Any difference in a 6x vs. and 8x Superdrive?
I won't use the drive much for writing DL DVDs, so here's the question.
For ripping CDs into iTunes, is there a difference in the 6x Superdrive installed in the MacBook Pro and the 8x Superdrive installed in the PowerBook G4s?
Thanks
If you're ripping then much of the difference comes down to the ability of iTunes and the processor(s) to process the information being retrieved rather than simply looking at the read speed of a drive. Not to mention if you're ripping CDs the DVD read speed is of zero value. What you need to look at and compare is the CD read speed.
In any case, the MBP's ability to process and encode the ripped data should make it a much better choice than a PB in this case.

Is there any difference in SAP 4.7 and ECC 5.0
Dear,
Is there any difference in SAP 4.7 and ECC 5.0...
Thanx & Regards,
Mohammad NabiHi,
Check this out
Hi I'm providing the ECC 6.0 functionality if you knows the
4.7EE the difference is as follows:
ECC 6.0 New GL Functionality
1.Activate the New General Ledger Accounting by a single
click on the clock icon
2.You will reach to change view "activation of New GL A/cg"
detail screen and tick the checkbox and save.
3. After activation of New General Ledger Accounting, you
exit the IMG screen when you re-enter, you find that a new
node is added Financial Accounting (New)
4.After activation of New General Ledger Accounting; a new
sub node appears in the IMG structure.
This sub node is Define Segment
The menu path is:
SAP Customizing IMG ---> Enterprise Structure -
>
Definition --> Financial Accounting --> Define Segment
In this IMG activity, you define your segments.
If you then define your profit centers, you can enter an
associated segment in the master record of a profit center.
The segment is then derived from the assigned profit center
during posting.
5. Activation has created a new field in Profit Center
Master Record: the SEGMENT
6.Leading and Non- Leading Ledgers
In General Ledger Accounting, you can use several Ledgers
in parallel. This allows you to produce financial
statements according to different accounting principles. A
ledger uses several dimensions from the totals table it is
based upon. When defining Ledgers, one must be defined as
the Leading Ledger. The Leading Ledger is based on the same
accounting principles as that of the consolidated financial
statements. It is integrated with all subsidiary ledgers
and is updated in all company codes. This means that it is
automatically assigned to all company codes. In each
company code, the Leading Ledger receives exactly the same
settings that apply to that company code : the currencies,
the fiscal year variant and posting period variant .
You must designate one of your ledgers as the Leading
Ledger. It is not possible to designate more than one
ledger as the leading ledger.
The menu path is:
SAP Customizing IMG -
> Financial Accounting (New) -
>
Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
> Ledgers ---
-> Ledger -
> Define Ledgers for General Ledger
Accounting
Clicking on the checkbox identifies one of your ledgers as
the Leading Ledger.
7. Activation of Non Leading Ledgers
Non Leading Ledgers are parallel ledgers to the Leading
Ledger . They can be based on local accounting principle,
for example. You have to activate a non- Leading Ledger for
individual company codes. Non- Leading Ledgers can have
different fiscal year variants and posting period variants
per company code to the Leading Ledger of this company
code.
The menu path is :
SAP Customizing IMG -
> Financial Accounting ( New ) -
> Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
> Ledgers -
---> Ledger -
> Define and Activate Non --Leading
Ledgers
8.Assign scenarios to ledgers
A Scenario combines Customizing settings from different
business views. Each business view specifies which posting
data is transferred from different application components
in General Ledger Accounting, such as cost Center update or
Profit Center update .You assign the desired scenarios to
your ledgers. For each ledger, you define which fields are
filled with posting data from other application components.
SAP delivers a number of scenarios in the standard system.
It is not possible to create additional scenarios.
The menu path is:
SAP Customizing IMG -
> Financial Accounting (New) -
> Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
> Ledgers -
--->Fields -
> Display Scenarios for General Ledger
Accounting.
9. Cost of sales accounting
Cost of sales accounting is a way to create a profit and
loss statement (P&L) for a company by comparing the
revenues to the costs or expenses incurred to obtain these
revenues.
The expenses are mainly divided by functional area such as:
Manufacturing
Administration
Sales
Research and Development
We can activate Cost of Sales Accounting by the following
menu path :
SAP Customizing IMG -
> Financial Accounting ( New ) -
-> Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
>
Ledgers ->Ledger---> Activate Cost of Sales Accounting
Offsetting Account Report ECC 5.0
Offsetting account report for vendors in ECC 5.0 is
possible after implementing the OSS Note 1034354
Reward if helpful.

I did not find any difference from my iPad 2 and iPad 3?
I did not find any difference from my iPad 2 and my iPad 3, I am wondering did they sell me the same iPad
Look at the model number on the back of the box and enter that number into a Google search. That will tell you wich model you have.
The new iPad comes in a box that simply says iPad on it so you can probably rest assured that you did receive the new iPad, but do the Google search if it makes you feel better.

Is there any difference in quality between mp4 and m4v?
Is there any difference in quality between mp4 and m4v? I am figuring out how best to save old VCR files. Is the 264 category the best?
So, what would that software be? Anything that I mentioned, e.g., iMovie? Any Video Converter?
I'm a Mac user so I want files that play "natively" in QT X, QT 7, QL, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, and/or TV players. This means I want the H.264/AAC compressed data in MOV, MP4, or M4V file containers. I can use QT 7 Pro, MPEG Streamclip, and /or QT X to move MPEG-4/AAC compressed data to MOV file containers, MPEG Streamclip to movie M4V and MOV MPEG-4/AAC data to MP4 file containers, and Subler to move MP4 or MOV MPEG-4 AVC/AAC/AC3/Chapter data to M4V file containers. This is strictly a simple "copy" operation and no recompression of data is involved. (I.e., the quality is not changed.)
iMovie is a video editor and it forces an export conversion of your project once completed which can degrade quality. Have never used the Any Video Converter so I don't know if it has an audio and/or video "passthrough" feature for data already in a compatible compression formats. If it doesn't then any conversion it makes has the potential to degrade video content.
As to AVI, this is a legacy file container abandoned by Microsoft a dozen years ago in favor of their modernized WMV compression format/file type products. Compared to MKV, AVI is an outmoded/out-of-date container which I don't recommend you use unless you are a glutton for punishment. However, if you must use it, then you might try the AvidMux app. It can "copy" compatible content to a number of file container types—including AVI and MKV. Just don't blame me if its use creates more problems than it solves on current Mac systems. -
Is there any difference between the commerical product and the Teacher/Student version?
In Adobe Photo Shop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 is there any difference between the commerical product and the Teacher/Student version? I don't remember them having two versions in the past.
Is there a difference? Sure. Will it be noticable? Maybe.
The 9i client will use one of the 9i ODBC drivers. The 8i client will use one of the 8i ODBC drivers. The 9i drivers will generally have more bug fixes & more features than the 8i drivers. It is possible, though rare, that the 9i drivers will fix a bug whose behavior your application was dependent on and/or introduce bugs that were not in the earlier version. Of course, you have to consider the different features of the underlying clients as well-- i.e. a 9.2 Oracle client cannot communicate with a 7.3.4 database, an 8i client doesn't know how to handle data types introduced in 9i (i.e. TIMESTAMP), etc.

JSF datatable - any difference with JSF 1.1 and JSF 1.2
Hi All,
In my project there are lot of Datatables, which retrieve data from the database and display it to the user. For each datatable, the columns are not fixed. I want to create some kind of component that can be reusable.
It is basically a JSF portlet. Now i have to use RAD 6. RAD 6 supports only JSF1.1. I have to migrate this to RAD7 in the near future. Are there any differences between the Datatable in JSF 1.1 and JSF 1.2?
I had this approach in mind.
a) Create the datatable programmatically and put the contents to panelgrid. This way the jsp code will be minimized. Is it a good option.? Are the APIs same in both the versions?
b) Is it possible to create a custom datatable which can take some key as input. Then based on the key the datatable can be populated with as many columns as desired.
Please let me know if there are any other good options.
~Anitha.Hi guys,
my code goes like this..
for (int j = 0; j < size; j++) {
UIColumn column = new UIColumn();
dataTable.getChildren().add(column);
HtmlOutputText header = new HtmlOutputText();
header.setValue(periodHeader[j]);
column.setHeader(header);
HtmlOutputText output = new HtmlOutputText();
output.setValue(new Double(periodLiability[j]));
ValueBinding vb1 = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance()
.getApplication().createValueBinding(
("#{liability.periodLiability["+j+"]}"));
output.setValueBinding("value", vb1);
column.getChildren().add(output);
this code gives me the number of headers i need. But, it doesnt render the columns. I have an array of Double (periodLiability) which stores few values of Double type. I want to show thesee values inthe dataTable Column.
Please help me.. -

Set @var= (Select TestName+ cAst(TestId as nvarchar) from TblTest where TestID=1)
Insert into TblTest(TestName)
Values (@var)
Declare @var nvarchar(Max)
Select @var= (Select TestNAme + Cast(TestId as Nvarchar(MAx)) from TblTest Where TestID=1)
Insert into TblTest(TestName)

Values and result I am getting is Same in Both.
But just wondering if there is any Difference. and if Any which Should I prefer.

The are any difference between the late 2008 and early 2009 15' MacBook Pro
Hello,
This is my first post here so I salute you all. I would like to know if there is any difference between the 15 inch MacBook Pro produced at the end of 2008 and the one produced AFTER iLife 09 has been launched (at the beginning of 2009). I see that the declarations of conformity are a little bit different: http://images.apple.com/euro/compliance/pdf/M98EMC_IntE_EuroDoC.pdf vs http://images.apple.com/euro/compliance/pdf/M98AIntE_EuroDoC.pdf (see the Emissions and wireless radio equipment sections). I don't know if those declarations are relevant and if the fact that they complies with different standards and/or directives means that the hardware is different... What do you think?
Just a little note: I am NOT talking about the late 2009 17' version. I'm referring only at the 15' versions produced before and after the launch of iLife09
Message was edited by: vamistHi, I think I know why Apple is able to offer 8gb ram support on the revised 2.66 MBP and not on the 2.53 or 2.4 MBP.
Take a look at this:
15'' 2.4-2,53 NVDA Chipset
http://s1.guide-images.ifixit.com/igi/oEmmaxSOKDDvZfZh.large
17'' NVDA Chipset
http://s1.guide-images.ifixit.com/igi/SSLSgODWYbiIuTLL.large
There are TWO different revisions. The first is B2 and the latter is B3.
I think that the former does not support 8GB of RAM and the latter does. That explains why the 17'' has support and now the NEWs 15'' also have, Apple gave the 15'' not only a speed bump but also the newer revision of the chipset! -

Is there any difference between a WinNT VI and a Win98 VI?
Hello!
I have been writing a VI using Labview 6.1 on a WinNT machine. When I build it into an application and place it on a machine running the run-time engine and Win98, it doesn't work.
It works fine on the NT machine, but not on the 98 machine. I've read where you should be able to transfer between the different Win versions, so I'm at a loss to explain why there would be any difference in the two.
Thanks,
Dave Neumann
[email protected]Oops. I guess my question was awfully open-ended wasn't it?
OK, here's the deal.
The VI I created is simply trying to toggle outputs on a digital I/O card. Nothing complicated.
On the WinNT machine, I can toggle the outputs. When I set them high, I see a high voltage from the card. It remains high until I switch it low, when the voltage drops. This is good.
On the Win98 machine, I attempt to toggle the output high, and I hear the click of a relay, and a short current spike, but the voltage does not remain high. When I switch back to low I get no response back at all. The voltage remains low the entire time, with a small impulse jump when I try to set it high.
We assume that the card is switching high, then immediately switching low ag
ain, not holding the high state.
The card on the Win98 machine, however, DOES work with the software included with the card, so we know it can toggle it's outputs.
The Win98 and WinNT machines are nearly identical in their components, with the exception of their OS.
The card I'm attempting to use is a Quatech PXB-32IO/PCI I/O card.
Hope this clears it up a little!
Thanks for the help,
Dave Neumann

Hello experts,
I have a question regarding laptop gaming performance.
I have HP Pavilion G6 2005ax with AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) graphics. But gaming performance is not awesome. It's not capable to run latest PC game at highest settings.
My question is that Is there any difference between AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) and AMD 7640g + 7670m (2.5 GB) graphics cards performance...?
One graphics card hase 7670m 1GB and second one has 7670m 2GB graphics RAM.
So which one perform better and why....?
Should I upgrade AMD 7670m 1GB to AMD 7670m 2GB to play latest pc games at highest settings.....?

Hi,
Same GPU but more RAM will perform better. You have to make decision before hand, upgrading it is a pain.

The new update has a scroll feature on it to make it easier to search for songs on your ipod. It also lets you control the maximum volume your ipod can reach. It has better video quality as well. It lets you play games on your ipod (you have to download them from the Muisc Store)
and thats about it! Have fun with your new ipod!
