Any Alternative to Numerical Identifiers

Question

I've always been real big on using a readily understood
identifier for files, classes, topic names etc. But now I have a
bunch of imported PowerPoint presentations--one image to t each
topic page that have a couple of added slides throwing off the
numerical ids I've used all along. It's a real pain to have
renumber almost everything. Any ideas for an alternative id system
would make my day.

We keep getting SQL Service Broker conversation getting locked and creating deadlocks, any ideas to find the root cause.

1. This is not a reason not to use Service Broker, but a reason to find the source of the problem. The Service broker by it's own usually do not cause Deadlocks, using one
queue.
There are a lot of potential solutions to prevent deadlocks occurring, and the correct one will depend on the specific deadlock condition that is occurring.
If you are using several queues, try to Send, to the same service.
For most cases, there is no reason for having two target services. Make sure that
the using of the message in the queue, is not the reason for the deadlocks, the insert should be OK for most cases. Monitor the reasons what is in conflict. If you can give us more information
it might help us to specifically give you advice.
