Answers report-download as Excel loose trailing zeroes

Hi!
When I download Answers report to Excle (Word) I loose trailing zeroes.
1.2500 -> 1.25Trailing zeroes are important and I'd like that format remain as it is in OBI in all downloading types (Excel, Word etc).
When I export to PDF (run through Oracle BI publisher) trailing zeroes are correct.
Any help please.
My config, OBI on Windows 2003 32 bit:
Product Information
Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version     10.1.3.4 (Build 080726.1900)
Physical Presentation Catalog Path     \\?\C:\OracleBIData\web\catalog\teb\root
Oracle BI Server Data Source     AnalyticsWeb
Available Paging Memory (MB)     5176
Available Virtual Address Space (MB)     1833

Hi,
here are mine data as requested ...
The only three formating columns are Cash up KN, Cash up EUR i Cash up EUR/KN.
Column that has problem has no "mso" like formating at all, only two decimal number format, defined in classic way in OBI.
Generated Excel file from OBI:http://sites.google.com/site/vadasovi/icon_holders-1/BAZA.xls
How it is opened in Excel 2003:http://sites.google.com/site/vadasovi/_/rsrc/1318338523563/Home/temp/2007.PNG , look column in red.
Same file in Excel 2010 (other mashine then 2003:http://sites.google.com/site/vadasovi/_/rsrc/1318338543353/Home/temp/2010.png
Both client are Win XP SP3 with Croatian locale (same one in detail).

  • Export to excel truncates trailing zeros

    When we try to export to excel trailing zeros are truncated like this:
    In report on BIEE dashboar:
    Product----Amount
    Product A 327,876
    Product B 4,000
    Product C 1,278
    In the exported excel spreadsheet:
    Product A 327,876
    Product B 4
    Product C 1,278
    Any ideas for a solution?

    well it is because excel thinks the the comma is a decimal seperator in stead of a thousands seperator.
    So check your operating system properties and your excel properties.

  • Doubt on ALV report download to EXCEL

    Hi All,
    i have written a report with ALV_GRID FM, by default we get the option to download the output to excel. But when we click on the download to excel, it displays the output
    in the frist page, but it also opens so many pages like
    format, header, pivot,sub1,sub1....etc.
    Pls. check the SAP standard report BCALV_TEST_FULLSCREEN, does the same thing when we do download to excel.
    How can i avoid opening so many pages in excel?
    Thanks for the help.
    Sekar

    Hi ,
    prabhu here , i think check the FM wheather u r passing all these to FM. for Excel keep export.param: --> i_save only and check.

  • Grid Download to Excel truncates leading zeros

    We are on tools 8.51. The download feature for a Grid now removes the leading zeros when the grid is downloaded to excel. Has anyone found a way to fix this issue ? Thanks in advance

    When you download from PS query, the output is created as a true binary xls file, but when you download from a grid in PT 8.51 the output file is html, even though the filename is ps.xls. You can open this file in a text editor.
    If you have all numeric data in a column, it will be stored as <td>nnnnnn</td> in the html file. if the column has mixed numeric and text data, it will be stored as <td>=&amp;quot;nnnnnn&amp;quot;</td>. The leading zeroes are still there in both cases, but when excel imports the first form it will convert the result to numeric, the second it will treat as text.
    Other than logging a case with Oracle, the only workaround I could think of would be to save the file to disk and run the macro directly against the html. Of course, this would likely be a major redesign.

  • WAD reports: download to excel

    Hi,
    When you download your report data to excel, is there some kind of option available so that the user cannot change the data inside the excel? Or some kind of thing in the document that states that this data is original/changed. Does such a mechanism exist that can say that the data is original when you download it via the web report?
    Thanks in advance!
    Tom

    as u said u r downloading the data to excel from wad
    now the output is stored  in excel and if user changes this data then this change will reflect at local pc of ur user
    wat i meant to say is
    lets say ur query is runing thru webtemplate ww
    now ur user x download the query execution thru excel to his pc xx
    now if user changes this excel it will only happen at his pc xx
    now if user forwards this changed excel then and only then this change spreads
    otherwise watever the query execution is going to be it will remain same at all pc's
    in short user can change excel at their respective pc's
    if it is assigned to u to send the downloaded excel from wad to different user communities
    then after downloading u can secure the excel document
    u can download say result aa on day 1
    after downloading use Tools in tabs and then select Options and then in dialog box u can select Security and set the password to open the document, to change the document etc.
    u can set password to edit the document
    this way ur forwarded excel will not get changed
    or if ur doubt is if user change data in excel dowloaded from wad , does it change data at infoprovider then the answer is NO.
    the data at infoprovider will not be changed.

  • Web report download in Excel - unlink to BW

    Hi,
    When a report is downloaded in Excel, the system requires the user to sign in to display the report. Can a report be exported to Excel without keeping the link to BW ?
    Thanks

    Hi David Thoumieux,
       One best way to download reports to Excel is to use BEX download scheduler.
    In this you do the following steps,
    1) Create an scheduling package in Reporting agent tab in RSA1. While creating you will have the option to save it as Excel or web template.
    2) Run the package created by you
    3) You can open download scheduler and download it to excel.
    Now you won't be asked to sign in.
    Hope this helps.

  • Script for the SAP report - download to excel - problem

    Hi all
    I know that similar problem had already been discussed but going through the solution presented in
    any of that topic I was not able to be successful  (I am beginner in terms of VBA and SAP scripting)
    What I would like to do is simply create the SAP script which based on the parameters filled
    in in the excel sheet (user form created) will connect to SAP and make the report which I would like to have saved on my local drive as an excel file.
    Everything is ok till the moment I would like to save it.  As you know SAP records the macro only till the moment some window pops up (where and under what name you would like to have your report  saved)
    Could you please advise  ?
    As a screen I attached also point where macro stops (maybe this makes difference)
    Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
    Below my code.
    Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
    Dim MojaData
    MojaData = ComboBox2.Value
    Dim Companycode
    Companycode = ComboBox1.Value
    Dim Depreciation_area
    Depreciation_area = ComboBox3.Value
    If Not IsObject(Application1) Then
    Set SapGuiAuto = GetObject("SAPGUI")
    Set Application1 = SapGuiAuto.GetScriptingEngine
    End If
    If Not IsObject(Connection) Then
    Set Connection = Application1.Children(0)
    End If
      If Not IsObject(session) Then
         Set session = Connection.Children(0)
      End If
    If IsObject(WScript) Then
    WScript.ConnectObject session, "on"
    WScript.ConnectObject Application1, "on"
    End If
    Dim sbar As String
    sbar = session.findById("wnd[0]/sbar").Text
    session.findById("wnd[0]").maximize
    session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[0]/okcd").Text = "/n s_alr_87011990"
    session.findById("wnd[0]").sendVKey 0
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtBUKRS-LOW").Text = Companycode
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtSO_ANLKL-LOW").Text = ""
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtBERDATUM").Text = MojaData
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtBEREICH1").Text = Depreciation_area
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtSRTVR").Text = "0003"
    session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/radSUMMB").SetFocus
    session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[1]/btn[8]").press
    session.findById("wnd[0]/mbar/menu[0]/menu[1]/menu[1]").Select

    MJ MJ - I cannot replicate a screen like you have to test it but here's what I would suggest:
    Immediately above the command that brings up the SAVE AS dialog, insert these lines:
    ... your code up to here.....
    FileName = "C:\Apps\Notifications.txt"     '<----- enter your save file path/name
    Wshell.run "C:\Apps\DataLoad.vbs " & FileName,1,False     '<-- call up the loader program
    ... then continue with your code....
    Then build a program "dataload.vbs" as follows:
    Dim FileNam2
    Set Wshell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    Do
    bWindowFound = Wshell.AppActivate("Save As")
    WScript.Sleep 1000
    Loop Until bWindowFound
    bWindowFound = Wshell.AppActivate("Save As")
    if (bWindowFound) Then
    Wshell.appActivate "Save As"
    WScript.Sleep 100
    Wshell.sendkeys "{TAB}"
    Wshell.sendkeys "{TAB}"
    Wshell.sendkeys "{TAB}"
    Wshell.sendkeys "{TAB}"
    Wshell.sendkeys "{TAB}"   'make 4 or 5 depending on the platform 4:XP, 5:Win7
    WScript.Sleep 100
    FileNam2 = WScript.Arguments.Item(0)
    Wshell.sendkeys FileNam2
    WScript.Sleep 100
    Wshell.sendkeys "{ENTER}"
    WScript.Sleep 100
    end if
    This should do the trick of copying your filename into the filename box in the SAVE AS dialog.As I said, I did not get to test it but that is the theory.
    Trial-and-error is the only way in many cases.
    Good luck

  • Cost center / Element report downloadable to excel

    Hi
    does anybody know of a cost center/elements total report by period?
    s_alr_87013613 has the information but can not get both values (cost center and elements) in columns that it is usable for excel.
    I looked deeply and could not find anything.
    I searched also the forums and could not find a valid awnser.
    My only workaround is run KSB1 and create a PIVOT which does not really make sense
    also there might be many line items.
    Anybody else has an idea?
    I can not believe it is not available. It seems like such a basic report.
    Thanks so much for your support
    Cheers
    Tim

    Nikolas,
    thanks for the help.
    I decided to make a query on COSP (not COEP due to runtime).
    Cost object i splitt with local fields and field[[first digit:last digit]] function if there is another person looking for the same.
    Cheers

  • Oracle Reports Download to Excel

    Can my users download an Oracle report under 6.0 to MSExcel? Do I need to specify a particular report file format to facilitate this?

    hi
    there is a way to download to csv (comma seperated) file and that is by specifying the file format as DELIMITED and also specifying CELL_WRAPPER parameter.. but when the data retrieved is more than 1000 rows i found the cpu utilization is around 100% for a long time.. may be it is specific to the system.. you can try and find out...
