Another solution to fix MAIL
Finally, I somehow managed to fix Mail app from hanging, eating CPU, crashing and doing all nasty things well known in this forum.
I would not say that is exactly the cure, but here is what I've done:
1) Put ISP DNS in the Airport station
2) Cleaned up entire Mac partition
3) Installed Tiger, clean
4) Downloaded all updates
5) Set up all accouts (all IMAP, Gmail and .Mac)
6) Downloaded all my e-mails
7) Upgraded to 10.5
8) Had to download even more mails
But mail no longer crashes
Quick note, you'll also need VLC player to properly get the video off the DVDs you own with handbreak.

Another device is accessing mail...
I have a POP account that I access from my MacBook, as well as my Ipad. I've noticed that if I have both devices switched on, one of them can't access mail - the iPad says "another device is accessing mail" and the MacBook just goes offline. Ports are the same, settings are the same.
Is there a fix?This is a limitation of POP email accounts.
POP3 is an old email protocol which was designed for being accessed from one device only, and it generally downloads emails to the device and deletes them from the server. Some POP servers "lock" access to the mail so if another device tries to access the server it can't.
You should switch your email account to IMAP, which is specifically designed for being accessed from multiple devices at the same time, and access the mail directly on the server so everything is "in sync" on every device you access the mail from.

Since the latest Snow Lepard security download, Quicken 2007 for Mac does not function properly (it crashes and will not print). Quicken says it is waiting for a fix from Apple. Any idea when that might come? Does anyone have another solution?

I currently have 1,177 photos on my iphone (4s) but it takes up 4.9 GB of space. Why is it so large? I do not use photostream - this is simply within my "Camera Roll". Other than deleting the photos, can someone tell me another solution?
My friend has over 2,000 photos on her iphone and it only used 1.7 GB of space and I know I had at one point over 3,000 photos on my phone and still had space left for more.
Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Melissa.When you open your camera app, does it say "HDR on" at the top?
HDR photos are better quality but take up much more space.
Also, go to Settings>photos and camera. Scroll down to "keep normal photo". Is it on? This feature saves a normal copy and an HDR copy of every photo you take.
I bet your friend has this feature turned off along with the HDR as well. -
Has anyone found a solution to sending mail to Groups in Mavericks? I've been given two solutions - neither are satisfactory. One is to type name of group into address line, the other is to go to address book and right click on group.

If i delete mail in G-mail than automatically delete in Thunderbird, How can I prevent from this there is any solution to remain mail in thunderbird?
If you have a gmail IMAP mail account, you need to understand tht you are remotely viewing the server folders, so basically the folders you see in Thunderbird are the same folders you see when you use webmail - (logon to google account via browser).
If you want to delete emails off the server, but keep those specific emails accessible in Thunderbird, then you need to move/copy them from the Thunderbird IMAP gmail mail account and store them in Local Folders account in suitably created folders before you delete them from the IMAP mail account. -

As somebody that likes to try and be as dependent on others as little as possible, and also someone who wants to understand how things work...I have a question.
When OSX updated to 10.10.3, my Apple Mail stopped working. Mac support had me start the computer in Safe Mode and open Mail. It opened fine in safe mode (I could no longer talk with the guy by this point, since we were using web chat). What surprised me was I didn't alter anything. I just opened the app, closed it, rebooted into normal mode, and now Mail works fine again.
What exactly happened by booting into Safe Mode? Why did that fix it when I changed nothing?Hard to say. If you look at Safe Mode and read about what it does, then you may have clues. Certain user-installed items don't run in safe mode and caches are replaced in safe mode. Today I came across this article: Fix Mail crashing after upgrading to Yosemite | MacIssues.
But the important thing is to see if Mail continues to work when you reboot normally since you cannot go on operating in safe mode forever. If Mail continues to work, then I would bet on a cache related issue. -
My ip adress was attacked by a bot virus,therefore my mac screen has been blurred as if the ink is poured on the surface,I want a solution to fix it?
First of all, this sound like a very unlikely set of symptoms for a virus of any kind. Lets try a test to see if you actually have a hardware issue.
Boot the MacBook Pro to it's recovery partition by holding down the command and R keys during startup. Is the screen issue still there? If that is the case, you have a problem with the MBP's hardware and need a repair.
Contact Apple using expresslane.apple.com if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page. Alternatively carry the MacBook Pro in to an Apple retail store or service provider to ask for an estimate. -
I've forgotten my pass-code to my Ipod touch 4g and when I try to restore and update it on my itunes library the internet connection cuts out so this is not an option. Is there another way to fix this problem? Cheers
The only way is to connect the iPod to a computer with has an internet connection and iTunes and restore the iPod. Use as friiend's computer or make an appointment at ther Geniuds Bar of an Apple store.

My issue doesn't relate whatsoever to the back button. I use jdev 10.1.3.3, ADF-BC. Here is the approach:
The user searches for a person based on some parameters. All of the views are read-only and are extended from the original ViewImpl (there is a :p_id_person and also

However, when I go the search page and search for another user (go through all of the steps like above), on some of the pages when I click the first time, the 35007 error appears with the information regarding the first row from the table where the previous user was bound. The second time I click on the page (the link to the page), the page renders without any errors. The solution was found in the token validation, but I am still puzzled why this happens. I bought my iPhone 5 C last week and is still all brand new. My phone was alright thses days but suddendly when i pressed the Home button to get out of an app, it didn't respond and also when i want to see the time I press the Home button but it doesn't show the lock screen. Do I need to go to an Apple Store or is there another way to fix this problem? I have read the Helping Center in the Apple Web but still it didn't help to solve my problem. Can someone please help me?
