Antares Autotune Graphmode

Any tips for processing the Graphmode in Logic. I tried using the export region as audio file but I get very inconsistant results. I have also routed the audio in and out thru AES, but was looking for any other options. Anybody have any luck using the external audio editor for this, like STP, Peak, or Dsp Quattro.
Rick

What do you mean by inconsistant results? I use the graph mode all the time after I've comped a vocal and find that sometimes you need to adjust the tracking setting or you will occasionally get the odd note playing in the wrong scale. Sometimes I'll just re bounce the word or phrase having adjusted the tracking and then just drop it in once it's done.

  • I have Antares Autotune 7 with 64 bit compatibility already loaded onto my iLok USB key. How do I import the plug-in onto Logic Pro X?

I bought the update today because I was told that Logic Pro X needed 64 bit version of Antares Autotune 7. Now that I have bought and downloaded the license onto my iLok USB key, how do upload the plug-in onto Logic Pro X?

Have you installed the actual Audiounit (AU) plugin via it's installer, onto your Mac?
The iLok does not have the actual plugin on it... Just some code that the plugin checks... as part of its anti piracy system.

  • Antares autotune 4 graphic mode does not work in Logic

Has anyone found a workaround for the following issue:
Using Antares autotune 4 or 5 in Logic pro 8, I cannot use the graphical mode how it was intended. Using Cubase, I was able to launch the plugin, switch to graphic mode, and track the pitch vs time. This was useful to manually correct the pitch for each syllable. For some reason, this function does not work in Logic Pro 8. Any thoughts as to why? Am I doing something wrong? Please advise.

I haven't used AT in years, but I do still have AT 4.
Graphic mode works just fine here in Logic 8, and I'm still on Tiger as well, albeit 10.4.11
Not that you asked, but seriously, look into Melodyne. AT is so archaic as far as it's graphic mode is concerned. 30 seconds back with it and I can't seriously see why anyone would use that plug-in, other than maybe manual mode, for a quick "run a comb through it" fix.
Sorry I couldn't give you an answer as to why this is happening. have you contacted Antares?

  • New Garageband update won't let me use my Antares Autotune Evo Plugin?

So ive used this plugin just fine until the new update. Need this plugin for recording certain vocals from certain people. Just frustrated as to why it wouldn't work. Can anyone tell me why? And if there's a way to fix it??

The newest GarageBand version is a 64-bit application, and 32-bit plug-ins will not work any longer. Also, the plug-ins need to be compatible with Mavericks's sandboxing.  Check at the Manufacturer's web site, if there is an updated version of your plug-in available.

  • Does Antares autotune and otherplug ins work with logic and garageband?

i'm thinking it does, but not sure

I think it just has to be an 'Audio Units' or AU type plugin. There is a pretty basic pitch correction plugin built into Logic Express. I was pretty impressed with it.

  • Help trying to bounce a mono track in place with autotune plugin

I am trying to render a vocal track which has an Antares Autotune plugin by using the bounce track in place. It works but no matter what I try, the new track is being created in stereo. The origional track is mono. What would I be doing wrong here? Thanks
    James

Ah, Thank you, so you are saying that if I uncheck the Volume and Pan automation checkbox it should work. Maybe that's it then. My origional channel strip and regions are mono. I will try this and see what happens. I also noticed I don't have the last logic upgrade. I will also be upgrading. Thanks

  • Autotune problems installing

hi - after trying to make it work for an hour i am infuriated by how difficult a simple task of installing a plugin in proving. on pc it's a piece of cake...
anyway, ive downloaded antares autotune evo demo (au version) and installed it. it told me it had installed fine but it's nowhere to be found within logic. reinstalled about 15 times and nothing. how do i use the plugin and what is the problem?
    any help appreciated.

but says it doesnt pass authorisation and directs me to install InterLok extensions.
Then that is most likely why it isn't working.
I thought with demo didn't need authorisation for first 10 days?
It is an iLok plugin, which usually means to use it, you actually need an iLok, and you download a time-limited demo license to the iLok which lets you use the plugin.
I don't know about that particular pluginm but I expect that is how it works - the same with Syncrosoft-protected plugins - you still need the dongle to install the demo license on to use it.
Now, perhaps the Arturia has a variant of iLok which enables a temporary hard disk authorisation and so doesn't need a key - but you'll still need to install the Interlok drivers to enable this to work. The fact that you are being prompted means you have neither the Interlok drivers active on your system, and/or you don't have an iLok.
Does the demo come with an installation readme?

  • Recording on a track, while listening to another track...

    Hi
Basically I currently have a blank track armed for recording with effects, and I have track 2 with an instrumental track.  On the third track I have a song that I would like to listen to while recording, BUT not turn up in the recoding.  Currently all 3 tracks turn up in the recording.  I would only like track 1 and 2 to be in the final product.  I need to listen to track 3 for reference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have Adition 3.0 with antares autotune installed on a PC, if this helps.
    Thanks!

    Hi Steve
Thanks so much for your reply.  I am still a bit confused as to what exactly I have to do as this is really my first day using Adobe for my project.
Basically I have gone to the Windows mixer recording and I can verify that only the Mic that I am using is selected.  That is good.
I have the audition mix to "always input" so I can hear what my recording is 'live'.
When you mention re routing things to inputs, would this be in the Adobe auditon program, or windows.
I would think that what I'm trying to do is very basic, which is setting the first track 'armed for record', which works fine (although I realize you said it will be dry until I 'save as an mp3' (i think))
the second track will be the 'instrumental track' which I would like to be in the final output without track 3
track 3 is the full song (with lyrics and instrument) which I just need for when I'm recording so I know when to say certain words and such..
the problem is, is when I go to record (with the mic), I am recording all 3 tracks, which is logical, but i only want my recording to end up having track 2 (instrumental) and track 1 (my mic) ....
is there no way I can simply select which tracks to end up in the recording on track 1?
also, track one I believe, once I've recorded, has all 3 tracks combined, which I only want to have track 1 and 2.
also, when i got to edit--> rewire setup, and click 'enable' ...it says I have no re wire programs on my computer....
maybe i have to select my track 3 for "read, write, touch, latch" settings (which are all currently set to 'read')?
sorry if I'm making things more complicated then they have to be...just need to get cracking on this asap....
    thanks!

  • Un-installing problem

i downloaded ANTARES AUTOTUNE 5 DEMO VERSION ( RTAS audio processing plug-in). I NEED TO UN-INSTALL IT BECAUSE I NEED TO USE THE OLDER VERSION. i cant wait to expire ... how will i do it?

Drag it to the trash or contact Antares support, as it's not an Apple product and not related to the installation of Mac OS X...the focus of this forum.

  • Audition CS5.5 and Macbook pro performance

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. I’ll give you a little history as to how I got here.
Started off on CE2.0 then moved onto Audition 1.5 and now I’m on Audition 3.0
I know Audition like the back of my hand, It suits my workflow perfectly(well almost perfectly).
I found that I was reaching some limitations with Audition 3. A normal session for me would consist of 1 Midi track for the EZDrummer VSTi and then up to around 30 audio tracks. My genre is rock/indie/acoustic. Each track will generally have compression and reverb. My vocal track consists of Reverb, 2 compression effects(to compress and de-ess) and sometimes Antares Autotune.
What I found was that I could tell the system was starting to giveway, I was getting pops and clicks during playback, and I would have to start freezing tracks. I found that Antares Autotune was pushing my system, along with the Guitar Suite.
My main problems I found was comping tracks. I would need to create a new track for each vocal take, which ends up pushing the system even more.
I decided I needed to make a change. So I started looking for alternate DAW’s which had a “take” system. I was deciding between Logic or Protools. I’ve been running a PC setup since forever, so Logic would mean I would have to buy a Mac. I choose Logic 9 as I have witnessed my friend comp vocals on it, and it looked very user friendly, So I bought myself a Macbook Pro 15” with the i7 CPU.
So I’ve been using this setup for the last 2 months or so, and to be perfectly honest I miss Adobe Audition. Dont get me wrong, Logic is great, but it feels more like a toy compared to Audition. I feel more at home with Audition. More specifically the workflow, and the Studio Reverb plugin is the best reverb plugin I have EVER used. Not to mention the dynamics processor has great de-esser presets.
    ANYWAY.
    Its question time.
In Audition and more specifically Audition 5.5 Is there a built in “take” system which I’m not aware about? Or do we all just create a new track for each vocal take and comp that way? I don’t mind this way of Comping vocals, the problem lies when the system starts to pop and click due to having too many tracks. This brings me to my next question.
How is the performance of the Mac version of Audition 5.5 on a 15” i7 Macbook Pro with 4gig of ram? Unfortunately my trial period has run out, and I didn’t get much of a chance to push the system(I couldn’t open my .ses files).
Is there a way to convert .ses to .sesx? I tried converting to .xml and it didn’t carry over the plugins.
Can I extend my trial period of Audition 5.5 in anyway?
I really want to give Audition another shot if I can convert to .sesx with ease and have great performance with my Macbook pro.

Okay, I've spent some time this morning looking at Guitar Rig 5 in CS5.5 and CS6.  Guitar Rig can install a lot of flavors of audio plug-in depending on your need.  Audition only cares about the VST and Audio Unit (on Mac.)
There was an issue we found in Audition CS5.5 where some effects don't properly report their channelization.  While not technically an Audition bug (it's part of the VST spec, I believe) we were not trapping these wayward plug-ins, which is why you saw Guitar Rig listed, but disabled.  We addressed this issue in Audition CS6 by catching plug-ins that do not respond to channel requests as expected and assigning them as appropriate.
Guitar Rig is now enabled in Audition CS6 VST Effects List
More importantly, Audition CS6 opens up some pretty impressive effect channelization options which allow you to route the channels of a file into an effect in any manner you like.  This allows you full control over which channel is assigned to which effect input, and which channel the output should be applied.
Feeding a 5.1 file into a Mono effect now enables precise control over channel routing.
Full control over 5.1 files into 5.1 effects as well.  Any combination of channelizations and effects should work well.
Lastly, here's Guitar Rig 5 running in Audition CS6.  While it definitely works, I do not recommend modifying this particular guitar track.  Much like trying to pitch correct Freddie Mercury, Keith Richards guitar work does not benefit from additional processing

  • Plug-ins for vocal editing (logic pto 8)

Does anyone know where I can get a really nice vocal editing plug in for logic pro 8? Something like v-vocal in sonar? I know of antares autotune but is that for mac?
    Thanks guys!

Anything that is available as an Audio Unit can be used in Logic. Antares Autotune is available as an AU.
But trust me on this one, this is the one to own...

  • User defined tuning - can Logic 8 do just intonation?

    Hello,
I'm trying to tune Logic 8 for just intonation
I go into ProjecSetting/Tuning and go ahead selecting 'user' scale
However Logic wont allow me to write increments bigger than +99 - but all the tables I found with Just Intonation values point me to increments starting at +111 cents
    http://www.sfu.ca/sonic-studio/handbook/Just_Tuning.html
Any kind sould here knows what I'm doing wrong?
    thanks and all the best
    val

you could always use the pitch correction plugin and set it to just intonation. Can't remember if Logic does that when you select a key. I know Antares Autotune gives you a wide selection of tunings. Should work on keyboards too right?

  • What happened to my vocal track?

I've been working on my first project using LP8 (migrating from DP5). The other night, I completed a vocal track which took me several overdubs to complete. Afterwards, I used Antares Autotune 5 in manual edit mode to touch-up a few pitch issues. Everything was working great. I saved the project and shut down for the night.
Last night, I opened to project to do some more work and it appers that my vocal track is corrupted. Everything plays fine up to the first punched-in portion of the audio track and from that point on my vocal is out of sync with all of the other tracks. A) It wasn't like this when I saved it the other night. B) There also appears to be a sync isseue with Autotune, becuase it is doing the corrections in the wrong locations as well. Did I do something wrong, or is this a bug that needs a support call?
PS- I've used the same instance of Autotune on my DP5 projects without any problems for over a year now.
    Thanks all!
    Lee

    Hi,
Had the same problem - it has something to do with comping, not Autotune.
    1) Unpack the comped track in the dropdown on the left end portion of the audio take.
    2) Select all the parts in your vocal take.
    3) Go to Audio dropdown above the time line an select "Move Region to Original Record Position"
Once the parts are in the right place I would bounce the part to simplify the arrange window.
Parts 1-3 of this solution was posted by someone else - many thanks to him.
    I think this should work.
