Another user on my computer had a previous trial. I signed up for a trial today but it won't run

I can't run my free trial download because another user had a different trial that's expired.  How do I fix this?

Without any details to explain the situation, the only thing I can offer is that once a trial has been used on a machine it can not be used again as a trial on that machine.  To fix it you would have get a new machine or wipe out the current one and make it appear new.

  • Error: "The phone is in use by another user of this computer"

    Hi,
Itunes hung and had to be "force quit". When I started it again, I got the following message.
"The phone <phone name> is in use by another user of this computer"
I rebuild he iTunes libaray, but the message won't go away. Any ideas? I'm guessing there is a lock file somewhere.
    thanks

Kandequan. It may be that something has become corrupted, but I also see a problem in that the iPhone is only supposed to sync with one computer. Trying to sync with a second one will not work.
There are a number of things you may need to do now, but first decide which computer is to be the one that you sync with: the master, if you will.
Whichever one you decide on, you need to make sure that all files point to that and there is a process written up by a user "wjosten".
You may also need to follow the Apple suggestions for making iTunes recognise your device.

  • Another user of your computer is currently using this connection. This user must disconnect before you can log on.

    Hello
I have a single computer that is going to be shared between 5 people. In an effort to save time. I wanted the users to have a single shared LOCAL login to the computer.
Then each user could pull up an RDS session through RDWEB on our 2012 r2 RDS farm.
However, when I attempt to log in more than one user through RDWEB I receive:
Another user of your computer is currently using this connection. This user must disconnect before you can log on.
I have done some research on this, and followed this advice, and did the following steps on all my RDS session host and broker servers
    Enable Multiple RDP Sessions
       -  Log into the server using Remote Desktop.
       - Open the start screen (press the Windows key) and type gpedit.msc and open it
       - Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections.
       - Set Restrict Remote Desktop Services user to a single Remote Desktop Services session to Disabled.
       - Double click Limit number of connections and set the RD Maximum Connections allowed to 999999.
However, it did not solve the problem. Anyone have suggestions?

    Hi Michael,
In addition you can try below registry setting for multiple remote session.
    HKEY_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
    fSingleSessionPerUser     REG_DWORD     0x00000000
Note: By default the registry value is set to 1, but you need to change to 0.
Also if you are making connection through gateway then recheck whether the setting is enabled on gateway side for multiple session.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • How Do You Transfer an iTunes Library to Another User on your Computer??

I am trying to transfer my iTunes library to another user on my computer so that I won't have to download all over again the dozens of CDs that I have already downloaded onto my computer. It is for someone else in my family who just got their own iPod. I have WindowsXP. Does anyone know how to do this?

Here follow these: They should help.

  • ITunes message 'the phone " " is in use by another user on this computer'

I am receiving the following message when I try to sync my iPhone with iTunes:
'the phone "phone name " is in use by another user on this computer'
I believe that this happened as a result of the following:
I forced a restore of this phone. When the phone was restarting itself I closed and reopened iTunes on my iMac. When I reopened iTunes I rec'd a message that the iTunes Library file was locked. Per discussion advice I solved this locked file problem by overwriting with a slightly older iTunes Library file from Time Machine. This solved the locked file problem, but now I can't sync my phone to my iMac any attempt to do so results in the message noted above .
The phone will sync (restore) with iTunes on another computer.
I have tried the following to correct the problem, but no success at syncing my iPhone to my iMac:
    1. Forced another restore of the phone to factory settings (on another computer, Mac Air)
    2. Restarted iTunes
    3. Restarted the iMac.
    3. Opened iTunes with a newly created Library
Any suggestions as to how I might convince my computer that my iPhone is not in use by another user much appreciated.

  • Sharing iPhoto with another user on my computer?

I have iPhoto 9.5.1, and I'd like to know how I can share events, albums or just photos with another user on my computer.

The most successful is to have the library on an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) with ownership ignored

  • Fast user switching and "ipod is in use by another user on this computer"

Is there any way to suppress the "ipod is in use by another user on this computer" message that appears when you use fast user switching.
my wife and I share a mac pro and when flipping between sessions, this message gets to be a bit annoying. i.e. if her itouch is plugged in and she is managing it through her library, if I fast user switch to my session, I get the warning dialog (ok to clear) I mention above. This is kind of annoying now, since I understand I won't be able to manage that ipod from my itunes session.
is there anyway to suppress this behavior?

    Hi again,
Glad to hear you got all your music files back into your library.
I've seen this iPod error before, but I don't know why it occurs. In my experience, restarting the computer solves the problem.
    Cheers,
    Sara.

I previously had PS CS5 Trial installed but removed it using both Control Panel Programs and deleting all files from the CS5 directory on Program Files.  I then installed a purchased product from Adobe disc using the serial number on the case.  But when I try to launch it, I get a screen headed Photoshop CS5 Extended Trial.  It asks for the serial number and says that my trial has expired.  It rejects the serial number from the Adobe case saying "This Serial Number is not valid for this product".  It thinks that I still have the expired Trial Version installed.  How do I convince it (the program) that the Trial Version is long gone and the currently installed product was installed with a valid and accepted serial number????

Let me know how it goes. Go into your Adobe account and register your serial number asap.

  • What does it mean when you have a window saying there is another user and your computer has been renamed

When i opened my computer this morning, a window was there saying that there was a second user using my computer and had changed the name ... what does the mean?

ok, thanks Grant Bennet-Alder ..  so this could have been my phone or my ipad I assume.
even though i have not seen this before, and had had all three for a couple of years now . but, maybe if I understand this right, my iphone could have been using wifi instead of cellular?
    Is this what you mean?
    again, thank you so much.
