Hi,
it seems to be a JRE Problem. When I use the Kerberos implementation from "Vintela Single Sign-On for Java" I can establish a "aes256" secured LDAP connection to the AD Server.
This LDAP connection allows to change the passwords of the users stored in the AD.
The problem is that "Vintela Single Sign-On for Java" is not free, so it would be nice to have a solution which works with the Kerberos implementation of the JRE.
The error is the same for "aes128" and "aes256" encryption.
And with Wireshark I can not see any differences in the packets send to the AD and received from the AD.

When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)

It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

  • Recommendations for Internet security package with lion?

Any recommendations fro an Internet security package with lion?

Seems to me you are getting limited replies about Mac OSX security and viruses. Internet security can also be about safe surfing and being warned the safety and suitability of web sites. Also you may be running applications, like Microsoft Office, on your iMac which may have similar weakness and vulnerabilities to the Windows office suite. Although many nastys you may get via macros and e-mail are aimed at messing up Windows, there are others which aim to steal personal information or can be used to infect others when you send files or mail onwards. While I believe Mac OS itself is probably better protected than Windows, I think it may still worth extra protection and warnings about web sites. etc. which you get from Internet Security Packages such as Norton or Mcafee (which is good for the mac).

  • Secure LDAP with Multiple DPS's on Single Physical Server

I am having an issue connecting to the directory server over SSL via the directory proxy server. I have enabled SSL and tested successfully in some situations, however this situation is unique.
    DPS 5.2 patch 4
    Directory Server patch 4
I have applied the neccessary hotfixes from sun to resolve the SSL issues.
There are 3 physical servers. 2 of those servers each have 2 instances of directory proxy server running. The 3rd server has 2 separate Directory Server instances running (1 for enterprise authentication, 1 for Access Manager). Each physical proxy server has 1 instance running for each Directory server instance (1 enterprise LDAP, 1 AM LDAP). All 4 proxy instances can connect successfully to the Directory Masters over the unsecure ports (389 for enterprise LDAP, 55389 for AM LDAP). On the proxy servers, only the initial proxy instance can connect to the secure port successfully. For instance, on server 1 first the DPS for enterprise LDAP was installed then a DPS for AM LDAP was added. Only the enterprise proxy instance can connect successfully over SSL. On server 2 initially the AM LDAP instance was installed and then an enterprise LDAP instance was added. In this case only the AM LDAP instance can connect successfully.
For both instances of the proxy the appropriate certificates have been installed and verified. I can use the dps-instance-cert8.db for the working and non working DPS instances and successfully connect to the Directory Master using ldapsearch from the directory proxy server.
When I do ldapsearch I receive the following error on the second instances:
    ldap_simple_bind: Can't contact LDAP server
SSL error -12271 (SSL peer cannot verify your certificate.)
    Certificates:

In these situations it's important to separate SSL level issues from LDAP issues. I've had good results using "openssl s_client" to investigate and debug SSL/TLS level issues. I point it at the LDAP server and it sets up a connection handling the SSL layers and giving lots of diagnostics about SSL and the X.509 certificates in use.
Try looking for things like whether the SubjectAltName and/or Issuer's CN contain the same hostname you are using to connect.
After giving you the diagnostics it will be waiting with your stdin/stdout connected to the application via SSL (which could make you think it's hanging). Since you're probably not going to be typing the LDAP protocol by hand you want to abort s_client at this point (or type something that Directory Server will reject as a LDAP protocol error).
You can get openssl from the usual places: blastwave.org & sunfreeware.com.
    Hopefuly this will help,

  • Any "3rd" party program for making DVD's with movies and stills....???

I think I have read every post on this or other sites about maximizing burned DVD quality after using imovie. At the end of the day I can only say this. I used proshowgold on my PC and the DVD's that were burned had MUCH better quality pictures and video. The DVD when shown on a TV was much more vivid. I did not have to lace/deinterlace/h.264/mv2/upscale/drag.. etc.etc.... you get the point. I love the mac but I want to make a movie with stills and music, hit "burn" or move to iDVD and have a decent DVD to give to friends.
I looked at FCE but that didn't seem to be the answer for movies and stills.. ?? Anything else out there...???
Any help other than "your doing it wrong" is appreciated....

As Shawn said they keep on changing things around
In an older version it looked like this [link to image|http://dvdstepbystep.com/toast.jpg]
Click on New disc on the bottom, name the disc and drag the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS File in
You can also [use this|http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/image_to_diskstone.html] to make a .img from iDVD and DVD SP then burn to disc....

  • Can anyone guide me of using LDAP with JSP?

I am a beginner in java. Plz post your answers in a simple and easy manner and explain it clearly. I am doing a project for which I require to use LDAP in JSP.

I assume he wants to use LDAP to authenticate user logon in a JSP application.
There are a few ways, JNDI being one. But a simpler method might be to see if this library works for you:

  • Simple guide for using SQLite Manager with Mac Firefox browsing history

Is there a basic beginner step-by-step guide (rather then a detailed user manual) on using SQLite Manager to work with Mac Firefox browsing history? Thank you!

Firefox doesn't have many option to mange the History.
You can only delete items or copy and paste them to bookmarks.
Using the SQLite Manager extension to make changes to the History is not really recommended because a lot of tables are involved.<br />
The extension is suited to inspect or export specific entries occasionally, but not for doing more complicated operations.

  • Use GUID for setting partition element with bcdedit

The following is an example of a valid BCDEDIT command:
    BCDEDIT /set {ntldr} /device partition=d:
If a disk were added to the system and the drive letter of the
partition just referenced was no longer "d:" then it would not
    be found by the loader.
Could a volume name such as
    \\?\Volume{e1e236ee8-7dbd-1223-a442-806d61f356de}
be used in place of the drive letter in the same command ?
(If not, my next question would be how to reset the
element in a script...perhaps some hints?)
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Which OS are installed in the disk you attached to system? Windows XP?
Do you want to makes a dual boot?
Please run bcdedit /enum in privileged command prompt, and upload the result here.

  • Best practice guide for Batch Load utility in Oracle UCM.

    Hi,
Is there any best practice guide for Oracle UCM Batch Loader utility.
We are looking for information regarding batch size in terms of number and size of contents. Also is there any loading time standards considering the contents are uploaded in filesystem where filestore provider is configured?
    Thanks,
    Krishnendu

    Hi ,
There are no specific set of steps / practices for batch loading contents to ucm . It would be very much dependent on how many contents does the user have to load to UCM and how well the server is configured in terms of performance .
You can get more details from the following documentation link : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10792/c02_settings009.htm
    Thanks,
