Please don't tell me I get nothing out of giving Skype company access to all of my Facebook data!
Hoping to be able to synch contacts, messages and profile photo at a minimum!!!
Granted I'm using an old android app; will try updating.

I'm using the latest Android version (Lolipop) and there's no sycning option at all. Still I can use my photos on Facebook as my Skype avatar picture.

Is there any way, at all, to play video with H.264 source in Firefox?
I am a developer working on a site that makes heavy use of video. The site navigation and video playback controls run together, so it's important for me to be able to have full control over the videos, however, the videos must be hosted on Vimeo. The information on Firefox support for H.264 is all over the map, though at this point, I am just assuming, for the sake of practicality, that Firefox doesn't support H.264 playback at all. If I can't find a good solution, we are simply going to draw the line at Firefox and not support the browser at all for this site. It would be nice for the site to work on Firefox, but we estimate that less than 6% of our viewers will be using the browser, so it won't be hard to just redirect them to a different browser. Is there any hack, any workaround, anything at all, that I can do to play H.264 video using just the good old standard <video> tag?
hello mattclough, due to patent and licensing issues support for h.264 is not directly built into the browser, instead firefox relies of the capabilities of the operating system or hardware to playback such media content.

My question does it matter if I use a match-any or match-all. I want to match anything in the access-list to classify the traffic correctly

I understand a match-any is an or and a match-all is an and function. Does this apply to an access-list for a class-map?
ThanksIt applies to match statements within the class map. In your case, you're only using one match statement, so there will be no difference between match-all and match-any, no matter how many entries are in the ACL. If your class map had two different ACLs in two different match statements , then the and/or logic of match-all and match-any would come into play.

Request help for synching iPod with iTunes after Windows re-install
I recently reformatted my hard-drive. I have installed iTunes. When I plug in my iPod (old Nano), I get a message asking me to "Erase and Sync" or "Transfer Purchases". My iPod has some purchased songs, and many songs ripped from my CD collection (mp3 format). I would like to have the entire iPod contents populate the new (empty) iTunes library. I am guessing that the Transfer option is the best of the two, but am worried about losing songs, since it would be a lot of work to re-rip the non-purchased songs. Will "Transfer Purchases" transfer all music?
I would appreciate any suggestions, before I proceed. Thanks in advance to any replies.

No it won't, it will only do what it says which is to transfer purchases, it won't transfer non-purchased items.

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod.
The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. As for your purchased songs, the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay. -
Any discount at all for earlier upgrade?
So... we have five phones on our plan. One of the phones, the "master" phone, was upgraded last year to a more recent version of the LG EnV (I think that's the name).
If I'm reading correctly, we can get zero discounts if we were to upgrade that phone to, say, a Droid, even if we also upgraded the plan to include a comprehensive data package. Is that the case?

For the primary line on a 2-year contract - You can upgrade at 12 months (which it sounds like you did), or at 20 months. When you upgrade, you sign a new 2-year contract, but you can upgrade again at 12 months from the start of the new contract. The annual upgrade forfeits your NE2 credit, and there's a $20 processing fee.
For seconday lines (the other lines on your family plan) - You can upgrade at month 20, with no NE2, but also no processing fee. If any of these lines are on a 1 year contract, they can upgrade at month 10. Every line has its own contract, so different lines CAN have different upgrade eligibility dates.
In your case, you may want to call in and ask about a current promotion that allows anyone with a contract end date in 2010 to upgrade to a smartphone at the 2-year pricing.
As far as the chat function, it comes up when a rep is available. Browse around the site for a bit and put things in your shopping cart like you're going to make a purchase, that usually makes it pop up for me. -

3G iphone - version 2.0 - any reason at all to upgrade to 2.0.1?
I honestly know nothing about these updates. All I know is my phone is the same software as when I picked it up at AT&T about 10 days ago. I checked and its on version 2.0
Is there any reason at all for me to risk the 2.0.1 upgrade and what it this upgrade supposed to be for? From what I read on here, its destroying about 50% of the phones out there...The 250 MB update completely replaces the entire software image running the phone. All iPhone3G updates are likely to be 250 MB (or more, depending on how many cool new things are added). All 1st generation updates were around 170 MB, regardless of the nature of the upgrade. Apple does not release patches or incremental updates for the iPhone.
The process goes kinda like this...
Download the new image (the 250 MB download)
Backup the phone (all the user specific stuff, music, videos, apps, settings, logs)
Wipe the phone (preparing the iPhone for upgrade)
Install the new image
Boot the phone on the new image
Replace all the user specific stuff from the backup above.
Reboot the phone again.
It can easily take several hours to do this, depending upon how fast your Internet connection is and how much stuff is on your phone. I have a 15 Mbps internet connection at home so it only took about 5 minutes for me to get the download. But It took over 45 minutes just to do the backup on my phone, then probably another hour or so, before I had my phone back on 2.0.1. Just to find out the update did not fix my bluetooth issue. (release notes would have been nice) Oh well... The phone seems to work somewhat better in general, but I was not really having any problems other than the no bluetooth for voicemail with Plantronics problem. (my wife's Jawbone works fine, btw)
That is why I say "get used to it." Every update will involve the same process... at least. -

when you connect your phone with your computer and use itunes you can click on the phone
and click on an update button
about facebook games then think they are all flash based and iphones cant do flash so thats not possible -
