I absolutely need to use a thermal printer Toshiba under Lion. Anyone knows of drivers made for B852R to run on Mac?

Let me give you a word of advice: Windows 7 is not on the market as yet and so there are no drivers for Windows 7 available. Thats all!!
You can try the Vista drivers because the most of them also work on Windows 7 but this is all at the moment what you can do.

OpenGL driver for Toshiba Satellite C660-1J2 ?

Adobe After Effects always crash on startup.
It says it cannot initialize OpenGL and that I should contact the manufacturer of the Graphics adapter.
So I contact Intel because I got a Intel Hd Graphics adapter but they say the driver I already have is custom tuned for Toshiba. So I search on Toshiba but cannot really find any useful link.
Should I install OpenGL manually or can I disable it somehow without starting After Effect?
How do I installOpenGl manually?
I have downloaded the latest Graphics adapter driver from you but it doesn't help.
All I want to do is to start a popular Adobe product so I believe many people have this problem.

OpenGL is a standard API for writing software for 2D or 3D computer graphics.
OpenGL is an open source product but DirectX is released by Microsoft and mostly DirectX is part of the graphic card driver and not OpenGL.
However, you cannot download and install OpenGL to use it within the graphic card driver the OpenGL needs to be implemented in the driver
Mostly its done by graphic card manufacture.
Therefore you will need to check the Intel page to get an driver from Intel which supports OpenGL because the notebook supports the Intel (HM55) HD graphics.

NI does not have a driver and a quick check with Agilent shows that they don't have a driver either.
You can go to http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/ and request a driver. You will also find links on how to create your own driver. Your other option is to use the Instrument I/O Assistant.
p.s. In the future, you should use the Instrument control board for posting questions. this board is for NI counter/timer products.

CUPS Driver for Brother MFC-J270w Printer

Howdy, y'all.
Just wondering if anybody could help me find a .ppd version of the Brother MFC-J270w printer driver? Not available through the default packages (didn't show up in the CUPS interface) and the versions of the drivers on the Brother website are .rpm and .deb versions.
I bought this printer because there was a great deal at Best Buy, and now I am sadfacin'.

Where on the Wiki does it say you can't use the CD-ROM? Just would like to read it myself for reference.
I'm taking another look at what else comes with the .ppd file. There appears to be a shell script you can run in the PARTS directory that acts as the install tool (not very well named if nothing else). Looks like it also expects you to have made the brcupsconf-whatever file that is in the third directory in the tar file. Unfortunately, I think it's expecting the printer to be hooked up via USB, could be wrong though.
I don't know if you've already configured this printer before or if it's out-of-the-box never-been-touched and you're trying to install it to work wirelessly. Duh alert: the first time you install/configure the printer you HAVE to do it via USB, at least that was my experience. I did it through Windows, however, and it readily acquired all the wireless network information it needed that way. I'm guessing if this is really a new printer that hasn't been configured before, and you can't configure its wireless any other way, that might be what you have to do.
Short version: I'd say reconsider the tar file where you got the ppd file from, check the other two directories. Also, you may have to have the printer hooked up via USB if it's the first time you're setting it up.

By the way; the VAP (value added package) for Win 7 enables and controls the Toshiba control buttons

Mac USB driver for Toshiba Thrive

I just bought a Toshiba Thrive to develop mobile apps. Flex does not recognize the device through USB.
I can't find a USB driver anywhere on the web.
Any advice to get this going, or do I have to return the Thrive?
Anyone else have mac USB problems with other tablets ?

My workaround was slightly different in that it didn't involve terminal commands, here's how:
– download Pacifist at charlessoft.com
– download combo updater 10.4.9 (couldn't find the separate applusbaudio kext anywhere, so this was needed) at Apple swupdate
– open the .pkg combo updater in Pacifist
– navigate to /system/library/extensions (within Pacifist)
– option-click on appleusbaudio.kext and choose to install to default location
– to be safe, remove the extensions cache file on your harddrive (found in /system/library) and empty trash
– reboot.
Now I have a fully working RP-U200, without any problems. Haven't tried on Leopard yet, this was on a tibook with 10.4.11. Will check when upgrading this machine and report on this board.
Now if anybody could hint me how to hack the Audio Midi setup to enable 6 channel sound via USB output, I would be really happy. The RP-U200 hardware should support that very nicely. It's a great device. Too bad Yamaha ceased development.

10,000rpm hard drive for toshiba satellite

i was wondering if there was anyway to replace my current hard drive with a velociraptor hard drive. i know western digital makes a 2.5in hard drive and wanted to trick out my toshiba satellite L505D-S5965.

Any printer driver for Canon ip4200 using OS 10.9.4?

Bummed that I can't use my perfectly good printer (and new supply of ink) with Mavericks 10.9.4

Gutenprint allows printing in the PIXMA iP4200, it's true, but there are no options for checking ink levels, calibrating print heads, or doing any type of maintenance or service on the machine anymore. And on the printing, it has 12 sub-levels of "fine tuning" but messing with any one of them results in printing an all-black sheet (wasting 1/5 of the black tank) so the only option left for print adjustments is "fast normal". Everything else doesn't work.
I don't know if this is a Canon issue, or another massive Apple ****-up with this new operating system.

With the limited information you provided, it's rather impossible to know what updates may exist for you. Not knowing what OS you are on, it's rather impossible to know if there is anything newer for you. Rather, we can guide you to finding out for yourself if any exist.
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:

It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

Drive for Headphone Bluetooth

I have bluetooth headphones Andoer Ma-826-2.
Where can I find the drive for these headphones pc toshiba qosmio G 50 12 Q asks me to install the drive but that 'the producer has planned.
In fact in the manual for the connection does not speak of installation of the drive.
While the PC asks them to me.

The driver was made for Windows Vista not Windows 7, so it didn't work well on my Notebook!

Since the touchpad driver does not depend on notebook model you could use touchpad driver released for any notebook model
Please take a look into other Toshiba notebook driver areas.
But to be honest I doubt that mentioned touchpad behaviors are real touchpad driver bugs.
First of all its nothing unusual that an applications (no matter what application) would need some time to load at the beginning of the boot procedure it depends on the amount of applications which are loaded at the beginning
So wait a moment until the touchpad software has finished loading process and then use the touchpad

2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
