I threw the box out long ago). I tried to restore it from the Time Machine...it didn't work (I don't understand why) Chat support is no help...the program is too old. Is there anyway I can find the serial number or is there a magic "master" serial number. I really love Bridge but can't afford the programs that it is attached to now and am on a jetpack and can't afford data in the clouds...it has to be on my hard drive.

If you registered the software then your serial number should be in your 'My Adobe' A/c under 'My Products'.

Moved to new Macbook Pro; Aperture 3 Upgrade Serial Number not Accepted

I have just moved to a new MacBook Pro. I migrated Aperture 3 from my Macbook. This was originally an upgrade from Aperture 2.
When opening Aperture 3 on the MacBook Pro I am asked for the serial number. I enter the upgrade serial number which is rejected.
I am really struggling to find the Aperture 2 box and don't know whether that serial number would be the solution.
Has anyone else come across this issue and know how it is resolved?
Assume I will not be able to find the Aperture 2 box. Can Apple help given that I will have previously registered Aperture 2 and 3 in the past? I really don't want to have to splash out on another couple of hundred quid for a lost box.

Yes, assuming that you legally purchased the original version of Aperture from Apple, they will have the serial number on file. When you call they can provide you with the original serial number.

Photoshop CS6 Serial Number Ineffective

My Photoshop CS6 serial number won't work. When entered I get a message telling me that two machines are in use and I must disconnect one of them. If I can find a way to get around this fine, otherwise i will need another "workable" serial number and would like to know how to go about getting one if this is the case.

You are only allowed to have the software activated on two machines at any given time. The way around this is to deactivate one of the installations if you are aware of where these two existing installations are.
If you are not aware of any other installations and/or this is a newly acquired serial number, then you need to contact Adobe Support by chat or by telephone.

2 issues - Invalid Serial Number issue & Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question

not sure if I should split these two questions...
1 - Invalid Serial Number issue
I'm helping out a friend with their large photo collection and they bought Lightroom 5 and received the serial number but when we add this to Lightroom it states that it's invalid - I tried leaving it until the following week (I visit them weekly) and it still refusing the number - when I went into their Adobe account and took a look at downloads the option to download the full version is greyed out (or an x - I'm not sat on their computer right now so can't double check) but it wouldn't allow me to do anything so we just had the trial version.
anyone know what the issue is - shall I get them to contact Adobe to get them to take a look - I also had issues trying to find a customer support email address lol. (I seem to faffing with lots of websites/software/companies this week so getting a little frazzled!)
2 - Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question
This question is linked to the above i- I am wondering if the folders in Lightroom are different in the trial version vs the fully paid version.
I had set up some greeting card templates and contact sheet layouts for my friend and tried to transfer them to her computer but whilst, LR 'sees' the folders it just doesn't acknowledge the templates - I tried it several ways but I've not had that issue before so will that sort itself when I get the serial number fixed?

Hi Lenny, the two questions may be related but the trial is actually the same as the full version. I would suggest getting the serial number issue sorted out first. There have been known issues where a paid for product still shows up as a trial.There is not a lot the community can do. You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2. Serial number issues or activating my product
3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the button marked “chat now”

Help Please!! I recently purchased a new computer and I'm in the process of transferring programs and files. I can't find my Photoshop PS5 serial number or Key code anywhere. I don't want to upgrade to the cloud.. Can anyone tell me where I can find my serial number within PS5 like maybe help or something

No, you cannot get the complete serial number from an installed program. that would completely defeat the purpose of the activation system. Contact support by web chat or phone, maybe they can help you.

Serial number issues with my ACADEMIC version of FCP

Am I not able to download FCP updates because I have an academic version of the application?!?!?!? I saw this on another thread:
"Upgrade serial numbers cannot be used with Academic or Not for Resale numbers from a previous version"
Please let me know if there's a way for me to download updates, as my version of FCP (5.1) is now not compatible with the version at school!!!!

Having an Academic serial number doesn't prevent you from downloading free updaters. It prevents you from upgrading to Final Cut Pro 6 or Final Cut Studio 2 at the reduced price.

Apple support page doesn't recognize my serial number of my iphone 5. Instead it have another iPhone 5 serial number that I don't know where it comes from

I was reading on the internet that Apple just made an iPhone 5 battery replacement program and that I need to provide the serial number to see if my iPhone cualify for the replacement. So i went to the support page where i found the link to the replacement program and just need to put my iPhone serial number and see if it cualify something that i was sure it will because the one that were affected are the one that where bought between septermber 2012 (the month i bought it) and january 2013. When i click submit i got a message that says .
When i saw that "I already replaced the battery" I log in to my account on the support page and I didn't found my actual and only iPhone 5 i have registered in my products, BUT i have another iPhone 5 case open and 3 services to that iPhone 5 i don't know and its not mine. That iPhone have another very different serial number and when i check the services they have done are from an Apple Store in California and I from Puerto Rico.
Can someone explain me what to do or anyone have this same problem, tell me

It's possible that if they serviced your phone before, they replaced the entire unit making you ineligible for the battery replacement. Have you had your iPhone replaced thought Applecare recently?

Photoshop CS4 Serial number flagged as invalid when I know it's OK. I have been transferring my software to Windows7 from XP by running two operating systems on separate volumes so I can keep working while dealing with compatibility problems. I have my original CD with serial number that I have been using for years. I have wasted a lot of time on this but I am now at the stage where I have deactivated and uninstalled PS from XP, reinstalled from download from Adobe on Win7. When I install I'm asked for the serial number which is accepted OK. When I try to run PS I'm again asked for s/n but this time it's flagged as Invalid. I have had to resort to running as 30 day trial while I trying to find a solution. I'm now desperate, Help Please!

BUT the good news is, I have tried again this new day and NOW it goes through. Go figure!
