Any description on how to use the Text Editor used for this Forum?

I am very frustrated when trying to use the text Editing functions (without use of HTML, that I do not undertstand) that can be used to create Posts in this Forum .
Can somebody point me to a good description of the Text Editor used to enter/edit Posts in this Forum? Thanks a lot in advance.

Thank You very much for your answer.
Based on your answer, I guess and fear, that there exist no "user guide" for this Text Editor.
I will wait a little bit more to see whether I get more information/answers. If not, i will probably write a "Feature Request" to request that Adobe provides us or point us to a reasonable User-Guide for this Text Editor.

HT1725 I purchased a album of various artist, however some of the songs did not download, an error message saying something about not having proper information to download??? any thoughts on how I get the songs I paid for but did not download?

After purchasing a album of TV Theme songs, during the download some of the themes would not load, an error message came up saying to the effect I did not have the correct info to download. Does anyone know about this issue & any thoughts on how I aquire the themes I paid for? The themes that did not load still show up in the music list but are greyed out & have an "!" exclamation mark beside the number of the item in the list.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Using rich text editor (RTE) for custom applications

Our users enter texts on two places:
1) In Oracle Portal in text-items using the Rich Text Editor.
2) In text-fields in a custom application using html-tags <textarea>blabla</textarea>. For formatting the users currently have to type in html-tags themselves. Now we want to provide them an html-editor.
We would prefer to use the Rich Text Editor also for the custom application. However, that is integrated in Portal and the java-scripts are not easy to follow.
Have you tried something similar? So, did you use the Rich Text Editor for your own application? If yes, how?
If not, a very good alternative would be the qwebeditor (see http://www.qwebeditor.com). Did anybody replace the standard Portal rich text editor with the qwebeditor? In the Portal guides there are instructions about replacing the Portal rich text editor by another editor, but it is not clear if this will also work with the qwebeditor.

I have configured FCKeditor in a few clients, and the process it's pretty straight forward, you can use the steps in the document (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/pdf/cm_rte_1014_features.pdf) .
Basically you download FCKeditor and put it in your apache server (you can put it unde rthe htdocs folder) after that, all you need to do is modify $ORACLE_HOME/portal/images/webword/buildUIHTML.html to reference the FCKeditor JS and CSS, and you can do the same type of reference for your custom apps.

I want to trap the following exceptions into an error table using pl/sql
1. same person having multiple code
example

Could you please help me how to capture the exceptions above using pl/sql
and what will be the structure of error table. it should capture eff date & end date

Hi,
Fingerprint scanners are not popular enough devices to be supported by Java yet. There's no general API or Java interface for it.
Each manufacturer of a fingerprint device will probably just ship their own drivers or SDKs. More than likely DLL's, so you'd need to write some JNI to call them.
If you want to allow your application to work with multiple devices, you will have to design it to do that. Ie. write a general "Fingerprint" interface, and write a class which implements that interface for each device you want to support.
Eg.

How to wrap the text in JTextPane

I have a problem with JTextPane. I have a JPanel which have 4 JButtons, one Details button and one JTextPane. I have set JTextPane to JScrollPane. Thing is when i press the Details button the JTextPane must be visible. Window size is changing. can any one say how to wrap the text in the JTextPane.

By default text in a JTextPane will wrap, so I don't understand the question.

I have enhanced standard master datasource , How to load the Text for it?

I had enhanced 0MATERIAL_ATTR with ZTGRM field.User exit is written and the data is populated and checked in RSA3.
Replicated,loaded in BW side.Activated the master data.It shows only the attribute not the text.
Tried loading 0material_text and loaded successfully, activated but while maintaining the master data , i can able to see only the attribute values not the text.
Can any one help how to load the text for the enhanced attribute?

! is needed only when configuring a data source in the mapViewerConfig.xml file.

You canr use text modules in script. You have to use standard texts .
Standard text are maintained in SO10 transaction.
you can create translation text for other languages also . So based on logon language it will print translation text.
go to SO10
give textname it say Ztextname id as ST and language as EN
say create, then you will get editor there maintain your text and save it . then come back . Now change language (say for german DE) say create and eneter translation text and save it.
so now you have created a text called ztextname which you can use in your script.
Inorder to insert the texts in your script do as below
go to any window editor and select path
Insert->texts->symbols->standard symbols
then you will get popup in which you have to mention all the parameters that you have created earlier.
after inserting just change language EN to sy-langu

There are a few ways to do it. If you need to take all of the text in the text type, in your SF text element choose "Include Text".
Populate the fields with the data that corresponds to the text type. It is similar to the interface to the FM "Read_Text.

If you have already coded the call to the FM "READ_TEXT" and loaded the text into an internal table, create a loop and loop through the itab. Inside of the loop create a text element and add a variable in the text element for the field you are looking to output.

Answer: you need something unique in that object you can get a handle on.
Or you use the selection a user of your script is doing and work with that selection…
A "scrollable frame" is nothing special. What it makes it a "scrollable frame" is the DPS software.
So you have to look for attached labels on the object, that identify the object for the PDS plug-in "Overlay Creator" as a "scrollable frame". That's possible with the "extractLabel("KeyString")" function. But you need to know the appropriate key-string in advance.
In another of your thread in the DPS forum, I basically answered the question how to obtain those key-strings.
When knowing the key-string you could loop through all your page items (you can skip all text frames) in the allPageItems-collection, to identify the "scrollable frame" by extracting the right label.
If you have more than one "scollable frames" you need a second unique identifier for the particular object.
That could be nearly any property.
Keep in mind, there is no "scrollableFrames" collection in the DOM !

I have started with writing c code on mac using xcode .....but one of my friend told me to use gcc for coding.
Why? If you are developing and writing code on a Mac why would you not use the tools Apple has given you? And Xcode, once you get use to it, is a very nice development environment that will make you life a whole lot easier.
If you insist on using an editor and the terminal I would recommend Emacs but it has a long learning curve so something like TextWrangler will work too.
As for the compiler if you have Xcode installed install the command line tools and you will be able to compile from the terminal.

For PO there will be Header Texts and Item texts.
For header texts just Take the PO number as TDNAME.
for Item texts Conactenate the PO number and Item Number and use as TDNAME.
in ME23N Go to any text.Double click on it
It will take you to text editor.
GOTO-> header
it will display the TEXT ID,TEXTNAME,LANG and TEXT OBJECT etc
Similarly for every text you will find and use;
