Any discount for longtime customers/Senior(s)!?

I chat on line yesterday, trying to find a way to lower my skyrocketing Xfinity bill! Liza was very nice but could not provide a break in the monthly billing. Xfinity is charging 10 bucks for HD Tech Fee, they must be kidding! it shoud be free for Senior!. Anyone got a nice 10 to 20 percent off their mounting TV bill? Every 2 to 3 months, they add a dollar here, a dollar there... I am now at almost 200 dollars a month for a digital starter with digital preferrred (I might cut this one, 18 bucks a month) and I have internet with them. Cannot get any channels without cable, it just sucks. I wonder how much is the salary of the top guy at Xfinity, definitely not a Social Security monthly benefits!Best

Again wrote: According to this post there is no senior discount.Unfortunately, "Comcastcares" posts are sometimes, ummmm, "incomplete". A few areas have negotiated small senior discounts. See, for example, the city of Seattle "Office of Cable Communications" page at http://www.seattle.gov/cable/faq.htm which says:Q: Are there discounts for senior citizens or disabled people? A. Yes. Comcast provides a discount of approximately $5 off of the monthly rate for any tier of cable television service for low income seniors, low income disabled, and people living in non-Section 8 subsidized housing.Retraitee, it would probably be best for to check with your local franchise authority. Contact information should appear on your Comcast bill.

Possibly if your company has an agreement with Apple and the machine is purchased through the company. Otherwise, no.

Is there any discount for developer? or another?

There once was... but I don't think it's in place any longer. Employee, student - those are the only two that I am aware of.

• Is there any discount for apple apps for students?

Hello,
I am a student. I need to use Final Cut pro and Page, keynote and other apps. I can get all the apps free from my friends.
But, as far as I know, it breaks copyright law. I want to be 100% legal.
But it is impossible for me to efford that much money to buy them. So, does Apply give any discount for the students?
Please help me dear friends...

So, If I buy Motion 5, I will get it for life time. Even I can get updates all the time...
Again, it depends on where you get it and how Apple continues to sell it. If you buy from the Mac App Store, then as long as Apple doesn't make some future version a new, separate app, then you would be able to get all future upgrades. But Apple could decide to release some future version of Motion as a new app in which case, as deggie said, you will have to buy it again. There's no way to know, and Apple can't/won't tell you so there's no point in contacting Apple Support on the issue.

Apple does not offer educational discounts on the iPhone. I don't know what you mean by "app for Apple".

Other than free shipping for orders over $99.99 i don't know, only Creative customer services will be able to tell you that, unless they have already stated a discount on their on-line shop.

• Any Discount For International Student

Hi
I'm an International Student and I want to buy an iPad with Retina Display 16GB Wifi + Cellular. Is there any discount? Any free accessories come along?
By the way, I have some more questions before buying:
1. Is it a world version? Can I use it in every country?
2. I'm from Vietnam so can I use wifi + cellular model in Vietnam? How about data plans for iPad?
3. I just need to buy a micro SIM and I can use data plans when there is no wifi even in my country (Vietnam), rite?
4. Can I claim any refund when I go to the airport?
Hmm...I think that's all I want to know
Thanks for your help

There are no student discounts on iPads the last I checked.

• Discounts for B2B customers

Hi,
I have tried to get my head around this but to no avail.
How do Discounts work for B2B customers?
suppose I have a B2B customer with a 10% discount. Where is that information stored in Netpoint? I could not find a field in the Account tables that refers to it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Bryce,
Just to clarify the situation and explain why syncing pricelist via the syncmaster is not good for me:
We have about 9,000 items in our database.
There are 22 pricelists already so that's about 188,000 entries already in ITM1.
This takes about 11 hours to sync with Netpoint, because it does everything one item at a time. I can't delete most of these pricelists because they are genuinely in use, we have suppliers in several currencies and that kind of thing.
Now, I have 5 of these pricelists which are actual Sales Pricelists.
I have 9 distinct discount "bands" (1.5,2.5,5,7.5,10,10.5,12.5,15 and 20) and I have customers attached to all these pricelists who have these discounts. So that means I need to create 45 new pricelists. (well ok, there are gaps but sometimes discounts change from month to month so to be safe I need 45. It's a scary world dealing with Government agencies
So now I will have 405,000 ITM1 entries, taking over a day to sync. And God forbid something should happen mid sync, as you know before it syncs it deletes the PartsPricing table so if anything goes wrong, you have to start all over again...
I know I could do it once and then go with the "With Parent Object" option but then I have to ask myself, what happens if a customer gets a contract with us for maybe an 8% discount? I have to go make a new pricelist, wait another day to sync the pricing again, etc. At least by doing it "explicitly" on the server it would be faster than syncing over the Internet.
But even if the sync only took 5 minutes, I still object to the solution in principle - because it means I have to litter up my B1 with all these pricelists that are essentially a workaround for a very basic thing - the ability to give an arbitrary discount on a given Sales Order.
So it ends up being a hack no matter what way I look at it, for example even if I do manage this, how do I show a B2B customer the total discount they are receiving on their order, for example?
Sorry for the long rant but as I'm sure you can understand, sometimes the little things you take for granted are what stops you in your tracks. In this case, the missing functionality has basically taken this project from the brink of deployment back to nearly square one.

• Any discounts for non-profit institutions?

Some software, hardware and services companies offer discounts for non-profit groups, and I'm wondering if the Apple Online store, the App store, the iTunes store, offer discounts for such sales for use in non-profit institutions?

Apple isn't here. This is a user to user tech support forum. Best answered by a direct conversation with Apple.

• Are there any discount for apple? I would like to buy the iphone 5s without contract but it seems too expensive

is there any way to get a discount on an iphone 5s ,esp one bought without contract?

The only discounts are through the carriers themselves, in exchange for you agreeing to a contract term. It's not really a discount as much as it is simply distributing the cost of the phone over the period of the contract - the carriers still make their money on the phone in the end.
Its not unlike T-Mobiles new update anytime or AT&T's new deal - pay the whole price upfront and never have a contract, or effectively (with AT&T) finance the price of the phone over a year's worth of payments. No matter how you slice it, you still end up, one way or another, paying essentially the full retail price of the phone.
(I particularly dislike T-Mobile's current ads - anyone with any carrier could always upgrade "whenever they want" as long as they paid rull retail price for the handset - nothing at all new with T-Mobile's latest "deal").

• What's the difference between educational and the discount for existing customers

i am both a student and an existing customer. the price would be the same for me with the new promotion. which would be a better route to sign up as? with the existing-customer discount my understanding is that the price will go up after a year. what happens in the educational version after a year? are there any other differences i should know about?

Hi Mrtunes,
I'm not seeing any kind of noteworthy difference.
Here is a screen shot of the billing terms for signing up for the educational route (US store)

• Is there any discount for iPads when buying iMac?

My wife and I are purchasing an iMac in the near future and we would like to get an iPad. We both have macbook pros, and when we purchased them (a few years ago) we both vaguely remember promotion that discounted iPads. We are both students and plan to use the student pricing on the iMac. Thanks!

There are no educational discounts on the iPad for individual purchasers. If you buy your iMac and iPad from an independent dealer, though, you may be able to negotiate something, and that may end up being less expensive overall than buying the iMac with Apple's educational discount.

• New discounts for existing customers

Hi
Just curious?? Has anyone that was already a More Everything plan subscriber and previously paid full price for their smartphone started to see smartphone access fee discounts like those enrolled in the Edge purchase plan?

I'm not sure anyone has seen those discounts yet since this started April 17th and it's unlikely anyone has gotten a bill yet. My account does show the MORE Everything Month to Month Promotion when I go to Change Features, choose one of my non-contract phones, then View All My Features and Services

• Student discount for new customer?

Hello Everyone,
My friend is planning to open new account for their family. She wondering if Verizon have student discount for new customers?
And is it for her bill or the total bill that's discounted? Also she heard If one of her family used to have a Verizon phone does she get a $50 gift/rebate card?
Thank you

The person needs to check with the school district they work for to see if they give anything for using verizon. Most of the school districts where I live do if you sign with verizon as my husband is a teacher and we get 20% off just the main account holder's line which is him. You just have to provide a recent paystub as proof and give them a work email address but you have to do this through verizon. Amazon I have no clue so would have to ask them about any special rebates they are running. Have never bought a phone from them but check the contract you sign with amazon as it's a separate one from the one you sign for verizon service so you should be aware of what they require. Mary
