Another Style Editor

Hi,
when I click in HS5.5 with the right mouse button on a
css-file, an menu item called "Edit StyleSheet" appears. The
command opens TopStyle. Is it possible to replace topstyle with
another editor?

Sorry if I'm 'not convincing' ;-)
fwiw, the open files script could easily be tweaked to work
for opening css files in an editor of choice.
And while a button is a simple work around, it's certainly a
valid way to open a file in any editor you want. Considering that
most editing environments don't offer such customizable buttons I
wouldn't put it down too much.
I'm sorry that you choose to look elsewhere, but I understand
your frustrations.
FWIW, for my own needs, I haven't given up hope on homesite
yet and for me it's still way better than anything else I've tried.
That'll vary by your needs of course.

Style editor bug

I changed the style of a DataTable by picking a colored 1-pixil solid line around "All".
Once this is done, the style editor will no longer open.

The preview option is on.
But in general, as my project is getting bigger, Creator keeps hanging up. This often occurs when I try to change pages or save a page.
No CPU is being used, but the creator window is totally unresponsive and I have to kill it in the task manager. This has happed 5 times today so far. I am getting paranoid about changes!
BTW, I have 2GB of memory, so that should not be a problem.

Style Editor Preview in EP 5.0 SP4

Hi All,
I change some items from the portal header in the style editor. For example, the "Branding Image" works fine in the preview from the style editor and in the Portal itself after saving the style.
Now, I change the "Padding of Portal Header Area" in the preview, it works fine, but after saving the style and restart the portal (restart from the WAS, too) it doesn't takes any effects in the portal.
Any Ideas?

Why can't I select another external editor?

iPhoto 11.
How do I select another external editor in iPhoto 9.2.1? I have Aperture, Pixelmator and PSE installed but only PSE comes up in the selection box under "Advanced".

I'm a little reluctant to dedicate my use to it because Apple appears to be dropping support for their pro-apps, Mac Pro's and so on.

I'm not sure what duplicates your referring to. If you mean when sending to an External editor, well stacking will hide that in Aperture. Faces can be turned off in Aperture (not in iPhoto) and keywords have always been stored in the database not the photos in every iteration of iPhoto. They can only be written to the file on export. Nothing different there.

Using CSS Style Editor in Sun Java Studio Creator

I could not open the Custom Style Editor Window for the components in my Java Studio Creator. Thats means I can not enjoy any facilities as described at:

I reset my computer then reinstalled Java Studio Creator in the hope of solving this problem but the problem is unsolved.
My Java Studio Creator is a paid version and I am using a WindiosXP computer with SP2.

I have been trying to update through the update center but I am getting the messame "Error: Unable to connect to the update center server" for the last couple of days.
I tried two/three times in the last one hour period and get the same message. (Now it is 10.30 am UK time 23rd May 2005)
I tried the choice of disabling the firewall before update effort and I am not using any proxy.
More advice regarding the update center and CSS style editor is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

I never spilled anything on it, as I'm pretty OCD about my MBA, but I think you're on the right track. I fixed it by pressing the command key on the right side of the board. Maybe some dust or other stuff underneath the other key preventing it from making contact. Thanks!

Pin style editor always open?

How do you make the style menu remain open, even while I'm
editing the topic? I see how to create a new toolbar and add the
style menu to the new toolbar, but it would be really nice if I
could make it stay open.
By the way, it's nice to open the style sheet in a dual
window and edit the styles this way rather than using the built-in
style editor provided by RH. This requires some knowledge of CSS,
but it's faster and eventually easier to update/tweak
styles.

Old style editor in new debugger?

I recently started working with an older system (older than I'm used to anyway) and I noticed that in the debugger the first two desktop tabs show the code in the old style (grey background and all black text) yet desktop 3 is in full color, as it should be. This system is ECC 6.0 7.01 level 6. Is there a setting I'm missing or does this release just not show the first two desktop tabs in color? I found a similar thread but I couldn't figure out the conclusion or if it truly matched my issue. I am using the latest version of the GUI front end.
New Debugger not running New abap editor

Thank you for all your answers. Apparently there is no way to look at Display List in the New Debugger. I find really annoying to have to switch back to the old debugger just to look at the Display List, specially if you have been tracking different fields. When you go back to the new debugger, you have to enter them all over again. I wonder what is reason why SAP did not include this help tool in the new debugger.

Can I edit my dreamweaver CS6 site in another html editor?

My client wants to be able to make minor updates to his website. I've built it in DW CS6. Can he update it KompoZer or some other free HTML editor? And will those changes also be made to his mobile site?

You may want to consider building the site(s) with a backend CMS (content management system) that the client can log-in to for editing. This requires no special software on his part. All he needs is an internet connection and a web browser so the site can be updated from virtually anywhere in the world. The other main advantage to providing him with a CMS is that the rest of the site cannot be messed up by the client since he will only have access to the pages you designate. Depending on your coding skills, requirements and budget, the following CMSs might be all you need.

Another HTML editor

I am trying to find a cheap alternative to DW as I use DW for my job however my content writer needs an editor as our newsletter wysiwyg is very unstable and cannot hold complex tables.
I suggested editing the newsletter in an editor and pasting the code over into the source code section in the wysiwyg.
I installed coffee cup but it does not allow you to edit content in design view.
So I need something cheap that someone with no html experience can edit in design view

Let me offer you a different solution:
Mail Chimp.
I have been using MailChimp for several of my clients (each with a different list and log on for a while now. They have a whole plethora of templates and all are very good HTML email and there is almost no need to write code. And it is free for an email list of up to 2000 messages.
They will accept an uploaded HTML file, but Dreamweaver makes that hard now, unless you have Dreamweaver MX. And it will manage your email list, too.
I realize this is not a Dreamweaver or HTML email software answer, but this does work.

You may be pressing a hot key that calls up the built in '''Inspector''' page.

Add another Additional Editor?

I'd like to use PTLens as an external editor in LR 2. ePaperpress's installation info says, "In Lightroom choose Edit > Preferences, select the External Editor tab, and choose PTLens.exe as an Additional External Editor."
I already have NoisewareSE set as my additional editor. Is LR 2 limited to only one addt'l editor?
Is there a workaround that will let me send things to PTLens from within LR?

You can define multiple external editors, and they are set up in the External Editor tab of LR Preferences, as stated. Briefly, click "Choose", specify the application, define the other fields on the form, then define and save a new preset for the editor. There are more details in Chap. 8 of the LR Help documentation.

If I have issued Netweaver Studio to both publish the service as well as to consume the web service, I think then the issue is on the client side wizard which creates the proxy classes for the web service client in the jar file. The wsdl specifies the xml namespace for the Arrays but the generated client code probably is not setting the name space correctly.

Yet another score editor.track freeze bug?

scenario:
string section 1st, 2nd, vla, celli, cbasses, all frozen.
i start editing by unfreezing the cbasses. cool.
then i unfreeze the celli to edit them. ok.
then i change back forth from the score to the arrange a coupla times.
then i go to edit the cbasses in the score and logics warns the track is frozen.
it isn't.
this happens a lot.

I've tried to reproduce this in CVI 2010 and CVI 2009 SP1, but haven't been able to so far. You're directions seem very straightforward, so I wonder if I'm just missing something? I've attached a flash video file of my attempt to reproduce the issue, could you take a look and let me know if there's something else I need to do?
I'm very sorry to hear that you have lost your work today. We intend CVI to give you the opportunity to save your files before it crashes, but we've found a bug that has been preventing this mechanism from working. That bug should be fixed in the next major version of CVI.
I'm just curious, do you have autosave enabled in CVI? CVI should make backups of any unsaved files periodically (configurable from Options»Environment»Auto backup interval), and prompt you to restore the backups in the event of a crash. Does this mechanism seem to be working for you?

Score Editor:Single-Staff Score Style With Optional Polyphony

I need to do something i read in the manual:
"Sometimes you need to add a second Voice to a staff that usually only requires one Voice, in order to properly notate a short, rhythmically-independent passage...
One solution is to use a Score Style with a “Main Voice” and a “Secondary Voice”..."
O.K how do i create a Score Style with a “Main Voice” and a “Secondary Voice”?

- open the score style editor
- duplicate the score style you are using. name it.
- in the 'new' file menu, select 'insert voice'
- a new voice will be inserted into the score style.
- make the necessary adjusments such as hide rests, stems down, or make sure that the midi channel is set in the last box to be 2 or any number different from the your global midi channel.
- in your score select the stave you want to change (hint: why not cut it into the length you need the second voice to run for?) and choose your new score style.
- enter the notes you want to enter to be on the second voice.
- select them and change their midi channels to the number you assigned for them in your score style editor. so in this case; 2.
