Any ALFA AWUS036H user here? Conectivity issues

Hi all and happy new year!
I'm a "almost" proud owner of this little and powerful piece of hardware but I'm probably having some malfunction with this device. I need someone who also has one of this wireless usb adapters to answear this questions, please
When I connect to any acess point I have to manualy set iwconfig wlan0 rate (1 to 5mbps) because it selects 48 or 54mbps and is unable to keep conectivity to ANY AP at ANY DISTANCE (no ping response, but conection is active (0 packets)).
Also I noticed that there are no wireless AP's with less than -78db. They just disapear at -78dB instead of the usual -95 to -100db.
On windows (biuck) rate is not an issue, it selects rates as low as 1M in a -65dB connection, it's slow, but works. Just like on linux, on windows there are no networks with less than "3 sticks" of strengh. It completly looses conectivity if I lower the signal. Usualy I'm able to connect to AP's with "1 stick" (-90dB, SNR 1 or 2) with other wifi adapters. (xp, vista, seven)
Question 1: Does this happens to you?
Question 2: Maybe rma is a good ideia no?
Any information is a good help to me. I still have 4 more months of warranty

Any M3 - Logic users here?

I recently purchased a Korg M3 (great instrument). I have found very little documentation about using with DAW's specifically Logicpro the the M3. Specifically, I want to set up a recording process, to record the Korg's raw performance midi information, then route back individual midi channels, and then record the seperate "Karma'd" tracks one by one.
I just run into a steady upstream battle, with Logic. Logic doesn't seem to like Korg's Firewire Option, very regular crashes, I can't get the multiple channels of FW option to work in Logic. I haven't had any success with Logic's 'midi thru' function, (found a work around).
Latency is an issue. Midi clock to drive M3's Ge's is 'late'. The score playing, and note's heard, are out of sync. I'm slowly discovering work around's. But it is very frustrating.. I've found nothing in Korg's site and very little on Karma-Lab's site. A few posts about Logic and M3. But most posts go unanswered..
I can't believe there aren't more people out there trying to get Logic to work well with an M3 (or Oasys).. The Karma technology is amazing. Trying to understand and master it is a challenge. But the first step is getting Logic and the Korg to 'relate' to each other..
Any thoughts, observations, experiences, or suggestions would be welcomed

You can't see it as the router does not handle the sync that is done by the modem. Only routers with built in VDSL modems like the Draytek can show the sync speed. Your new router is no different from the HH3 in that respect.

Okay, before you say it, yes, am asking about LOGIC users here to see if they noticed an increase in FPU or DECREASE with new UPDATE, with first LEOPARD, there were spikes, and it used more CPU than TIGER (some are still waiting for Pro Tools)..
Anyway, what is the best way to update to Leopard and still keep my emails (10 different accounts) and just update to LEOPARD ? MBP is my lifeline and I don't want to back up, just install my NFS then go to update, will that work!

I know this is a common issue, I see many members from forums, here, crackberry, and many others experiencing problems with BlackBerry Link.
1. I can't switch device from Z10 to Q10, 1st it says my Q10 has old software, I have updated to the latest, now it says please make sure my device is connected and retry, I press retry and always failed to detect (for restore data from Z10 backup to Q10) other than that, it can detect my Q10.
2. To restore data from backup you have to sign in to BlackBerry ID first and it makes your BBM contact transferred without the others, contact, SMS, calendar, notes, alarms, settings, etc. I'm thinking of moving back to Z10 and afterwards all my open chats in Z10 just disappear, I still have importants chat containing appointments, addresses, price negotiation, hotel reservations, argh this is frustrating because every time I wanted to restore to new device it will ask to sign in again, and how is it going to decide which is my valid PIN on the other side of my BBM's contact if I keep switching device like this back and forth..
Why can't it be like the old days of OS 4, 5, 6, 7 and 7.1?
Where we can make full or partial backups and restore it to any device and any OS?

Laughable poor camera on 9900 I can't take photos of receipts and documents, and I have to charge 3 times a day (this is supposed to be a "mobile" phones? I always ended up with dead battery when I'm mobile, and I have to stuck on charger for hours waiting to charge)
And now this .... Come on RIM do something please we really like your device...
Devices I like the most are 9700 and 9780, except for desktop manager that is not backing up auto text. Great camera, great battery life.
Btw I have use the latest release of Link but still can't restore data.

Because BB10 was not an evolution from BBOS...it is completely new, and sadly they did not take all of the prior design considerations and use them when they created BB10 and it's associated toolsets.

That functionality, while requested by many, has not been implemented. There is no way for anyone here to know if/when it will ever be so.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Pulseaudio and systemd --user: DBus scope issues?

I have a multi-seat setup, so I need user-wide pulseaudio and whatnot. I'm trying to setup my boot through systemd --user.
Testing audio working apps are firefox, mpv, and mpd. The problem is:
- If I start pulseaudio and mpd manually everything is fine (no use of systemd)
- If I start pulseaudio through systemd no application has sound.
- If I start pulseaudio and mpd through systemd only mpd has sound.

If I add BusName=org.pulseaudio.Server to the pulseaudio.service nothing changes.
Using pulseaudio's autospawn=yes leads to what seems to be same behaviour: mpd by systemd starts pulseaudio and is the only app with sound.
./config/pulse/client.conf only contains default-sink. Everything else is default.
Using alsa alone is not an option because of firefox.
Any thoughts?

I could start things. Pulseaudio started, so did mpd. I also have a /usr/lib/systemd/systemd --user process started for each user. I assumed this would be it since this

always happens and I've read that systemctl --user is no longer required.

Fixed it. Don't remember where I read that it wasn't required, just that it was in the same place I found someone else complaining about getting this error.
For anyone else encountering this: sed -i s/system-auth/system-login/g /etc/pam.d/systemd-user
and systemctl --user will work. Insults fly out to the one who wrote it wasn't required!
Still am not able to get an active session though

The best overall art styles plugin for PS is probably AlienSkin's SnapArt. I'd say their filters are a cut above Photoshop's which are old and have never been updated.

It seems that many (if not all) of my files have been replaced by older versions. I kind find the multiple versions (listed in the Search as in the same dir) and restore them but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done a restor

I am able to save and then overwrite in order to restore but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done any sort of system restore action (at least intentionally).

In a OS Extended (HFS) file system there is no way you can have two files with identical names in the same directory.
Of course who knows what spotlight is thinking of most of the time when it does its stupid searches (get Find any File instead) and lists its results? Are you sure it is listing the same directory or do you have a backup and it is finding it there and you aren't noticing it is two different volumes?
You could also try reindixing the volume. Add it to the Spotlight system preferences Privacy and then remove it.

I can only report MY SYMPTOMS: iPhone 4S 32M on VZW, upgrade to iOS 7.0 at the end of February (when security flaw was announced), after which my battery life is about 1/2 what it used to be before the upgrade.
Also, as reported above, when I upgraded to iOS 7.0 my phone would lock (in phone mode); had uncommanded reboots; and severely degraded battery life. Two days ago, upgraded to iOS 7.1. Most screen "touch" issues appear resolved; and uncommanded reboots resolved.
Battery life / duration still poor; still charging every 4-5 hours.
Previously with normal use (with no location services) could run a full day, about 8 hours before recharge. Now, same situations, I'm having to recharge after 4-5 hours. Again, no new apps, all apps are current; no different usage.
What's the resolving fix?

Is there any smarthost or antispam apps configured for the outbound emails?
Please check whether other users in your domain can send messages to Hotmail.com. Also check whether you can send message to other domain accounts or just Hotmail.com.
Please confirm if you has installed antivirus or antispam software on the server. If there is one, try disabling it.
If other users also cannot send external messages, please get the send connect configurations of your Exchange server:
