Answer this question regarding Bluetooth headsets

After spending what seems like weeks researching a BT headset for my 3GS, it occurred to me... why?
Let's say I was going to choose between the Klipsch Image S4i Premium Noise-Isolating Headset with 3-Button Apple Control (not BT) and the Sennheiser MM 200 Bluetooth Wireless Headset (BT). Both are about the same price.
Q1: Sound Quality (Voice and Music)? I'd think BT has an uphill battle over a copper wire.
Q2: Battery Life? Obviously the S4i wins this.
So, am I really going to be unhappy that the wire goes to the phone in my pocket? I am not being sarcastic here. Does it really matter?

I grok the mono in-ear headsets and how for some they are useful. I grok the Motoroker headsets that are completely on your head without wires and how for some they are useful. But the MM 200 has lots of wires, just not one to the iPhone itself. I was asking who felt the cost, hassle of charging a battery, and planned obsolescence since the battery was not replaceable, was worth it.
P.S. I found your sarcastic post neither funny nor useful. Not appreciated.

  • Can anyone answer this question regarding MAX RAM?

My old iMac SE DV graphite was purchased and delivered in January, 2000. The original order catalog (which I kept) claimed that it was "expandable to 512mb", as were all the 400mhz G3 slot-loading DV models in various 'flavors' including my Graphite Special Edition model. Also, both / all versions had the ATIRage 128 accelerator with 8mb SDRAM.
The only differences I can discern are that my Graphite has more ram (128mb) and had a slightly bigger hard drive (13GB on the graphite vs 10GB for the 'fruit').
Note: I have since replaced the hard drive with a 20GB since the original died within the first 2 years.
Also, I am running in 10.3.9 most of the time but still have OS 9.2.2 in the machine.
On this disussion site and other places (including MacWorld articles) I've seen conflicting statements as regards the MAXIMUM RAM my graphite should/could have. Some say 1GB (2x512) and some say 512 (2x256).
Can anyone once and for all, settle this question for me so that I can make an intelligent purchase?
(and thank you for the info re: PC100 as the way to go, not PC133)
    Thanks & Peace to all.

This question was answered in your other post by me. Max RAM is 1 GB.

  • "You did not answer this question completely" warning

    Hi All,
Sorry for bombarding the forum of late.
I have another issue coming up on this current piece. I have
a set of questions that are able to be answered in a random order
through a grid type layout. A little like jeopardy. The problem
hapens like this: when the learner clicks on the initial Q they
jump to the appropriate slide and answer the question no problem,
and once answered, they jump back to the question grid. This works
fine, unfortunately, when they click the next question they jump ok
but the question displays an error "you did not answer this
question correctly" and they can't click the choices. I believe i
checked and unchecked all the appropriate places, but I am not
    sure.
    Any advice would be great.
    Regards,
    Ryan

Have you configured your Quiz Settings to allow backward
movement? That's required when the user is not moving forward
    linearly.
You should also play with the options in the Required
dropdown in the Quiz Settings until things work as desired. That
seems to control whether Captivate lets you jump over questions or
not, as your random access scheme would require.
I imagine it needs to be set to "Optional - the user can skip
this quiz" but there may be another setting that also works for
    your needs.
    Cheers,
    John

" then why have the £2.99 apps not changed prices? "
The app developers and Apple can choose to price their product however they like.  Reasons could be market conditions, costs ( legal, taxes, structure, licensing, etc), simple profit strategy, market positioning, etc.  They could just decide that they need more profit.  All businesses have this freedom and exercise it.
"Looks to me as if I'm getting ripped off. "
Not any more that with any other product or service you buy.  Everyone prices their product/service as they see fit.  the consumer can then deice to purchase or not.
"Can you guys at Apple please answer this question? "
No.  Apple will not respond to you here at all.  This is a user forum.
They certainly will not explain their pricing strategy to your in any case, just as most any other company does not.

  • Can someone please answer this question!!  re:  bootcamp 3.0 from dvd

does anyone know if bootcamp 3.0 drivers are the same on all OEM DVD's?
the reason i'm asking is because i had to do a bootcamp install for a friend on her macbook late 2009 and she didn't give me her dvd, so i pulled bootcamp 3.0 off of my macbook pro (mid 2009) install dvd. i've done the 3.1 64 bit update as well, and manually installed some drivers to get the sound and network adapter working.
i know supposedly the dvd's are machine specific, and i know that with windows 7 x64 there are lots of outdated drivers, and i know the two machines have some hardware differences...
but it also looks like bootcamp 3.0 has bundled all kinds of extra drivers just in case, so it's hard to tell if each dvd has it's own bootcamp 3.0 that's machine-specific.
reason i'm asking is that after all the hacks and workarounds, i've got windows 7 x64 basically running ok on this macbook unibody white, but it doesn't seem to work as perfectly as a similar install i did on a macbook pro 15". for example, the trackpad...i don't have functionality for expose for example like i do on the mbp 15. and no headphone audio.
so i'm wondering if i'm missing some machine specific drivers from my friend's dvd that are not on my MBP dvd..., even though both show "bootcamp 3.0"
    thanks.

yes, but my point is if they updated Bootcamp on a newer DVD, would it still be called Bootcamp 3.0??
i'm using my mid 2009 MBP dvd to install Bootcamp 3.0 on a late 2009 white macbook because my friend never gave me her dvd and she lives half way across the city (13 million people).
i'm not into hacking things, but i haven't seen a single post in this forum where anyone successfully installed Bootcamp with Windows 7 x64 on any machine without having to screw around with drivers to get sound or network adapter working.
i've posted several questions regarding various things without getting much of an answer.
i've done many bootcamp installs that seem to function perfectly, but for some reason this one is giving me problems (windows 7 x64 on a white macbook).
i'm asking general questions now because i suspect maybe the initial windows bootcamp 3.0 install (with subsequent 3.1 update) isn't giving me all the drivers i need.
i can't confirm this 100%, but i'm still without headphone sound and some other things seem to me a little off. NOBODY that i know of has gotten the correct sound driver from the dvd to work with windows 7, everyone seems to have to install something newer...and from what i've read, the 3.1 update doesn't solve everyone's problems.
that's why i'm wondering about the specifics of the dvd. if her OEM dvd and her version of bootcamp 3.0 is what's needed from the start, i won't proceed any further and do a complete mac os x and bootcamp clean install from scratch as soon as i get her dvd, but i'm not sure if it will make a difference or not.
    thanks.

  • IPhone 5 question about Bluetooth headsets and headphone jack audio out.

I have an iPhone 5. When I'm connected to a bluetooth headset, can I still use the headphone jack to play audio through my stereo between calls without having to disconnect the headphone jack for calls or shut off the headset for tunes?

when one connects a wires headset it it mutes the internal speaker
when one connects a bluetooth headset it mutes the internal speaker and any wired connected headsets

I am in Australia. Do I use the British or US firefox download.
I am having extreme difficulty getting a simple answer to this question.
I just keep getting sent back and forth to different firefox sites for more details, or ask community, go to an answer site etc etc.

Maybe best to install the British version and install the Australian dictionary.

  • Can anyone answer my question regarding compile time ?

can anyone answer my question? What happens exactly during compile time when the program is compiled in java ? My answer is for this question is the compiler places all the references to the variables we used in a stack and also places the references to the objects used in the program in a stack. Is my answer correct and complete ? Does the compiler do anything more ? if so please mention me . THANKS A LOT for all the ones replying for this question . THANK YOU

Compilation is a process which turns a program (or part of a program) written in one language into the same program in another language. This can take place both at compile-time and run-time, but always before execution (when the program code is actually run)
A stack is a data structure used during program execution to handle variables with a lifespan limited to that of a method call.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INSERT AND ALTER

ALTER is a DDL (Data Definition Language) statement. Whereas INSERT is a DML (Data Manipulation Language) statement. One is used to update the structure of the table (add/remove field/index etc). Whereas INSERT is used to insert data in table.

Yes, it can.  Use File > Properties, and click the Security tab. Click Change, and set what you need. When the file is saved, the security is set.
BE SURE TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL FILE TOO.
