Can another calendars events be integrated into a published web calendar?

Apologies in advance for my general ignorance about iCal. I am just starting to venture into the program.
I am the web coordinator for a nonprofit group, and am intending to use iCal to publish a web calendar for our site. I have subscribed to the US Holidays calendar, and am wondering if there is any way to get the holidays to show up in my group's published calendar (i.e. I want holidays on the web calendar, but don't want to have to plug them in myself). It is obvious how to integrate the calendars within the application -- just not sure if there's a way to make events from other calendars integrate into the published web calendar.
Sorry about the redundancy -- just want to be clear.
Also, is there anyway to embed these calendars into a web page.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Just create a new Calendar Group, name it "Publish" for example, and drag the U.S. Holidays into that group.
The following information is taken from iCal Help.
1. Choose File > New Calendar Group, or hold down the Shift key while clicking the Add + button in the lower-left corner of the iCal window, and then type a name for the group.
2. Add existing calendars to the group by dragging them under the group name, or select the group name and choose File > New Calendar to create a new calendar within the group.
3. Remove calendars from the group by dragging them out of the list.
You should be able to embed a link to the calendar in a web page, but I do not know how to provide a direct display of that calendar.

1) Bi Publisher is a pixel perfect reports ll generate
2) Its completely based on XML data ,based on XML data we can create RTF template from where u can get output as PDF/HTML/EXCEL....

Interactive script editor: read values of answers into non-branching action

Dear all,
When we develop a new interactive script, I would like to read the value of the answers into a non-branching action.
For examle:
Are you ill? yes/no
If no --> are you staying on another addres then [customer_adres]? yes/no
if no --> please maintain the adress
a) ZSTREET
b) ZHOUSENUM
Now at the end, I want to trigger a non-branching action which reads the values of ZSTREET and ZHOUSENUM. Could someone give me a hint?

Field Names for Answers reports in Publisher.

I have found that the field names(xml element names) that publisher creates for datasets created from BI Answers reports are taken from the formula section of the field.
This creates two big problems.
1. The field names can be huge if you have a complicated formula in the field for BI answers. Good luck using that as anything but dropping on a page.
2. If the formula in the BI Answer report is changed in anyway the link between the field in the template and publisher is broken as publisher renames the data field name (xml Element).
Is there another layer of abstraction I can use to counter this? Some type of datafield mapping? Maybe something I can do in BI Answers?
Assume not all of my Datafields can be fixed by moving the formula to the RPD layer for calculation.
This is sort along the lines of previous thread. The method:
REPORT NAME -> Data Model -> Groups -> GROUP NAME -> Right Click on the field name -> Property Palette -> XML Tag
Does not seem to work in my version of Publisher. Or I need more help with it. I have not Groups Option.
Anyway to change the XML element name

The closest you can get to this is importing a query from the Answers catalog into Publisher, but there huge limitations to what you can then do with it. The chances are it will not actually meet your requirements and you will end up building the query from scratch in Publisher.
Publisher isn't always as easy to use as it might seem, I would urge you to look at the examples on OTN and follow the tutorials to get a better idea of what is possible, there is too much to explain through the forum.

Quiz Questions provide no selectable answers in HTML5 Publish

I am having issues with quizzing, whereas HTML5 format doesn't allow the user to select answers in quiz slides…
I am publishing a Captivate 7 project to two separate LMS' for beta testing purposes.
When I publish the project as HTML5 only, the quiz question appears as well as possible answers, but the form field does not appear, therefore rendering the user completely incapable of selecting an answer.
Publishing the same project as swf and HTML5 renders perfect results. (Quiz slide, selectable answers, and form field all show up and work)
Any advice?

I solved my own problem.
I had inserted a background image into each of the question master slides.
When looking at either the master slide or timeline slide, the slide would lokk good. All text and slide objects, including answers, would show up on the slide as they should.
However, once published, the background image would cover the form fields used to select correct answers. This not only prevented the user from selecting an answer, but also caused major issues with audio and CC tracks after the quiz.

Importing Existing Documents into Digital Publishing With InDesign

Hi - I have several hundred pages in the inDesign format that I would like to use to build a digital magazine using Adobe's new Digital Publishing Suite.
How can I import 8.5x11 pages into a 1024x768 page? I have hundreds of pages and need them in the smaller iPad screen format. Its easy when you start from scratch....you just create a 1024x768 document. But how do you start using the Digital Publishing platform when you have existing work?

Try using Layout Adjustment. I think you're better off asking in the General forum unless there is a clear scripting aspect to your question. If there is, please try to make it more clear.

Prompting the Answers from BI Publisher Report

Hi Gurus,
Our Customer needs a report in particular format. So i had used the Bi publisher to create and I have uploaded template and all works fine. Now he wants to get the details of particular column. So i what I had done was that in template builder for that Particular column I added an hyperlink. The link for the answers open up, which is obvious and we get the entire data. But when the User Clicks on particular CBN Number in Pub report it fetch him the details of that CBN Number only.

Any suggestions, I was able to open up the Answers which I hyperlinked in BI Publisher report. But we are trying to go to specific CBN Number which we click on the Bi Publisher report.

Inserting Image Into XML Publisher Report

I have a problem to insert an JPG Image(Dynamique Logo depending on setid ) into My XMLPublisher report.
My Image is stored in database. My query return the field image
I Use this syntaxe:

where IMAGE is the image field name of my query.
But this does'nt work ; any Help please ?

Need to extract PDF form answers into an XML file

Hi Adobe gurus,we have a requirement like this. We have a Time Tracking and Project Monitoring System whose DB is a Oracle 10g R2. We want to automate our ''Meeting Minute'' processing.
1. The project lead will write minutes into a form PDF. i.e. a PDF where people can type in information into fields and also tick check-boxes etc.
2. The PDF will be e-mailed to the project manager.
3. Project manager will save the PDF in a HDD directory.
4. Then he will run a program.
5. Program will pickup all the PDFs in that directory one-by-one.
6. For each PDF, the program should read the fields and get the values for the form fields and create an .XML file for it.
7. Now, another program will read the XML files, extract the information and store those in a DB against each project lead.
I went through the thread PDF to XML conversion, but unfortunately it has no complete solution. This problem is present for lots of people and I would be really grateful if Adobe experts can give a complete solution. In order to make it easy to answer, I have made a small questionnaire below:
(A.) When creating a PDF form. i.e. a PDF where you can type information to questions and tick checkboxes etc., can you create the PDF with structure. i.e. for example, the field into which a user types project name should be identifiable (as a tag or something like like PROJECT_NAME), when we create an XML out of it later? Is this called creating a tagged PDF?
(B.) Does this mean that we cannot convert an untagged PDF to XML?
(C.) In order to convert a PDF to XML do we need a XSD or DTD? I ask this because, I some converters from the web, like this one, asks for the XSD. And this tool which converts a PDF to XML, asks for a rules set before converting the PDF. So is this necessary?? i.e. Do we have to have our own XSD and rules set, or does the PDF->XML utility convert to XML based on predefined ADOBE PDF tags??
(D.) Do we HAVE TO use the Adobe LiveCycle ES DLLS to do this??? I ask this becuase most of the free PDF-2-XML convertes give wrong results and has no guarantee.
(E). Can you please elaborate the process of converting PDFs to XML. Please note that we are doing this using a program (i.e. we process a batch of PDFs).
(F.) If we use ADOBE DLLS then do we have to purchase the Adobe LiveCycle ES product??
(G.) If we purchase Adobe LC ES then can we use the DLLs in Java, .Net??? Or is it possible to call the Adobe DLLs only using C or C++ (I read about this on the .Net)?
(H.) Is Adobe LiveCycle ES a separate product from the Adobe SDK and Adobe PDF writer??
Your advice would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks, however, I just want the user to be able to hit the Submit by E-mail button, and e-mail the form to the Manager. I believe, that this is what this button should be able to do, except that it converts the file to .XML format.

Use answers analysis in Publisher

Hi Gurús!
We are facing the issue to use several queries in the same report. We know that this is imposible in Answers, so we go to use Publisher.
Our issue is that we want to use in Publisher some analysis made in Answers. So, when we try to set an Answers analysis as data model in Publisher template, we only get the columns that this analysis returns, we don't get the entire analysis (like graphs, tables, titles, etc).
Can I explain my issue? There is any way to "consume" an entire Answers analysis (with graphs, tables, titles, etc) in Publisher?

as far as i know u can only get column of that analysis or you can use physical sql generated for that analysis and create same style of graph and chart with online builder or rtf template.

Put IP's that answer into a list?

Hello i posted a post before and now i have come a little bit further in my project. I now have a program that you write a ip in and the program shows what instrument it is if the ip is connected and answer. What i have to do is to read a list of ip addresses and for those ip's that are connected i put them in a list and for those that are not connected i will ignore.
Form the list of the connected instruments i just made i then want to be able to choose one of the ip's that i want to check what instrument it is. I now wonder how i can search trough a list of ip's and then put them in to a list so i can click on them to choose them?

When you say IPs do you mean IP addresses? If so, they are simple strings so you would store you list in an array of strings.
To allow people to select one, you can put this array of strings into a single column listbox and use an event structure to tell when the user double-clicks of one of the items.
Or selects an item and clicks an OK button.
Or either.
