Any clues for my InDesign crashing in Mountain Lion issue?

I saw a couple of different threads on this same issue but figured I should post my report before trying things that may not apply to me.  (I did trash the prefs already, to zero effect.)
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Honestly, not only is In Design the buggiest program I own, it's easily responsible for more trouble than all other programs I use put together.  With me doing web-based rather than printing-oriented work these days, I am really close to just having someone make PDFs of all my files I care about so I can save the content, and walking away from ID forever. Adobe just doesn't seem to care if it works or not.

That is what I said above and I would argue that a search of this forum shows it's all too typical.
Yes, I did an inplace of upgrade of ML.
No, this particular problem wasn't, something else was.
NO OTHER PROGRAM INCLUDING OTHER CS5 PROGRAMS has had any comparable problems since the upgrade. I'd have made a large cash bet as to which one would, and been right.
So, yes, I think I have good reasons to think InDesign is buggy and worse than other programs I own, including other Adobe programs. Whatever the cause of its latest problem.
Really, this is not helping me get any closer to an answer, having to convince you why I should be a dissatisfied customer and wary of Creative Cloud. If you would care to suggest anything I COULD investigate, I would be happy to do it.
