Answering a call

It turns me something that already happened before the 7.1 and I thought it got resolved, which is when I receive a call me button does not appear with an option to reply with sms immediately, with those pre-defined messages. Appears only to serve and to reminisce.
This is when the ecrão locked and call me.
When the screen is unlocked by then it appears that option ......
This button appears only rarely.
already in 7.0.6 and 7.0.34 was the same.
I have TMN iPhone 4.
In my wife's the same .......
It happens to anyone else?
Noted that the upgrade to 7.1 was made by itunes, ie full installation.

Anyone, please????
Apple, help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is there a way to answer Voip calls such as Bria while the phone is in locked mode?

We are using Voip Apps such as Bria and Avaya OneX portal with Voip client enabled for SIP extensions back to Avaya IP Office, the issue is that Apple will not allow the answer splash screen to pop up while the phone is in locked mode..
On a smartphone you can lock the screen (for security reasons) and to unlock you need to enter a pin or password to get access to the phone.  On a native cellular call the ability to answer the call is provided on the lock screen so that the user does NOT have to unlock the phone to answer the call.  What this customer/partner is complaining about is with our VoIP portion of the application when an incoming call comes in and your phone is locked you cannot answer the call until you unlock the phone.    The issue is that Apple does NOT let application developers bypass the phones locked screen.  Call it security or whatever you want this is something that don’t make available.  Like I mentioned other VoIP applications like Counterpath suffer from the same Operating System limitation.
    So a couple things:
    1.       This is not a Bug it’s an operating system limitation.
    2.       If this is that key for a user the only options are to turn off the lock screen or switch to Android (which does allow this).
Totally agree with the customers complaint there just isn’t much we can do. We can try to complain to Apple again however that is not going to yield anything.
Is there any way to get around this?
    Thanks,
    Kelvin

I'm going to give up on Apple if they don't change this soon. It worked before, answered like a regular phone call (slide to answer). But since IOS7 i really dont like my Iphone anymore. Looking around for alternatives.

    Hello apple
I have the problem with my iPhone and my friends have this problem too.
My iPhone have the problem about calling and answer the call. When I use my iPhone to call I can't hear anything from my iPhone but the person that I call can answer it but when answer both of us can't hear anything and when I put my iPhone to my face the screen is still on and when I quit the phone application and open it again it will automatic call my recent call. And when my friends call me my iPhone didn't show anything even the missed call I'm only know that I missed the call from messages from carrier. Please check these problem I restored my iPhone for 4 time now in this week. I lived in Hatyai, Songkhla,Thailand and many people in my city have this problem.
    Who have this problem??

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$

  • Upgrade to IOS 6.1 - all incoming calls come in as a call waiting call when there is no other call going on, and it won't let me actually answer the call.

I upgraded my AT&T iPhone 4 from IOS 6.0.1 to IOS 6.1 on Monday evening. It completed successfully overnight and everything looked good on Tuesday morning until I received my first call. When the phone rang, the screen showed the typical 'call waiting' screen, asking me if I wanted to 'End Call and Answer', 'Ignore Call', or 'Hold Call and Answer'. Using any of the selections still does not allow the call to be answered. It takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
If I make an outgoing call, the phone hangs on the 'End Call' portion. It shows the button being pressed and that it is ending the call, but it doesn't ever end. It also takes a hard reboot to clear the call.
So, I have tried hard reboots of the phone, without any success. Last night, I tried to reset the phone to factory settings and restored my phone content from iTunes. Unfortunately, I still was having the issue. I have also tried restoring the Network Settings, and that did not work as well.
Has anyone seen any similar behavior and have any advice?
    Thanks

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*
I hope you're right, but I don't think there is a simpler way.
BACKUP:  It also appears that the only way I can back up the catalog is to shut down LR.  Really?!

Yeah, I know I can restore it, but I might as well go ahead and try. I just finished a backup for icloud and itunes to make sure, I'll go ahead and restore it and set it up as new and see how that works. Seems like I have no other options at this point, I'd still like to know what they did with the Download tab in itunes store, if they removed it or if I'm just overlooking it.

  • Feature request: Ability to set the Home button to answer incoming calls

Rather than have to manipulate the slider to answer a call, it would be easier (and safer in many cases) to be able to click the Home button to answer a call. That could be implemented as an option on Settings/General/Home. Has this been requested?

it is hard for us to know, since we are end users just like you. We do not work for Apple, and Apple does not monitor these threads to answer individuals.
You may provide feedback to Apple for any enhancements you would like to see implemented at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Issue in answering a call in Lumia 620

When i recieve a call the answer button is dissabled most of the time preventing me from answering the call. I have to switch off and on quickly to get the button enabled. This happens with about 50% of the calls i revcieve. Has any one face the same issue? Is there an update available for this issue?

I have bought Nokia 520 - 6 months ago-  have had several repairs and am now facing the same problem with answerring calls. estimate that 30 % of all calls are having this dissabled buttom.

  • I am not able to answer a call without having a headset

I am not able to answer a call on my iPhone 4S without having a headset.  Bluetooth is turned off.

Try inserting and removing the headphone plug several times. Also, have you removed the protective film that the phone ships with? It covers the earpiece hole. And if you switch to speakerphone does it work?
It may be obvious, but have you tried raising the volume with the volume buttons on the left side of the phone while on a call? If you are not on a call the buttons only charge ringer volume.

  • Speaker phone automatically turned on whenever I answer a call?

    Dear community,
Whenever I answer a call, its speaker phone is automatically turned on. How can I turn this feature off? It seems to be a software issue, because when the I got my iPhone 4S brand new, it didn't have the problem. After restoring from my iPhone 4S, the problem I already had recurred on the iPhone 4S as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I can't put call on hold to answer incomming call, always hangs up on first call

The procedure is different, depending on whether your carrier uses CDMA or GSM. Consult the manual. gdgmacguy gives directions on how to find it in the post above.
    Best of luck.

  • 6120c delay when answering a call with bluetooth h...

    Hi,
I have a Nokia 6120 classic and a Jabra BT2010 headset. When using the headset, every time I answer a call I have a 3 second delay until I can hear anything.
During these 3 seconds I hear 3 beeps: one the moment I answer the phone, a second one a couple of seconds after that, and a third one just before I can start to speak.
Does someone have the same problem? Is this a firmware problem and will be fixed with a new firmware? I have firmware 3.83.

that is a bit strange, i have used Nokia BT headset BH-900, BH-201 and BH-600 on the 6120 and there is no delay...
it could be related to your headset... if there is a way to factory re-set that jabra? i had a jabra before, and it can be done if i remeber correctly, when you keep pressing volume up + power on for 10sec and watch the LED change color...

  • IPhone 4 / iOS 6 drops  bluetooth connection when I answer a call using handsfree link in car.

Honda Crosstour 2010. Handsfreelink and phone pair ok but when I go to answer a call via the talk button on the steering wheel, the connection drops and I have to use my phone to talk, rendering auto bluetooth useless. I have to manually reconnect the two to get car and phone bluetooth working again. Honda and Verizon both point to Apple as the problem...

  • Prefer Bluetooth when paired and answering a call?

I have a Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset (http://www.plantronics.com/northamerica/enUS/products/cat1150057/cat5420035/prod5360004). When the phone rings with the headset already paired, sliding to answer the phone picks up using the built-in earpiece/microphone instead of the headset. Every time I have to go to audio sources and toggle the headset instead, meaning there's always a few seconds of silence in the call in the beginning as I switch sources.
Is it possible to have a Bluetooth headset set as the default source whenever one is paired?
      Windows XP

    Hey filburt1,
Have you tried answering the call by pressing the answer button on the bluetooth headset, like you would for the Apple headset?

  • Secondary camera launches while answering a call

I have on occasion tried to answer a call and instead I am looking at a live image of myself in the seconday camera. Is it launching a video call without me wanting to (video calls not even supported in my area).

Magnets interfere with sensors on the phone.  The lens cover on some models (like the N97) is triggered by a magnet.
When another strong magnet is brought into contact with the phone it thinks that the lens cover is being opened.  When the cover is opened it launches the camera application. Because the lens is really closed the secondary camera activates instead.
So the phone is behaving normally until your magnetic clasp is brought into contact with it.
Your only option is to stop using that case, modify the case by removing the magnets (replace with velcro) or buy a new case that does not contain magnets.  Many non-official cases make the mistake of using magnets that are just too strong.  The cheaper chinese made cases are the worst offenders for using over strong magnets.  This can also lead to damage of your phone if exposure continues, such as memory corruption or screen failure. Battery life may also be affected.
This advice applies to many phones from many manufacturers. Whether you choose to follow this advice is entirely your choice.
