This was a silly problem.
The passwd command needs 2 parameters - the local and remote domains.
In this case....
passwd TDOM1 TDOM2

Congradulations, but you really should have added this to the original post. The new system takes practice that's all. If your having trouble with something always feel free to ask. I post questions all the time when I get stuck.

I posted the following:
Need to get a consensus on set up of my new AEBS.
I currently have an Extreme with three Expresses throughout the house to extend the signal and drive powered speakers from iTunes. I used ProCare at the local Apple Store and asked a question but when I got "I think it will work that way" decided to use the principle of "risky shift" by getting a copy of opinions before I made my decision.
He said, if I turn my current base station off, it will take my network out of the system and the airport expresses will not have a base to access.
If I then plug my new AEBS in power up and build a new network with the same name as the old network, I shouldn't have to do anything with the expresses since they will be looking for the same named network they were connected to before.
I have four Macs a G-5 Tower (g), a MacBook Pro Core Duo (g), a G-4 iBook (g) and an old G4 Power PC 2 Ghz Dual Processor (a or b).
I believe I have to run the n enabler on my MacBook Pro Core Duo even though it is not n capable. But do I have to run it on my other machines. I will probably connect my main computer (G-5 Tower) via a LAN port. I've ordered an Apple TV and that way the signals will get transmitted to the Apple TV via n.
Does this sound right?????????
Just hooked up my new Extreme. Had to create a new network, factory reset my expresses and then joined them to the new network system. They seem to be working great. Even tested my remote powered speakers - they work okay.
All my computers work great.
After establishing the new base station, I turned my G-5 airport card off and connected via an ethernet cable. It works also.
Only problem is the amber light on my extreme keeps flashing even though everything works as advertised.
When I run the utility it says that my extreme base station needs attention and that it does not have security. I purpusefully did not turn security on because of the problems that I've read on this forum about connecting to the expresses.
Any thoughts about the amber blinking light.

Well curiosity got the better of me. I turned on security, amber light came on flashing then turned to green - expresses disconnected from the system. However, the green would change to flashing amber about every 5 - 10 seconds, then back to green - then back to flashing.
Turned security off - amber light flashes - expresses connect back up. Every thing works fine. Speed is good. So the only mystery is the flashing amber light.

I am having trouble answering my old security questions for my itunes account and it is creating a problem because I am not able to purchase apps/songs on my new IPAD. What phone number/email adress should I call to get a quick response to my issue?

I have recently bought an IPAD 2 for my girlfriend and have encountered a problem with purchasing apps through my itunes account. It is requesting that I not only enter my pasword (which I know) but answer my old account questions, which I have forgotten the answers to. It had since locked me out of changing my questions for eight hours. Is there any number I can call to prove that I am the real owner of my itunes account so my girlfriend will be able to use her ipad to purchase new apps without having to go through the trouble of using one of my other apple devices? Random information: I believe my questions were set back in 2007 when I purchased my first ipod nano, since then I have used this same itunes account for my own ipod touch and ipad 2 and my girlfriends iphone 1st generation. Looking for software that allows you to make "who wants to be a millionaire". Must be able to put in your own questions and HAS to be for the Mac. Help!

I am a teacher who would love to create the game "who wants to be a millionaire" with my own questions. I would use this for test reviews. I can't not find something for the mac. It is out there for the PC, but my class room is mac based. I can't use anything that will allow me to run the mac in windows, either. Whatever the reasons are that you think the problem exists, you will not be able to resolve it on your own. Did you see this at the bottom of the support article that I suggested that you read?

I forgot the answers to my security questions. How can I reset these?

After owning an iPad 2 for about 7 months, I purchased an iPad 3rd gen. I tried to purchase an app (PDF Highlighter) and upon doing so I was promoter to answer two security questions "since this is my first purchase on this device." I do not remember the answers to my security questions. How can I reset the answers?
In addition to this issue, I went into my setting and entered my debit card information in another attempt to purchase the app. Upon doing so I was prompted to verify my payment info. The prompt asked me to enter my security code. I entered the correct code and it comes up invalid. I have tried going into setting and verifying my payment info through there as well, it also says my security code is invalid. How can I fix this issue? The app I am attempting to download is called PDF Highlighter for $6.99. Thank you for your help.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com. Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE: This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address. Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466, and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

Yesterday I try to close all my open messages (among of 1360+ posts). Well, SDN search is very inflexible for this task (searching for own questions):
1. When I enter my exact login ID it is always replaced with my name, and actually there is 2 Valery Silaev's on SDN -- the other ID was used also by me when I was in business trip.
2. The search criterea is very inconvinient. Heck, the rule for all my questions is trivial: <b>Subject line does not start with "RE:"</b>. So far I found no way to express this via SDN search ;(

i don't remember the answers for the security questions. It keeps asking for my favorite teacher, my firsr car and my least favorite job but I dont know what the answeres were for them. I havent even owned a car or had a job yet. Im very confused!

    1.    Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
    2.    If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
    3.    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.
