Any fix for MS mouse scrolling issue?

Hey there. I've somewhat recently come into a problem where my Microsoft wireless mouse won't scroll through the iTunes library with the scroll wheel.
I've done other searches, I've seen others with the same problem, but no solutions.
Is this a permanent issue between the Microsoft mouse and the iTunes program that we have to wait for an official fix, or did something go wrong in my installations and I can fix the problem myself? (I have the newest IntelliPoint drivers and the newest version of iTunes).
The problem wasn't evident in XP, so it's probably a Vista vs. iTunes thing, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong or if there was an easy fix for it.

***** to have to buy a new mouse to fix the problem, I like how this mouse feels and moves (sigh..I love censors)
I guess when this one is about ready to be replaced I'll turn to logitech, but hopefully some sort of patch or fix will be introduced to let MS mice scroll in iTunes lol

  • Any fix for the kernel panic issue?

So far, i've had 12 kernel panics. Usually it only happens when I start iTunes or software update. I read in a developer forum it was because of the NVIDIA Graphics card. So, are there any fixes for the kernel panics with Lion?

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:
I haven't seen any threads on BlueTooth with over 1.4 million views and over 12,000 replies, or even any vaguely close. For any problem that someone has there is bound to be someone else amoung 150 million users who have it. That doesn't make it a "common problem."
If you tell us what the problem is specifically and what you have done so far to try to resolve it someone can probably help you.

Seems to be a common problem particularly with bluetooth headseat connectivity. Any ideas?

  • Any fix for touch pad issue in mac book pro on windows 7?

Hi, I've recently installed windows 7 and parallels in my mac book pro. While i run windows with the parallels track pad, scrolling and right click are functioning properly. But when i logon to windows directly none of them are functioning.
Pls lemme know if there is any fix for this.
    Thanks

Running Windows in parallels from the BootCamp partition messes the original installation. My experience. You will have to remove the parallels virtual machine from mac and did a complete reinstall of Windows later. It is better to keep your virtual machine separately.
This is not true. Running Bootcamped Windows from Parallels or Fusion does not impact the Bootcamp installation of Windows. It just provides a different access to the single Windows installation. Both Parallels and Fusion support this configuration and instructions for how to use Bootcamped Windows as the virtual machine's tartget operating system is included on each virtual machines's respective site.

Any fix for the PC based network printer communication issue with Mavericks?

I just signed up for FIOS and am not experiencing your problem (had enough other ones instead).
Go to mail preferences ~ click on a mail account ~ click on the advanced tab. The only settings that worked for me were: port 110 SSL OFF, authentication: Authenticated POP (APOP). If I remember correctly when I first set this up another window opened and I typed in my password and never had to do that again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Are there any fixes for iPad 2 with OS 8.1.1.

Are there any fixes for the iPad 2 IOS 8.1.1?  I've had problems with Safari and other Apps crashing or locking up, and with extremely slow touch response.  These problems have been occurring since the last update.  At times the iPad becomes unusable.  I have been keeping all programs closed and history and web site data cleared.  Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi, dannilee,
I have exactly the same problem. The device was my favorite computer until 8.1.1. Now it runs s-l-o-w-l-y, requires endless reboots.
To improve the performamce, I have tried these:
1.Go to Setting->General->Accessibility->Reduce Motion. Turn on.
2.Reset iPad device settings using Setting->General->Reset->Reset All Settings. Its increase iPad performance little better.
3.Hold the sleep/wake button and home button upto 8 seconds. This will turn off your iPad. Then turn on iPad. Wait few moments. Do the same thing twice to solve this issue.
Solution 3 worked for me. And, I always recommend you to backup your iPad first before any action to avoid any data loss.
Hope it is useful for you.

  • Any fix for the "remembering passwords" problem with MAIL?

I've been following the other threads on this topic. I am a new Mac user (all of 5 days) with 10.5.2 preinstalled on a macbook pro, so this is not a migration problem. Applecare has been unable to resolve the issue. My setup is a Verizon FIOS POP account. I've tried all the repairing, creating keychain suggestions. My incoming and outgoing accounts function properly, then they mysteriously forget the login credentials. Is there any fix for this, this seems absurd coming from a PC background? Thanks.

  • Is there a fix for the wifi connectivity issue after ios6 update?

Is there a fix for the wifi connectivity issue after ios6 update?
Cannot connect to any wifi since update to 6.0.1
How do I get update to 6.0.2?
    Will that even help?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Any fix for X-FI screech of death? *sound clip included for downlo

    http://members.cox.net/arfett/lamexfi.wav
You can listen to it for yourself. Happens in certain games like conflict global storm if you turn the music all the way down. That clip happens to be from FEAR Extraction Point in which it happens throughout 90% or more of the game which makes it really no fun to play at all. The only thing that "stops" it is going into the bullet time which is only a temporary fix as it just starts right after leaving bullet time. It's happened in a few other games just temporarily or in certain situations on both of the X-FI xtreme music card's I've had. I never have the same computer for more than 6 months as parts are switched out with upgrades on a monthly basis and on numerous Nvidia chipsets from nforce 3/4 and nforce 570 it always happens. I format for one reason or another every 3 weeks or so and every time I always download the latest graphics/chipset/sound/anything drivers for every piece of hardware I have so I've had this problem across at least the last 20 versions of drivers for everything I have so I know for a fact it's these **bleep** sound cards. On every single board I've had since experiencing this problem for the first time I even tried every pci slot on my motherboard every time with no success fixing the issue.
For those interested my current setup which is soon to be once again 00% overhauled (which I'm sure won't fix the problem) is an AMD 5200+, Abit KN9 Ultra nforce 570 motherboard, 8800 GTS and X-FI xtreme music.
Is there any fix for this or is creative aware of this problem and allow us to send them the card for one without this defect? I know I've read in the past other people were having the issue but it didn't bother me enough at the time to do anything about it.Message Edited by arfett on 08-29-20070:44 PM

It does it in game mode or entertainment mode. In 2 weeks I'll be on an Asus P5K motherboard with a Q6600. I know deep down I'm still going to have this problem, but part of me has hope it just might do the trick.
After some further troubleshooting I found a way to get rid of the screech in Extraction Point. If the music slider is set about 5 or 6 notches from maximum it won't screech. any higher or lower and it screeches. In conflict Global Storm it was caused by turning the music completely off so it seems it's some form of incompatibility with music volume in games. It's done it on both of my xtreme music's (I bought a 2nd one because I thought I must have just bought a defecti've card) so I think I might try one of those Auzentech X-FI cards and see if I have any better luck since they actually put quality components around the X-FI chip, unlike Creative.Message Edited by arfett on 08-3-200703:4 AM

  • Any fix for 24" cinema display periodically flashing black for 1 second?

This happens at least a few times every hour when I'm using the system. There are many other people experiencing this issue. Is there any fix for this? Is apple aware of this problem?

I "think" it's a monitor defect. Most seem to have their problem solved by getting it replaced by Apple. I had 2 identical LED 24-inchers -- one would blink, the other wouldn't. I just got a replacement, keeping fingers crossed but it looks good. I seriously doubt it's a problem with your MBP.

  • My iPOD classic (last generation) shuts off when jostled--like what happens when the headphones come out.  Any fix for this?

My iPOD class (last generation) shuts off when jostled--like what
happens when the headphones come out.  Is there any fix for this?

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

  • After upgrade to Mavericks I have to shutdown using the power button.  Any fix for this?

I have a mid 2011 iMac, just upgraded to OSX Mavericks.  It will no longer shut down using the menu.  I have to push and hold the power button.  This sometimes results in a very loud "snap" from my machine.  Tried reinstalling but still does the same.  Any fix for this?  If not, how do I redownload Mountain Lion?

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after  you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • Neo2 - Any fix for 'lost' memory?

On this board, I've read that it is normal for the BIOS to only see part of the memory if you have a lot installed. I've got 4x1GB installed, the BIOS reports a large number beginning with '3'; Windows System Properties says 3.25GB which works out pretty close in bytes to that reported by the BIOS. Is there any fix for this, since I'd like capable applications e.g. After Effects, running under XP x64 to have the option to access all the physical ram installed?

I would guess the history was lost when you consolidated your catalogs near the beginning of the process.  Can you remember what steps you followed to consolidate the catalogs?  There is no history if you have importing from image-embedded or sidecar metadata as that only contains the current state of the images, not all the steps followed to get there.
Most of the rest of what you talk about is a complicated discussion of why you don’t have any backups, which is interesting, but not relevant to the missing history, I don’t think.
