Any Extensions for Creating Blogs in DWCS3?

I would like to know if anyone has any idea of a DWCS3
extension that allows you to create a basic blog within the DWCS3
application? Ii simply can not learn WordPress (I have a mental WP
block or something). I am hoping there is something out there or on
the horizon that would accomplish this. Please advise if you know
of ANYTHING, thanks!

Are there any shortcuts for creating Value Object Classes?

Hi,
I'm using a Remote Object to connect to my server
(pyAMF/Django). I'm getting stuck with the creation of Value Object
Classes. It doesn't seem very DRY to have a class on my server
representing the data model and then have to recreate that class
and all its properties in my Flex app.
Are there any shortcuts for creating client side VOs from
server side data?
I was thinking about declaring an empty VO class in Flex, and
then dynamically assigning/casting my Proxy object to that class.
It seems like that approach may cause problems for the Flex
compiler though.
Any hints?

Extension for creating a zip file and unzipping it

Iam totally new to Dreamweaver and the extensions. So please
help me with this.
Assuming i have a .zip file and it contains some html pages
along with css and gifs.
The req is to have an Import option, which given this zip
file, can unzip its contents. The user can work on these html
pages. When the user finishes working on them, I need an export
button so that we can package the entire stuff back into a zip
file.
How can i implement this ?
Is there any extension that is available for this ?

There used to be one .. I'm not sure if that was in DMX time
or DMX 2004
time .. that, when installed, allowed you to select files
from the site
folder or the whole thing and create a zip from them. I don't
remember what
it was called or who created it .. but it might be on one of
my archived
disks or zips .. I'll try to check it out later today.

Any Extension for Ruby On Rails on DW

Hello,
I am planning to quit PHP and start developing in Ruby on
Rails. Their MVC model is really great and plus MS has also
appreciated this model and getting this implemented in new Orcas
Model ( New Asp.net 3.5 version ).
Ruby really beats every one since its totally OOP and plus it
offers more powerful features than PHP5 and Easily fights with
asp.net in power.
Ruby on Rails is the future. I need to practice this on DW8
can any one prpvide me a working Extension for Ruby.

Unix: Any support for creating com objects?

I'm looking into migrating a CF 8 server from Windows to
Unix. I see in the documentation for CreateObject that com objects
are not supported on Unix, "Note: On UNIX, this function does not
support COM objects."
Obviously, this won't work on Unix: Note:

But what about this, can I create a remote com object?:

Cant install any extension for Dreamweaver with Extension Manager

I have installed dreamweaver cs6 but when i tried to install extension it says "This extension can not be installed, it requires Dreamweaver version 13 or greater.

You can only install extensions for DW CS5 with Extension Manager CS5. But this extension has declared it only supports CC or higher. So you can’t install it for DW CS5.

The problem I am having is with the more complicated options/addons such as having a choice between 0-n number of object 1 and/or object 2, having 0-4 powers out of a 7 checkbox power group, or having 0-n special units added to the squad that all are the same but all can have different powers/addons.
My question is, is there a better way to stroe this codex information instead of the textfile or any other way i should go about doing this to make it work. Any advice would be awesome thank you.

Any tips for creating a realistic midi cymbal swell?

surely there has be to a way to create a nice cymbal swell - I used to use cubase but it never sounded realistic just filling in a large number of cymbal crashes jammed together - too percussive.
any assistance would be awesome!

Creating a cymbal swell performed in midi (rather than as a previously recorded audio track), is done in a manner similarly to how a real cymbal swell is actually played: namely, a midi note corresponding to a software instrument patch's cymbal is played rapidly over and over, and the track volume level is increased. For a swell that increases and peaks in volume at the half-way point of note playing, and then decrescendo's back to opening volume, adjust the track volume automation accordingly.
Try the cymbal found at Fsharp in Octave C1, using the Orchestral>Percussion>Orchestral Kit patch. You can first set the track timing to be relatively slow, like 100 BPM, and then strike the cymbal every quarter note; use the metronome when recording to assist with getting an even note strike. Then playback the tempo at 16x speed at which it was recorded to get the rapid cymbal strike roll. Add the volume automation as discussed above to get the volume swell.
