Any alternative webserver to WAMP that works with Adobe Captivate?

Hi there,
We are using Adobe Captivate version 5.5 with an internal website using WAMP 2.1.  Recently our ISO found that WAMP's php/apache version is outdated, and require a upgrade, but I checked that even the most recent version of WAMP's version 2.2, its php/apache version is still below our ISO requirement of 5.3.15.  I did not find any discussion in Adobe Captivate talking about an alternative webserver to WAMP, is there another option exist?  If so, what are the steps to make it work with Adobe Captivate?  Thank you...
Jeff

I have only set up IIS servers on Microsoft Server operating systems, but there is apparently a way to do it in Windows 7 (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-to-install-iis-on-windows-vista/ ). However I have never tried this so I don't know if there are any limitations with IIS running on a desktop operating system as opposed to a server operating system.
If you have an existing server running Microsoft Server 2003 - 2012 then you can simply enable the IIS on these and follow the relatively easy wizard to get it up an running.

  • Any pre keyed effect sites that work with adobe premiere elements 11?

I have been trying to find a legit non scam/virus site with pre keyed effects like explosions, gunshot fire, fire, and other effects like that.
Most sites that I've tried are virus' or only work with imovie.
Anyone know of any good sites that have pre keyed effects that works with adobe premiere elements 11? (they don't have to look good, I am just practicing with those)

In my book "Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Premiere Elements 11", I recommend and show you how to use clips from the wonderful site http://detonationfilms.com/ to create explosive effects.

  • Is there any enterprise class PHP framework that works with Oracle ?

    Hi everyone,
I am investigating the possibility of using some kind of PHP framework that will help develop enterprise class web applications. -- something similar to Oracle's ADF for Java --
I have spend the last two weeks working with symfony which appears to be very attractive but does now work with Oracle. (Well at least I haven't been able to make it work).
So my question is what are you people using? I mean you can't go around witting PHP scripts that display HTML tables with embedded echo's in them, each time you want to display the results of a query...
    Thanks in advance
    Thanassis

There is Cake, but I have no experience. I wrote an article about Symfony, after I was tasked with maintaining a PHP application written with Symfony. A colleague has left the company and the application was given to me. Since then, I have left the company, so I am no longer in such close contact to PHP frameworks. The information about Cake can be found at http://cakephp.org. I have no experience whatsoever with it.

  • Any leads on bidirectional amps that work with FIOS?

I recently added a TV in my house, and splitting the signal caused my primary TV to begin pixellating on a number of channels (e.g. ESPNHD), and completely drop out on others (e.g. Sprout). Adding a (so-called) bidirectional amplifier to the line fixed this issue, but at the expense of the program guide and VOD features - come to find out it's not really bidirectional with FIOS' technology. I don't use VOD that much (although my wife kind of likes it), but we *really* use the program guide.
Does anyone know of a bidirectional amp that *does* work with FIOS signals? My understanding is that FIOS' reverse signal goes out at >1 GHz, and most bidirectional amps cut off in the low MHz range (5-42 IIRC). I'd also appreciate other thoughts on how to remedy this issue. I'm driving 2 STBs, 2 digital TV's and my internet connection off the FIOS connection.

If your FiOS signal is too weak, that suggests to me that there is an issue with your installation (ex: defective splitter) or the cable connections.  Most picture problems on FiOS are due to the signal being too strong, not too weak.  FiOS ONTs output at anywhere from +16 to +24dB (or thereabouts), depending on the model.  Many TVs, STBs, and DVRs will exhibit dropped frames or intermittent pixelization with signals much higher than +6dB.  IIRC, the recommended operating range for Motorola STBs is roughly -6 to +6 dB.
When you consider that the typical splitter attenuates a signal by -3dB to -5dB, it's not clear to me how your installation got from +16 to +24dB at the ONT, to sufficiently below -6dB so as to cause problems for the Motorola box.
I have one of the original Motorola 610 ONTs.  My Motorola DVR exhibited occasional pixelization and frequent stutter (dropped frames) on some channels until my FiOS signal was attenuated (reduced) by 7dB, through an added splitter and -3dB attenuator.  I've since replaced the -3dB attenuator with a -10dB attenuator (for a total -16dB to -18dB after splitters), as necessary to eliminate pixelization on my TivoHD, which is more sensitive than the Motorola box.

  • Are there any QR code reader's that work with the KIN twoM? Any web based appliacations? VZW based?

ANy help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Well thank you! I just recently learned about them myself  because the company I work for is about to start using them. Many companies are utilizing these now and I bet youll see alot more in the years to come. For example, best buy is actually using these on their price tags. Here, take a look: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=best+buy+qr+code&view=detail&id=07500A4A6E4E35B28119067F5FA2091D12CFCC6D&first=1&FORM=IDFRIR
See the QR on the lower left side? If you scanned that with your phone(or did I what I suggested with the kin), it would lead you to best buys mobile site for the item you are looking at.  With that link,  you can access further information about the product before you purchase it. Like all the specs listed online. So it seems like it could be a very useful tool. Recently bought a copy of Jack@ss 3d and a QR code was on there as well.  I believe that one linked you to some extra scenes or stuff like that.

  • Printers that work with Yosemite?

I just bought my iMac this week and can't get my Lexmark printer to work, I can send a document to it, but then it crashes with a "divide by zero" error????
It worked fine with my previous Macintosh running  OS X 10.5.8
Lexmark has been of little help, as they will only say that the driver is for Mac OS X 10.6 and higher.
I've tried to research the printers which are supposed to work with Yosemite, but I am now thoroughly confused.
I must recover the ability to print, and I'm looking for an inkjet printer capable of working with my iMac, OS X 10.10.3 -- are there ANY AirPrint or USB printers that work with Yosemite?
    Bill

Thanks for the replies, but I'm afraid that the Apple Support List (via the link several folks have provided me) appears to be not up-to-date.
For example, the following printers are listed (HP), but upon checking the HP website, drivers are not available for Max Os X 10.10:
    HP Deskjet 1010 series
    HP Deskjet 1512 series
    HP Deskjet 2540 series
The HP download center correctly detects my operating system, but indicates that it cannot provide a list of available drivers/software updates.
Most of the above printers indicate compatibility with Mac OS 10.9, but not for Yosemite.
The printers that I listed above are in my desired price range.  Does anyone have any of these Deskjet products that work with Yosemite?

Okay, I did my best searching and I couldn't find anything that matched all your descriptors. I did do a search on both decoder numbers. SB0256 returned very little results, but with SB0466, I was able to find this ebay listing:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6_fvi%3D&_rdc=
This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again
Oh, and I will vote on that thread. I probably won't wait for them to release the decoder since I need it now, but I still believe Creative should be giving the customer what they want

  • I have an airport extreem network that works with two MacBooks.  I am trying to get my PC (IBM ThinkPad) to connect to the network.  The PC has airport for the PC downloaded but it will not recognize the network.  Any suggestons please!

I have an airport extreem network that works with my two MacBooks and a iMAC.  I am having no luck in getting a PC (IBM ThinkPad0 that has the PC airport software to be recognized by the network.  Any suggestions?

When you introduced the AirPort Extreme, you had a condition where you have two routers in series. The simpliest solution is to reconfigure the downstream router (in this case the Extreme) as a bridge. This will allow the upstream router to provide the required NAT & DHCP services to all network clients regardless of which router they are connected to.
To reconfigure the Extreme as a bridge, you will use the AirPort Utility. (Note: I will provide the steps for using AirPort Utility v5.x)
AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort > Manual Setup
Internet > Internet Connection tab > Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)

  • I need a USB Headset with Mic to use for Webinar's and Go To Meeting sessions. There looks to be very few options that work with the Mac as they seem to be designed for Windows.  Any suggestions on equipment?

I am looking for a binaural USB headset with microphone to use during Go To Meeting sessions and Webinar's. Seems to be little that works with the iMac and most of the web searches have not been encouraging. Any suggestions on units that work.  I have a new iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

  • Anyone know of any greeting card program that works with OS  x?

anyone know of any greeting card program that works with OS X?

There is no solution. The Canon UFR2 driver used by the MF series does not work when connected to a Windows share or a wireless print server, including the Airport Extreme or Express. The problem is wholly to do with the way in which Canon has written this driver and therefore the Canon support staff should know this and tell you (although their Mac knowledge in Australia is pitiful and most likely the same in your region).
If you had a model with Ethernet, then you could connect it to the wireless router and print via IP > LPD. But I know that your MF4150 only has USB as I mate of mine had one and he had exactly the same issue on Tiger, which I documented on the Tiger forum and the Airport printing forum.
So, don't waste your money on a print server. Get rid of the Canon and get something that will work for all your OS's. If I can suggest, the safest purchase would be to get a model that supports Postscript. While this does cost more, it will help to avoid any limitations that can occur when using a vendors proprietary printer language, like Canon's UFR2.

  • Are there Any Charting solutions that works with JDeveloper/ADF?

Are there any Charting solutions ( e.g. barchart, piecharts, etc) that works with JDeveloper / ADF ?

This question came up here once before. I think the conclusion is: No, not with vanilla ADF. However, if you're interested, the thread did mention some other library you might want to try.
    Good luck,
