Not as far as I am aware.
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS The latest version, 10.2.152.25 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Note that the latest Flash Player update only works on YouTube with Safari in 32 bit mode - until YouTube correct this.

  • Are there any MP players that work on Windows 98?

I want to buy my neice a MP3 player for her birthday but she only has Windows 98 and won't be upgrading anytime soon. I wanted to get her a shuffle but I don't think it works on Windows 98. The specs say Windows 2000 and up.
Are there any Mp3 players out there that work on 98?
    Thanks so much!

I've been told that there is a driver you can install on a Win98 PC to run an iPod on it... this is its link:
    http://www.98-drivers.com/ipod.html
There are probably some other MP3 players that work on Windows 98... You might want to drop in to your local Best Buy / Circuit City (or some electronics store like that) and see what they have.
    Hope this helps

is there a flash player that works on the ipad

    Re: Flash player for Ipad

Folks, here's the sad truth, according to Engadget:
"After nearly 4 years of the iOS platform, Adobe is still having difficulty being able to get Flash Player on Apple’s mobile platform. Many sided with Adobe on this one a couple of years ago calling this exclusion unreasonable, but the latest failures for Android Honeycomb to deliver decent Flash performance justifies Apple's decision. Even the Frash hacks bogged down the 1st generation iPad and the PlayBook had problems bring Flash to their Blackberry Tablet."
Some months ago, before I really researched this issue, I was determined to "get around Steve Jobs obvious hidden personal and business greed agendas" and run Flash on a tablet. So I bought an ASUS Transformer Tablet just to be able to run flash (a $400 "app")! OK, just a wee bit over the top. But, I can now personally testify to the surprisingly disappointing performance of Flash on Android.
Based on that confirmation, and on numerous reports from those running Flash on jailbroken iPads, either Adobe has lost all of it top notch programmers to Google, Facebook, -- and likely even Apple! -- or it never has been serious about porting Flash to iOS (I suppose this could have been intentional, thinking that the absence of Flash would do serious harm to the platform once folks found out).
But whatever. I am finally over my Flash of "brilliance" and resigned to just skip over the web sites that require Flash, and wait till I am at my iMac or PC to do those that are really necessary. And, despite that the ASUS Tablet does technically run Flash, it does it so poorly that I preferred to use my Mac or PC.
I gave the minty new ASUS Tablet which is otherwise a nicely done, but still "work in progress" (unlike my Android phone) to my med school daughter. She loves it -- and now calls me all the time to talk, usually about how to get stuff to work on it (but any excuse to talk to her is good by me ;-).

  • Anyone know of any greeting card program that works with OS  x?

anyone know of any greeting card program that works with OS X?

There is no solution. The Canon UFR2 driver used by the MF series does not work when connected to a Windows share or a wireless print server, including the Airport Extreme or Express. The problem is wholly to do with the way in which Canon has written this driver and therefore the Canon support staff should know this and tell you (although their Mac knowledge in Australia is pitiful and most likely the same in your region).
If you had a model with Ethernet, then you could connect it to the wireless router and print via IP > LPD. But I know that your MF4150 only has USB as I mate of mine had one and he had exactly the same issue on Tiger, which I documented on the Tiger forum and the Airport printing forum.
So, don't waste your money on a print server. Get rid of the Canon and get something that will work for all your OS's. If I can suggest, the safest purchase would be to get a model that supports Postscript. While this does cost more, it will help to avoid any limitations that can occur when using a vendors proprietary printer language, like Canon's UFR2.

  • Is there a version of flash player that works on windows mobile 6.5?

    Hi,
Forgive me if this question shows my ignorance but is there a version that can be installed that works with wm6.5?  When I visit web pages on my device that have embedded flash content I am advised that I need to update my version of flash player but the link takes me to an Adobe page that doesn't seem to have a version that will work for my device.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

I've been reading lately about Apple's ongoing battle with Adobe over mobile apps and Flash. What I've gotten from all of it is that Apple wants to develop a mobile format replacement to Flash, and Adobe wants to block it. Apple's contention is that Flash is too bulky and consumptive for mobile apps and content. Apple has barred any mobile apps for iPhone and iPad from containing any Flash code, and Adobe says that has hurt their development of SDKs for people who want to make iPhone apps. It's turned into a regular peeing contest.
I would have to assume that Apple iPhone, DROID, and Windows Mobile all have the same issue with Flash content and software, since they all have to fall within the standards for mobile communications in order to be "universally accessible" by all the companies that make PDAs, tablets, and phones.
I've yet to see a Flash Player download for Windows Mobile, and given the current environment, with HTML 5 coming soon, it's not likely I will.

  • Flash players wont work

i have not been able to install flash 10 on my computer because i have vista. nothing seemed to work so i downloaded 9. now that is not working. when installed there is an x on the icon in my programs. i have deleted it and re installed it and have to do that every few weeks but now it wont show at al. i am in desperate need of this flash player and need help. what can i do or is there another program that does what this flash player does? If anyone can help me please.

Ok. LOL. I was reading the problems you were having and reading what you have tried so far, but I couldn't help but laugh. I've been in your shoes but under different curcumstances. I'm an above average user (pretty smart when it comes to computers, Electronics Technician in the Navy) and my father is a retired Computer Technician (IT and Tele-Communications). So I like to think I know a few things. The reason you can't delete the .ocx  flash files directly is because those are considered system files (since they are in the System32 folder, the Adobe Flash folder has inherited those same permissions and restrictions) and you are not running as an (approved) administrator (which you know). You ARE running as an Administrator if you are the sole user of the system and are not working under a user created account. The problem in under the System32 folder, your not listed as the Administrator/User with full control capability. I know you already dragged them out, deleted them, and tried installing Adobe Flash 10.  It's a  built in security feature put in place by Microsoft to help keep  spyware, adware, viruses and accidental user deletion from harming the OS. In your list of add-on's you did not have flash listed  as a plug-in or active-x. It has nothing to do with your toolbars you  have installed or your java. First off, disable your UAC (User Account Control)(You can turn this back on later if your paranoid about security, and do not have any anti-spyware and anti-virus software installed). Go to control panel. Start then click control panel. Then in  the top right corner of that window is a search bar that should say  "search in control panel". Type in UAC. This should bring up your UAC  which is by default set to medium or so. Turn this all the way off by sliding the bar to the bottom. Restart your computer. (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way -on-windows-vista/) Once rebooted,  this should give you full access to most things in the computer. Some  system files may require you to take or "Inherite permissions" before  they can be modified. You can google how to take permission of system  files (or read below). Then go here:  http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html. Scroll down, download, then install  the active-x and plug-in for Windows. Then check in your add-ons in IE8 and it should be there. If not try viewing a website with a flashplayer. For example, go to www.armorgames.com then just click any random game. Those are all flash based games and if your flash player is working the game will work. If you still see a red "x" then you may have a flash blocker  installed as an add-ons or in your add/remove programs (I'll guide you through those steps if this doesn't work). The IE8 by default (security settings) will not block flash player. If you have anymore questions, just let me know and I will be glad to help you.
Here, I took an extra step to help you out, and found something very easy for you to do when trying to take ownership of files (assuming your still having issues after turning off the UAC) Go to this link and follow the instructions.

    Hi Aaron,
Sorry this is going on.  Would you be willing to do a quick desktop sharing session with me so I can gather some debug information from your system?  If so please email [email protected] with a time convenient for you and I'll set something up.

  • A flash player that works on EVERY browser/platform ?

I havea  five minute video that I want to put on my site.
I have got Adobe Flash CS3 and have been using actionscript3.0.
Its worked pretty much ok on about every PC I've tested it on,  but when I tried to browse it on a MAC, it wanted me to install a plugin.
Also, a friend with an Galaxy (Android) looked at my site and his phone wanted a plugin too.
Is there any one-solution-fits-all for every browser/platform?
    thanks,

    in short, no.
you will need different ways to present your video even if you want to only target common web browsers and common mobile devices.
    here's part 1 of a 4 part explanation: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adc-presents/videoandhtml5part1understandinghtml5/

  • I have made a Flash gallery that works in DW but not in browsers

Hi, I am fairly new to Flash and Dreamweaver and have encountered a problem with my CS4 Dreamwever and Flash. I have made two galleries in flash of 30-40 stills that change after 2 seconds in time line. I saved these and exported to DW as .swf files.
Having placed them into my web page in DW and viewing the page locally in both Safari (yes I'am a Mac user) and Firefox they work fine, so I have uploaded the whole schbang to the remote server. When viewing the pages in Safari or Firefox they do not view at all, I get either a blank field in the page where the Flash should be or a message from adobe saying I need to update to a newer version of flash player, depending on which browser I'm using. I have followed the download link and installed the new player but it still comes up the same. Is this somthing I'm doing wrong or a problem with CS4, The CS3 I trained on seemed to be able to do this ok?
    All help greatfully received, Thanks

Yopu may have missed uploading a javascript file to the server.  It will be identified in the head section of the html file, possibly as a file in a Scripts folder.  If that is not the case, then you'll need to provide a link to the file on the server.
