Another question...this time about Styles in PSE 10...help?
I've had Photoshop Elements 7.0 for quite some time, and use styles pretty often. When I bought Photoshop Elements 10 a while ago, I transferred all of the styles I've accumulated over the years into the PSE 10 - and then discovered that most of them do not show up in Effect panel (except for those already pre-installed by Adobe). I'm kind of bummed - how do I find a way to use my favorite styles in Effect panel? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi again.
Now that I feel better about my previous problem I have another question: I ripped some really old LPs from my personal collection to mp3 format and transferred them to my iPod. Those LPs are really obscure and info about them on the Net is virtually inexistent. I scanned the LP covers (a tedious process since my scanner isn't big enough to hold the whole cover) and embedded the pictures into the audio files. For some time, they appeared OK within CoverFlow, but now they've been replaced by the two sixteenth notes symbol. I've tried synchronizing my iPod with cover art disabled and then enabling it again-resyncing, changing the images format to jpg to bmp and nothing works. I think I'd download a different image file from the Net and use it instead, but again, nothing can be found about these LPs. Is there a solution for this aside from rescanning the covers? (Again, it would be OK for me if I hadn't to join and fix images using PhotoShop since I can't scan the whole cover at once). Thank you again!You do not say what the image resolution of your scanned artwork is but, I recently read a post stating that too high resolution can cause problems. Try changing the resolution of your final images to something smaller than 500x500. You should be able to do this in PhotoShop without rescanning the covers.

Hi after updating my iPad to Os6 I get to the point where it needs to be restored? It does a download bar and says 'Extracting software' then I get the message 'iPad cannot be restored at this time because the ipad update software server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable' .. I have been to the trouble shoot section ..as it has an error code .. but when you click on that it does nothing .. I have turn off my firewall etc.. just keep getting that message?? HELP

Resolution
- Restart the iPhone.

i had a question this is about ODS.
my staging scenario is ODS and Infocube because of the availablity of the chang log for supporting Delta .
in my job here u never know what request is right and what request is wrong and some requests r right today and wrong tomm.
so i have to delete the request every now and then . and i have
to do the init delta from ODS to Cube almost every time.
this is my actual question?
when i am deleting the request from the ODS it is deleting from the active data table and i dont know it is deleting from chang log
or not because it is showing the same no of records before and after( but according to my book knowledge it has to delete from chang log also) and i want to add one more thing here.
when i am running init and delta from ODS to Infocube it is working fine .
Pls can some body explain me what is happening with ODS (chang log)

2> what do you mean by request is correct today and wrong tomorrow? Is your scenario is like in which request 'A' is right in today's date and will be incorrect in tomorrows date. If yes please write your scenario.
3> Why you need to INIT every time have you given any selection while first time you did INIT.

The gist of the chat was that there were "unknown delays in the shipment of HTC phones" and the best guess is shipping approximately a week after the initial promise date. Perhaps I'm the only one experiencing their "ship date" moving from a given date to the text, "Not available at this time", and therefore should consider myself "special".

Another question about upgrading RAM on G4 iMac
I know that there are numerous threads on this forum about upgrading RAM and I am sorry to have to open another one but, having read many of them, I am still confused!
I have unopened copies of Leopard and ILife 08 that I am planning to install on my 17-inch 1GHz G4 iMac with 768 MB of RAM (256 MB in the factory slot and 512 MB in the user accessible slot). I know that this model does not support all the functions of these programs but I am currently running Panther and the very first iLife so I think it's time for an upgrade!
Apple states that this model supports up to 1GB RAM so I have been thinking that in order to get the best out of the new software I should upgrade to 1GB RAM. My questions are:
1. Do I need to upgrade or is the existing RAM of 768 MB likely to be sufficient?
2. If I upgrade, how easy is it to add RAM to the factory slot? I have searched but can find no instructions on this here or on the Apple website which implies that this is not recommended.
3. Several threads on this forum seem to suggest that, in order to avoid having to mess with the factory slot, it is possible to put 1GB RAM in the user accessible slot and leave the factory slot well alone, resulting in total RAM greater than the maximum recommended by Apple. Is this correct or have I misunderstood?

That will probably be sufficient. You could always install and run both Leopard and iLife '08 and see if you feel that they are working OK before buying any RAM.

Apple does not post the directions because this is not considered something that a user can do by themselves.

That is correct. You could replace the 512 MB in the user accessible slot with 1 GB to provide a total RAM of 1.256 GB. -

There are a couple of things that you can do yourself before taking your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP... download and run an application named Rember that will run a RAM test for you - let it run for a couple of hours or even overnight. If it turns out that your RAM is faulty, Rember will let you know. If it is faulty, then you have a couple of options - replace the RAM yourself or (particularly if you're under warranty still) take the machine to an Apple Store or AASP and have them replace the RAM.
If Rember finds no fault with the RAM, then you'll need to take it into an Apple Store/AASP and get a free diagnosis on the machine. Three beeps do usually indicate faulty RAM, but if it tests good with Rember you likely have another problem - it could be something as simple as the RAM, somehow, not seated correctly or signs of another hardware problem.
Run Rember first... call back with results.

I have installed Adobe Reader 11.0.07 for Mac OS 10.9.3. Have asked this question numerous time without results. The problems I am having are: I cannot scroll using the side slider on downloaded PDF files, nor can I fill in fillable files. Also, and this is extremely irritating, I cannot re-initialize the same file or initialize and another PDF file after I have initialized the first file. If you cannot help please let me know if should use an earlier version of Reader or find anther company that has the appropriate software.
Perhaps you missed that you started a discussion at I have OS 10.9.2 and have downloaded latest version of Reader 11. I can no longer fill in form or scroll using the side bar. and you did not respond to the last post there.

Hi ya'll! I'm still learning how to navigate my way with Lightroom. (Last time I wrote, I did get some responses that work. Thanks so much!) Now, I have another question. When I try to copy pics from my external drive to a CD/DVD, no matter if do it from LR or my drive, I keep getting the message; "Disk burning is not supported by LR on this computer." I've tried everything I can think of, so, I thought I'd see if anyone may know if there's anything I can do. Or could it be that my computer just can't handle it? Help!!! So frustrating!! I have a PC Lenovo computer, I don't know if this makes any difference. Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help!!!

Just got to say, mobile me is incredibly fragile. Apple should rename the service mobile beta.
I have two problems,
1) "Contacts cannot be synced at this time because another computer is currently syncing this data". I have two PCs and made some changes to the adress book. Now I get this error every fifteen minutes on my work PC. This is incredibly annoying. I am guessing that there is a dialog box displayed on my home PC warning that more than 5% of my data has changed and do I want to continue.
Apple, please take this dialog box out of the Sync transaction operation otherwise it looks the entire process for all clients, if a user cannot access their PC at that moment to respond to the dialog.
2) I created a new Address book Group on the server/cloud and populated it with several addresses. On my iPhone the group is shown but it is empty. Is this possibly related to the problem (1)?.
Anybody have any suggestions? Is my idea about the cause correct?You could try again later but usually, that message means that the server detected a jailbroken device. Has your iPad been hacked or jailbroken? Or, has your computer been used with a hacked or jailbroken device?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
