Any comments for N81 8GB?

Hi,
May I know if anyone have used N81 8GB? How is it? I managed to have a look at the phone, the lower part of the front panel seemed rubber and sponge like...look fragile. The keypad also got 1 layer of rubber stuff...not those solid stuff...
The functions seem attractive. Any comments?

i have it, and tbh i dont find owt wrong with it, keep trying 2 open the 2nd slide (as i had the n95 8gb) then i remember it cant lol, but it all seems ok really,think the music buttons can get annoyin cause u dnt ave 2 add a lot of pressure to activate it so unless its locked music player can turn on

Any Comments for Somebody returning to Java after 4 Years.

I am and was a very good loover of Java. I have been working on Microsoft platform from last 4 Years. I dont know some thing came in my mind and wanted to update my skills of Java again.

after finishing this .. u to member of java...JSP/servlets are Web components and hence their use does not make sense outside of a Web environment , Struts is kind of pass?, and EJBs are business components which have their use only under specific conditions.
All of the above isn't Core Java, and Java is not limited to the above.

N81 8GB Firmware V20.0.056 APAC

I would like to ask when will Nokia release the firmware for APAC region? I've seen the APAC firmware leaked in certain forum however NSU do not have the latest firmware for it yet. It still showing me the latest firmware as V11.0.045

I am really dissapointed with the efficiency of Nokia and I have been a Nokia User since year 2001 (Nokia 3310) and I have bought more than 20 different model. I hope Nokia should take my request into consideration and release it quickly for the APAC region as EURO had their firmware upgraded already. My phone product code is 0554833.

Any solution for missing comments?

For the last week I've had the same publishing problem that everyone else is having. I am getting an error at the end, but the post is published on the site, however comments are totally gone. I've already installed the MobileMe package and the Software Update says that I'm all good.
I'm not willing to turn off the comments for fear of losing the old ones. I've had this site forever but I'm really starting to look into web-based blog sites.
Has anyone heard of any solutions yet?? I'm getting SSOOO frustrated!

Actually, I couldn't find the shortcut (CTRL/Right-click does not display that item), but it is under File>Relocate Masters...
If anyone knows the correct shortcut, please speak up. I'm using a wacom mouse by the way, don't know if that makes a difference.

Changing the case yourself will void the warranty. You are highly likely to cause damage unless you know exactly what you are doing.
Also avoid the 3rd party cases from ebay or places like that as most of them don't fit properly.
A nokia care point can fit original nokia covers for you without voiding the warranty.

As with any kind of product from any company, a new Nokia phone model may be put on sale anything from a couple of weeks to several months from the public and press launch.

so have just tried www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer this unfortunately tells me only available for N96 and the guff iphone...
Symbian-freak suggests www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer/iplayer.wgz but i've had no joy.

Unable to install Ovi Maps 3.1 on N81 8gb

One of my older phones i've recently upgraded it to the latest firmware v11.0.045 RM-179. I've been trying to install the latest ovi maps onto the phone but keep getting the error insufficient disk space. So far I've removed most of the installed demos off the c-drive that i know won't be used, but i've only managed to get upto 8mb free from a whopping 25mb c-drive!!
There isn't a c-drive cleanup program like we have on the N97 either. I've installed DrJukka to see what's on the z-drive but i've no idea what to clean up. I've removed all cache and privacy stuff from internet too.
Anyone out there have any positive ideas on how i can free up some more disk space?

I am unable to get the free navigation working on my N81 8GB. I have tried multiple times to format and load nokia maps which loads maps 3.1 on the mobile phone. I am doing this using Map updater and map loader. Whenever I start a navigation the phone needs to go online to the shop and then takes me to the page to purchase a 1 month or 1 year subscription.
When the navigation is free then why pay.
I purchased a bluetooth gps device to connect to my phone so that I could use the free navigation but cannot use it.
Can I get the ovi maps 3.3 sis for mobile by email. I have been trying to get the free navigation for almost 2 months after purchase of the phone.

And is there any Wi-Fi?And is the screen bigger than N72? And one of my friends is saying that there is a problem with the buttons(the numbers) like they are messed up and when he puts it in his pocket the button get pressed.

the 8gig is internal memory (hard drive) and you don't have a slot for another memory card...only the new n96 has that accessibilty and it has 16 gig internal hard drive...the screen is quite big...and the keys are not a problem 4 me....

Nokia N81 8GB Synced with iTunes not refreshing mu...

My Nokia N81 8GB was synced with iTunes, I told it to refresh and it found 1500 tunes, it proceeded to crash and after a reset it won't find anything! It took 5 hours for the transfer so I don't really want to do it again, on the off-chance it will work.

Music files need to go into Music or My Music
otherwise they are not found by the music player.
If the files are in these locations and you still can't refresh the Music Library then you may have a corruption in the Music Library.
If this is the case then the best option would be to rename the folder called Private in the Mass memory to Private_old or whatever.
Then try it again.
Also test that all the other applications are working.
In case something else breaks then you can restore the folder.
