Any experience with Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac

I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera, and I am unable to download my High Definition movies from the camera to my Mac.  I have tested out the Aunsoft Video Converter.  Is this the best programme?
I can also get this bundled with a DVD ripper.  Will this work on my Mac, and can it convert or rip foreign DVDs (actually PAL but formatted for UK)?

I am using some Aunsoft programs. Hope my information helps somehow.
The Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is a nice program. I usually use it to convert my videos (AVCHD .mts format) that shot with my Panasonic camcorder to the Apple ProRes format for editing in Final Cut Pro X. Sometimes I also convert differnt videos to the MOV or MP4 format to watch on my idevices (iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, Macbook). The converter program worked nicely.
It seems your Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera also shoots video in the AVCHD (.mts) format. If you want to convert your video footages with Aunsoft converter you need firstly transfer the video files from your camera to Mac using the USB cable that comes along with your camera. Then load the videos from your computer into the video converter. The .mov

  • AVC - Any Video Converter for Mac

    Hello,
I've been in search of a "complete" replacement for (now discontinued) VisualHub for converting "many"
video formats to the ones I use most frequently (DV, DVD, iTunes to name just 3).
Today, I found "Any Video Converter for Mac"
<http://www.any-video-converter.com/mac-software.php> but want to see if there are other Mac users out there, uh, using it. It's shareware: $44.95, so I'd like to know if it's worth the money b4 plunking down that much cash.
Anybody here who has a "review" on this app would be helpful.

    Brie,
Just the 3-minute clip length on the demo. This prevents testing it on full length videos when the original cannot be edited "natively" by Mac OSX. That is, when you have a five minute clip in .wmv format, no editing means the clip can't be snipped to less then 3 minutes for testing with AVC.
The obvious: Flip4Mac can be used for this but that's another $29.95 (or more- it's tier priced based on editing capabilities) on top of the $44.95 for the AVC app.
The other thing which caused me to ask for reviews by users of the paid version is that some formats required downloading additional codecs from the developer of AVC. I know from experience that installing codecs "willy-nilly" can lead to system instability. So it's either pay for the version of Flip4Mac which can edit the wmv type files or take a chance that the additional codec from the developer will let me edit a longer than 3-min. wmv file (with the aforementioned risk).
This is a relatively new developer, and I am not an early adopter. Logically, I thought there might be one of those early adopters out there who could point the way for the rest of us (video editors). The obvious goal: making more video stock available for use in iMovie projects.

  • Panasonic camcorder HDC-TM90 any experience using Pavtube Video Converter with Final Cut Pro X

Does anyone have any experience using Pavtube Video Converter with Final Cut Pro X for Panasonic camcorder HDC-TM90 shooting in 1080 P 60 ( mts file extension)

Don't use these generic offbrand converters to get footage into FCP X. they re-encode your video and cause loss of quality. If FCP X cannot import your video then use a utility that simply re-wraps it into a quicktime file with no transcoding or loss. I prefer Clipwrap which works great and is updated frequently but there are free alternatives like Media Converter or Rewrap.
But version 10.04 of FCP X should import it directly from camera as long as the folder structure is complete and you are not trying to merely import it from single mts files.

  • IPhone Video Converter for MAC

I have been looking everywhere and can't find a free iPhone Video Converter for the Mac. There is one but it is for windows.

Depends on the format you are converting -- Handbrake started as a Mac app (although it's also available for Windows) and is excellent.

  • Best Video Converter (for Mac) For Use With CS5

I need a good converter for a Mac Pro so that I can easily bring in AVI i
    nto CS5.
    Thanks.

What sort of "AVI" are you talking about? An AVI is just a container/box/dufflebag for all sorts of stuff; Macs and QuickTime will handle a number of codecs stored in an AVI container, but not everything. So ultimately, a Mac converter might not do you any good if there isn't a decoder available for the Mac. For example, Lagarith and Ut are two popular lossless codecs that write to AVIs, but there are no decoders for Mac, so the AVIs are unusable there.
Another thing to consider is that, in all likelihood, if a converter can open up the AVI on the Mac, then Premiere will be able to import it without any other necessary changes. Get MediaInfo to analyze the file and discover what is inside of it. Once you know that, we can make better recommendations about how to treat the file.

  • Is it safe to download a "free" youtube video converter for MAC and if so, which one is recommended?

Is it safe to download a "free" Youtube video converter (Ex. "freemake.com") for MAC or is there a better program recommended to convert these videos to DVD?  Thanks!

Youtube's ToU specifically state that downloads of any content is prohibited unless there is a download button available for a particular video.

MPEG Streamclip this is not a program that is for making ipod video's but there is a setting for it, you have lots of control over the settings if that is what you want. If you are not sure of settings it could be alittle overwhelming.

  • What is the best, safest MXF video converter for mac?

I need to view MXF video files on my macbook pro. Wondering if anyone knows what is the best video converter to use for these files?

Hi, I just got one recommended to you. It is iOrgSoft Video Mate. It can convert camcorder footages like MXF, AVCHD, MTS, XAVC, MOD, etc to regular video formats like MP4, MOV, 3GP, etc. I usually it to convert AVCHD files from my Sony cam. I think it works fine for me. You can have a try using it to convert MXF files.

  • Aunsoft AVCHD Video Converter for Mac

I have a Panasonic SD 700 which can shoot in a 50p mode; as FCP doesn't support this I just shoot 1080i. However I read this ad/ review for Aunsoft which suggests that I would have better results by using their software to make my 50p material ok for FCP. My instinct tells me all it's doing is converting it to 1080i.
Has anyone used this software to edit 50p material? Or can advise, eg is it converting to 1080i but using a much higher bitrate so the quality is better than the camcorders native 1080i?
    http://www.wisdia.com/articles/convertpanasonic_hdc_tm7001080.aspx

Call it what you will : Aunsoft, Aimersoft, iSkysoft, Moyea, Pavtube, Wonderhare etc its all the same or clones of the same dubious software ... but if branding the same app with a dozen different names in order to swamp the market was not bad enough, whats worse is the methods by which it is promoted ie not by unique and original recommendations by hundreds of satisfied users (as is the case with ClipWrap) but instead by seemingly openly and unashamedly employing the use of paid spammers (not genuinely satisfied users) to spread the word.
Are you a genuinely satisfied user or one of the latter "butter1093"?  You who have turned up here out of the blue to add to your sparse history of posts always seemingly on this same subject ie to recommend one or other of these apps.

  • Best Video Converter for Mac

I have downloaded quite a few avi or divx from & would like to convert to view in my new AppleTV. Any recommendation?
I am currently using iSquint which is free but it is slow - 700mb avi movie for high quality H.264 for TV takes around 2-3 hours! And the quality is still not as good as the original avi?
Is it something to do with my setting or is there a better converter out there?

Handbrake is good for converting DVDs, VisualHub is good for converting files from other formats to something playable on the AppleTV, and if you're looking for something to accelerate encoding times I'd take a look at the Elgato Turbo.264 hardware encoder. I purchased one of these a few months back and have been very happy with the conversion speeds and quality.

  • Video Converter for Mac & the iPhone

I have videos that need to be converted to be able to play on my iPhone. Where can I get a free simple program that does this?

Really? The iTunes will do it for me? How? Last time I tried, I dragged and dropped. The video played but wouldn't transfer to my iPhone because it wasn't the right iPhone format.
    UPDATE
Actually I just tried to drag a .avi file and it wouldn't snap to iTunes. I tried to drag a .mp4 and it had the + green icon to add. How do I add the .avi and convert it in iTunes?

  • With presenter video express for mac is it possible to control screen size

    HI
I'm trying to record presentations to include in captivate on a Mac using Adobe Presenter Video Express. When I start a recording my screen resolution goes to something like 640x480 - pretty much totally messing up my typical layouts and screens.
Is there a  way to control or specify the scree resolution that is used during recording?
    Cheers,
    Fred

well there is a program called logmein found at logmein.com. it fixes your resolution problem, but the speed is still not the best due to a lag still. As long as internet connections are decent, the lag should be minimal

  • Does anyoned have experience with Firefox 4.0 for Mac crashing immediately upon start up? My crash id is 41ffa3f8-5230-4218-b9e3-cf9ef2110423.

After Firefox started crashing I reinstalled it. It crashed immediately. I wasn't able to open it in safe mode.

Deleting the caches using onyx.. Is not usually a wise thing... OS X is quite capable of taking care of such things itself and often using something like onyx can cause more issues than it fixes......
Anyhow.. Try deleting logics prefs as per the troubleshooting doc here....

Delete both logics prefs and CDs prefs as indicated in section #8
