Any car charger with line level dock RCA outputs?

Hello,
My new car has RCA aux input jacks. I am looking for a car charger that will plug into a standard cigarette lighter type plug that also has the dock line level output with RCA plugs so I can keep the iPod charged and hook it up to RCA. I'm not interested in a headphone jack based RCA plug since that's not the line level out.

Found it cheap! $28.88

  • Simple car charger with line out?

Why do all companies that make iPhone car charges have to complicate things with wireless controllers or controllers built onto the face of the cigarette charger?
I am looking for a iPhone compatible car charger with a line out port on the plug end. Has any one seen anything like this?

I know what you mean. I just purchased one of these http://www.meritline.com/car-charger-data-cable-audio-cable-for-iphone-ipod---p- 38210.aspx . It hasn't come yet, so I don't know if/how well it works, but I'm hoping it solves the problem I'm having with getting speakerphone over my car speakers.

  • Need a car charger with line out for 3g

    Hi,
My Belkin charger works great with the v1 iphone, however, it won't charge the 3g. It appears that the Belkin is using the "firewire" pin for charging which isn't supported by the 3g.
I need somebody to recommend a car charger that will charge the 3g and has a "line out" connection for my car's aux input port.
    Thanks
    Donald

  • IPod won't charge with car charger or on stereo dock..

A couple months ago, my iPod Nano (1st gen) stopped charging with the car charger and my stereo dock for no apparent reason. Is there some sort of setting that got switched in iTunes that prevents it from charging from other sources, besides the computer?
It charges just fine when I connect it to my PC...but it just doesn't charge when I connect it to the car charger, or my stereo dock...
    Thanks in advance.

No, iTunes probably wouldn't be affecting your iPod's charging from anything but a computer.
Have you tried resetting your iPod?
Press and hold the Menu and Select (center) buttons together for about 10 seconds.
If that doesn't seem to work (you might need to try it quite a few times), try taking a look at this:

  • Line level dock for ipod classic

In trying to figure out the best way to connect my ipod classic to my small Denon 30w stereo I've been experimenting. I have an old Apple branded dock I found in a drawer from 2004 when I bought my first Ipod, a 20g 2nd generation Ipod, the first one that came with the clickwheel. It has a line level output in the back, and it seems to work fine with the classic, as a matter of fact, with the Ipods volume and the stereos volume at the same levels it is at least 30-40% louder (and clearer) than using the typical headphone jack connection. But the line level plug on this dock is a little fidgety, bump it and one speaker goes out, you have to jiggle and/or twist the cable just so to recover, obvously it's a loosened connection inside the jack...so I go to Best Buy and get an offbrand dock that comes with a remote that was on clearance (it's a clone of Apples universal dock), it has a line level out as well, looks very much the same as the Apple dock. I assumed that a line level dock from any brand would be the same, since its sending a clean unamplified signal to the stereo (isn't it?), however the quality of the audio coming from this dock was about equal or even worse than the headphone jack, I really have to crank the volume on the stereo to get the same sound, and it just doesnt sound as good. I was surprised, I didnt think there was a lot going on in these docks, just routing the ipods signal to the stereo. Am I wrong here? Will springing $60 for Apples universal dock be the best option?

I connected my ipod classic to my maranz av receiver by apple dock. For best sound it is crucial to connect by dock input not audio out (earphones) ! For that i use apple component AV cable.

now I have aux cable connected to earphone out put and connect USB-dock cable to charge. So I want a charger that can output sound from dock to aux so I only need to connect dock cable.

  • Recommend a Car Charger with FM transmitter

Your profile says you live in California, so unless you live in Humboldt County or somewhere along the eastern Sierra, there are going to be so many FM radio signals clogging the airwaves, you have no shot of a pleasant experience with an FM transmitter. Long ago, back in the early days of XM radio, I had one with an FM transmitter. I was constantly trying to find a good channel, but there was so much bleeding across the spectrum, that it just didn't work. However, watching the faces of people in nearby cars trying to figure out why my music was coming out of their radios was kind of worth it!
Most cars built these days have a AUX input, which gives the best sound. You can install one on almost any modern car using a Blitzsafe adapter. If your car is old enough to have a cassette, you can find an adapter at most electronics stores, and it works good enough.

  • Trouble with Line Level....

This is an odd one, but I'm hopeful.
Last fall I got a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and it has an in line FM modulator to connect my iPod. I haven't used it much but I do know it worked previously. Recenly it's stopped working because the level coming out of the connector seems to be too low; or that is my impression.
    What happens is:
    1) you have to turn the volume up really loud (75-85% max) to listen to anything.
    2) Any time the music gets low (begining of songs, between songs, quite parts, etc) the modulator turns off. Once the level is high enogh again for ~5 seconds it turns back on.
As I said, I know this worked once as I'm using the same iPod and the same play lists. Since the dealer is clueless on this type of thing I'm trying to figure this out myself. What I'm hoping is someone here knows of a way to test the Line-level from the iPod to determin if the volume is coming out ok from there. Or ideally a way to set the volumn that somesfrom the connector.
    Thaks in advance.

You may have already tried this, but the 1st thing I'd do is plug the line into another compatible device, like a boom box or home stereo (you may need some type of cheap adapter). If you don't have one, I'd take the iPod to an Apple store or some other store that sells a lot of accessories and try it on their accessories. One of these methods should help you determine whether the problem is with your iPod.

  • Vision M - In car, charging with USB continuosly

Hi, i checked few post, but did not find anything that can give me clear answer.
I want to keep my visionM in car all the time and charge it thru' USB continously.
Problem is, player is using power faster that charging itself thru' USB, resulting in loss of all power in couple hours.
I use FM transmitter and USB charger ( i tried 4 different kind for better performance)
does anybody have success doing this ? keeping Vision M playing music in car whenever Car is running thru' USB
    THanks
    Ken

Don't use the Generic one as it can damage the player, The cell phone one doesn't output enough juice for it.Can't say about the SanDisk one. The older the battery the less playtime it will output. Age of the battery has more to do with it than use of it. So the charger itself would be my guess. Get either the car charger that is made for the Playstation Portable (a real one) or the one Creative makes. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...duct_id=396047

  • Ipod wont charge with my bose docking station

I just got a Ipod Touch 3rd Gen tp replace my other & now this one is the only thing in my house that wont charge on my Bose docking station.
PLEASE ADVISE, can anyone help & tell if there are any settings that I need to change.
    Thanx

Look at the previous discussions on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This".
You can also try teh standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - restore to factory defaults/new iPod
Sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility.

  • Can i use an old car charger with a usb port to charge my iPhone 5s?

Can I use an old car charger for a not smart phone to charge my iPhone 5s through the usb port?

    Usually you can!
check if the specification of charger (USB output) is 5V (very important) and at least 500mA (more power like 1000mA --> 1A allow you to charge greater devices like iPad)
But personally is not good idea, because in short/long time can damage or reduce the life of battery of your iPhone/iPad etc.
    Bye

  • Any car charger/transmitter combos out there fro the Z

Like it says, I'd like to eliminate the extra wires needed to power and transmit signal to my car radio. I wonder also if the unit can be charged and used at the same time? I know on my laptop, it docks and is unable to be used until removed...

I'm assuming the stereo you have doesn't have audio input(s) I'd stay away from the FM transmitters if you have the option. Do you have a newer car Some stereos are Satelite radio ready and in that case you can get a PAC unit to add a couple of audio inputs. I did this on my car and I'm much more pleased with the results than I was with any of the numerous FM transmitter options I tried.
In terms of charging, when I try to charge my Zen Xtra through a cigarette adapter while I'm playing songs I get annoying humming noises. I didn't spend much time trying to troubleshoot this because the Xtra's battery lasts longer then 99% of my car trips.
    Good luck!
