  • Font problems in resulting XML Publisher document (from PeopleSoft)

    Hi all,
we're creating documents using XML Publisher under PeopleSoft, designing the template in Word 2007.
We see strange things hapening to the resulting documents: even though the majority of the template is created in a Times New Roman 11pt font, we find that in the resulting document, empty paragraphs and empty table cells are formatted as Arial 12 pt. So where we put an empty line between paragraphs in the text in the template, and set all the text to Times New Roman, the empty lines are Arial. Same thing with the tables. There's a table with a for-each loop in the rows. The XML with the data always contains 10 entries, but possibly with empty values, so that the table in the resulting document always has 10 rows (plus a header row). However, the empty rows are Arial 12, and the filled-in rows are TNR 11. This results in a different heigth for the table depending on how many rows are filled in, causing the positioning of the rest of the document to be off.
The template contains NO Arial 12 at all...
I hope my problem is clear. Any ideas or pointers where to look are really appreciated...

    Hello Deepz,
Thank you for your answer. I am not sure I understand your answer: I stated, this is occurring in XML Publisher from PeopleSoft, so not in BI Publisher. Furthermore, there is one section in the document where I do need Arial, but at pt 11, not 12.
I hope you or other forum members can help me further.

  • PeopleSoft XML Publisher Desktop installation issue

    Hi,
I've tried to install the XML publisher desktop desing helper.
I've installed it without error. But when i open the Office word program, it didn't show up the Template Builder menu on office tool bar.
I've tried to do the following:
    1. Set the trust center setting in word option, Marco is all enabled, and the VBA project is checked.
    2. Close the Microsfot program, IE, Word, etc.
    3. Close the MSN Messager program
    4. Uninstall the MSN Live
    5. Then I re-run the installation file of XMLp several times to re-install it.
After that, i still can not find any menu tool bar named "Templdate Builder" in word program.
During the installation, there's no error, the install process is smoothly ended, but in the word program there's no menu for Template Builder.
The version of Microsoft Word is 2007, and the version of XMLp Design helper for Word is 5.6.2, and the Java JRE version is 1.6.07.
    Please help on figuring this!
    Thanks,
    Saxon SI

    Hi:
Check for Add-Ins in Word Options. Make sure that TemplateBuilder.dot is active; and look for 'Add-Ins' menu on your document. XML Publisher menus will be visible on that tab.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sameer.

  • Parse Error in XML Publisher .rtf template during "preview"

I've created a template based upon a working one with a few tweaks, but it does not work. It validates okay in XML PUblisher but the preview fails with this error:

Since I don't have explicitly "xsl" anywhere, the actual problem is unclear to me. I have attached the template. I'd appreciate any sugestions. All I need to do is
    1. Loop through all Campus Community checklist items
    2. Loop through all STDNT_TEST_COMP rows
As I cannot attach the template or sample data, I"m pasting below the relevant portion of the template, even though it may look odd in plain text.

  • Creating XML Publisher report without xml data source

    Hi
Anyone developed XML publisher without xml source.I wanted to know is there any way to develop that..
Presently we need a .xml file to develop any report on XML Publisher. But if there will be a way where is no .xml file and we need to generate tags for the data from scratch
    thanks
    kp

So why develop a report if there is no data? I can only think that you have a bunch of static text, maybe an instruction page you want to publish? If so, you still need a data source, it can be a dummy source
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <ROOT/>
ie no data per se. BIP needs a source even if there is not data to merge.
    Cheers

What I would like to happen is to have a table that has 15 rows displayed even if there are not 15 line items and in the event of more than 15 line items I would then like the extra lines to rollover to the next page displaying 15 rows in the table even if the remainder of line items is not 15. • Some RTF commands not working in Oracle XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.3

    Hello,
I am using Oracle XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.3 (Patch 5887917) and seems like some of the RTF command are not working. I am following Tim Dexter's blog (http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/10/here_are_my_terms_conditions.html ) and could not make the "new" commands from his blog, work in my template.
<?section:force-page-count;'end-on-even-layout'?> -- even with this on the template, I'm still getting output with odd total numpages
<?section:xdofo:blank-on;'even-skip-page-count'?> -- cannot suppress the NUMPAGES value of MS Word
Do I need to apply additional patch(es) on top of Patch 5887917 for the MS Word add-on? Could you please tell me what am I missing?
    Thanks.

  • Oracle's XML Publisher in JDeveloper and XSQL Servlet

A While ago, in this thread JDeveloper 10g, XSQL and FOP , was mentioned an ongoing effort for the "integration of Oracle's XML Publisher in JDeveloper and XSQL Servlet", Is this still happening ?, will this be something will be able to use without having to be an Oracle Apps shop? Any additional info would be appreciated.

is there any progress about XML publisher integration with JDeveloper. I'm right now examining XML publisher but there is no explicit directions and explanations of using XML publisher with jdeveloper.

  • Any document on naming conventions to be used in BPM?

    Hi All,
Is there any document available which specifies the standard naming conventions to be used in BPM? Please respond, if there is any.
    Regards.
    Rajat

    Hi,
you would need to put string constants in a file ending with .properties. From out of your application you replace all string constants with calls to a ResourceBundle class you'd have to instantiate for the .properties file.
ResourceBundles use a certain namin convention combining an arbitrary name with a locale such as _de for a german system for instance.
See the API docs at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/api/java/util/ResourceBundle.html
You can see an open source example of an application running in different locales at http://www.lightdev.com/dev/sh.htm
