Ant pre-build..xml file is giving error

Hi
Actually i'm trying to run a tutorial orderbooking on Jdev 10.1.3 (where in i'm using SOA 10.1.3.1. ) This tutorial is of BAM wherein it requires 127.orderbooking tutorial to be deployed normally. once , it got deployed successfully but in BPEL console there was error of wsdl in invoke activity.
For the same i tried fixing the errorr , now it's pointing in pre-build.xml when i deployed it 2nd time. error is
Basedir C:\bb\CreditRatingService does not exist .
i want to know what has to be given for ant dir in prebuild.xml.
kindly revert back
regards
Basedir C:\bb\CreditRatingService does not exist

One word...make
Edna the LudditeTwo words: make...s-u-c-k-s.
Not really, just kidding. But I never liked the
sensitivity to tabs, etc. Ant is far better, IMO.
I sure like how file dependencies were more obvious with make. (Of course java just suffers from that without any build system.)
And given that at least some programmers start out by using ant as a gestalt to build everything rather than providing functionality for building pieces (and then using those to do the build all) it complicates builds over time. It wasn't easy to do that with make at all.

  • Help -- Who has experience with ant and build.xml files ?

    Hi,
    I think my build.xml file is missing setting a classpath I need, but I have never played around with a build.xml file. Could someone help ?
    Thank you.

    A lot of people here use ant. But not all of us can read your mind, and those of us that can are sadistic bastards that like to force people to provide details of their problems just for the hell of it.
    So please do the following:
    * Go through an ant tutorial or other introductory docs, doing an example or two if present.
    * Set up your build.xml according to what you've learned.
    * If it still doesn't work, post the relevant portions of it (hopefully you'll have a small, representative sample that reproduces the problem), along with your relevant directory and file structure, the command you're running, and what error messages you're getting.

  • Ant for the build.xml file

    how ant start parsing the build.xml file ?

    Go to ant.jakarta.org. They have numerous tutorials. Do some research first. If you run into an actual problem, then post what it is.

  • Using Ant to run project build.xml file

    Hello,
    I am trying to understand an example Event processing and correlation project (ESPER) written in java. The example source code is provided as a zip file including a build.xml
    The readme says "Simply use the Ant <project>/build.xml to run the example - it should compile and run, print out the simulation"
    I use the netbeans IDE for development which ships with an ant installation. My question is do i need another ant installation to run the example? Ideally i would prefer to run the example in the IDE, any ideas how i can do that?
    your suggestions will be very much appreciated.
    Antana

    The readme says "Simply use the Ant <project>/build.xml to run the example - it should compile and run, print out the simulation"
    The <project>/build.xml is the ant script where you can customize many NetBeans operations, like project construction, javac configurations, etc. If you simply run this script, nothing happens, unless in this script there is some kind of customization, done by the example. I am assuming <project> is the directory of a NetBeans project.
    I use the netbeans IDE for development which ships with an ant installation. My question is do i need another ant installation to run the example? Ideally i would prefer to run the example in the IDE, any ideas how i can do that?
    You do not need another ant installation. The default installation of NetBeans comes with an ant. You can configure NetBeans to use your preferred ant, but you do not need that, because the default ant in NetBeans directory installation do most of things, if not everything, you need. NetBeans 5.5.1 come with Ant 1.7.0 by default, so if you choose you preferred ant, and this ant is also 1.7.0, then nothing different will happen.
    You can perfectly run the example in the NetBeans IDE. You can also debug the example. Maybe what you have to do is configure the NetBeans project, setting the class with the main() method?

    Hey Guys,
    i am currently involving in a servelet project (RendreX). i want to install apachi ant as a prerequirement. i am using windows 2003 server. I already downloded latest ant version and apache tomcat4.0. Also i have set all the class path,ANT-HOME(C:\ANT) and other relevent paths. But when i run ant command in the command prompt(C:\ANT>ant)will generate error state that "build.xml" file can't be found. Have i done any wrong thing here? Can anybody give a way that i can easily install apache ant on winows.
    It would be greatly appriciated if u can send me some advice to over come this problem.
    Best Regards

    build.xml is the default build file assumed by ant. You have to provide a build file to control what you expect from ant to do.

  • How to run JDev's generated build.xml file(BPEL project) from command win.?

    hi all
    When I execute build.xml file of simple BPEL project from JDev it runs properly. But when I try to execute it from normal command window It gives me an following error.
    ...........droping jar file xyz.jar from path as i doesn't exists.
    While all jar files are exist there.But Ant drops it from Classpath variable.
    So JDev sets some environment before executing such build.xml file.Like {oracle.home} variable u need to set while runnig build.xml from command window.
    Any suggestions...???

  • How to create a build.xml file ??

    Hi there,
    I am learning j2ee at the moment. I have been throught the tutorial and got everything working (finally). however, now that I have started writing my own code, I am stuck with writing the build.xml file (as this is not covered in the tutorial, it is just provided). Does anyone know a good link that will give me step by step instructions on how to create my own build.xml file for my application.
    thanks

    You need to learn ant. Go here:

  • Castor XSD Code Generation ANT task: mapping  XML file?

    Hello,
    I am new to Castor and am using the Castor Code Generator ANT task to generate code from a XSD schema file.
    I am using a binding XML file as well. One thing that I have a question about is the needed XML mapping file. I set the ‘*generateMapping*’ attribute to ‘true’ but have not found a mapping XML document.
    Is there something I am doing wrong?
    I would have attached the XSD files(some are imported), binding XML file and the ANT build.xml file in a .zip file to this post, but this forum does not have a facility for file attachments, but I can email them upon request.
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
    JAXB is the Java standard (JSR-222) for generating Java classes from an XML schema. Several implementations of this standard are available:
    - Metro JAXB: The JAXB reference implementation, available in Java SE 6 and as part of GlassFish
    - EclipseLink JAXB (MOXy): Part of EclipseLink, also available in Oracle TopLink
    - JaxMe: Available from Apache
    - Etc...
    Castor is a proprietary XML binding tool. For Castor related questions you should visit the Castor website.

  • Unable to create build.xml file

    I wrote build.xml file to create build using ANT in eclipse but it failed. The reason is value for "location" attribute (see below) is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. My eclipse workspace is in D:/eclipse/workspace...............but the eclipse software is in C:/eclipse....by inspection I can see that in the plugins directory in c:/eclipse there is paskage/folder named org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.0.0 which has a jar file named JDTCompilerAdapter.jar. Does the "location" attribute need to refer to this location ? If yes then how should I specify the path as I think hardcoding isn't a solution. I mean I obviously can't say
    location="C:\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.0.0\org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.0.0.JDTCompilerAdapter"/>
    Please advise !!
    <?xml ...>
    <project name="game" default="Main Build" basedir=".">
         <property name="bin" location="bin"/>
         <property name="src" location="src"/>
         <property name="jardir" location="${bin}/lib"/>
         <property name="jarfile" location="${jardir}/game.jar"/>
         <property name="build.compiler"
              location="org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.0.0.JDTCompilerAdapter"/>

    I'm not exactly sure what you're doing here, but I don't think any of that stuff belongs in the Ant build.xml. That should be generic, something you can run either inside or outside Eclipse.
    The compiler that's used can be specified in Eclipse when you set up paths for Ant. That doesn't belong inside the build.xml itself.

  • How to automatically generate build.xml file in eclipse?

    Hello every body,
    I am learning about ANT. e.g I have writen a very simple programme which displays output "no worries". But how can I compile it with ANT and how can I generate build.xml file using eclipse.

    This is not really a Java issue but rather is an Eclipse issue. You may wish to look for their support sites or forums.

  • Can't invoke allaire.ejipt.tools.Deploy frm Ant using build.xml

    This is a question to everyone.
    If you know the answer please let us know and the entire community will be grateful. If u have used JRun well and good, if not and u are using any other J2EE server, and u use Ant in conjunction to build ur application, then u must know the answer. I don't as I'm pretty new to Ant.
    I'm trying to build an ant script/ build.xml that might work with Eclipse or simlar ide, the purpose is to compile and deply the Ejbs. The following is what I have got, see attcahed code
    Now, see, I have defined the follwing in my ant script that is included at the bottom.
    <property name="JRUN_HOME" location="C:/JRun"></property>
    <property name="distroot" location="${JRUN_HOME}/servers/default"></property>
    <property name="deploy_dir" location="${distroot}/deploy"></property>
    <property name="deploy_jvm" location="C:/java/jre/1.3.1/bin/java"/>
    <property name="deploy_tool" location="allaire.ejipt.tools.Deploy"/>But then, this is the Deploy task:
    <target name="Deploy" depends="Initialize, Compile, Jar, Dist">
    <echo message="About to deploy ${jarfile} in ${deploy_dir} using ${deploy_jvm}..."/>
    <java fork="true" classpathref="classpath" classname="${deploy_tool}" dir="${deploy_dir}" jvm="${deploy_jvm}">
    <jvmarg value="-Djava.security.policy=${JRUN_HOME}/lib/jrun.policy"/>
    <jvmarg value="-Dejipt.home=${JRUN_HOME}"/>
    </java>
    <echo message="DEPLOY SUCCESSFULY COMPLETED..."/>
    </target>But, when i run the script using ant - all other tasks are successfull apart from the Deploy and this is what I get:
    Deploy:
    [echo] About to deploy H:\lib\mtrack_ant.jar in C:\JRun\servers\default\deploy using C:\java\jre\1.3.1\bin\java...
    [java] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: H:\eclipse\workspace\AdvancedLab\allaire/ejipt/tools/Deploy
    [java] Exception in thread "main"
    [java] Java Result: 1
    [echo] DEPLOY SUCCESSFULY COMPLETED...Hence, my problem is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: H:\eclipse\workspace\AdvancedLab\allaire/ejipt/tools/Deploy. Some how I cannot find out how to tell the java task to use allaire.ejipt.tools.Deploy to deploy the jar file thats alreday be copied to the deploy directory.
    And off course the message is correct that 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: H:\eclipse\workspace\AdvancedLab\allaire/ejipt/tools/Deploy' - because there isn't any allaire/ejipt/tools/Deploy in my home directory. This class is in the ejipt.jar which is in the ${jrun-jardir} which I have mentioned in the Deploy task, but it still doesnt work
    This is very intersting - looking forward to any response.

  • How to make OMS try to re-load XML files marked as error

    Hello,
    we have a lot of XML files marked as errors due to the OMS had been unable to load them becouse a full TS.
    Now that de TS has been extended, how can we force the OMS loader to retry loading all those XML files???. Is there any method to do it??.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    >>>
    Now, after the form has been open for several weeks and I have collected a number of responsed (hence, made a number of assignments) I've been asked to get 2 volunteers for most assignments (I was only getting 1 volunteer per assignment initally). I now need to reopen/re-display all of the assignments that I marked as an error but they are no longer visable on my form.
    Can I bring them back? If so, how?
    You can go back to "Design" Tab and add the options back to your choice fields. For example, if your choice field options are "Blue", "Yellow", "Red", and you deleted "Red", you can add "Red" back to the choice field options (you should be able to add additional new options as well).  In "View Responses" Tab you should not see the error mark anymore.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,
    Lucia
