Any fix for the PC based network printer communication issue with Mavericks?

I just signed up for FIOS and am not experiencing your problem (had enough other ones instead).
Go to mail preferences ~ click on a mail account ~ click on the advanced tab. The only settings that worked for me were: port 110 SSL OFF, authentication: Authenticated POP (APOP). If I remember correctly when I first set this up another window opened and I typed in my password and never had to do that again.

When can we expect a fix for the Windows 8.1 hotplug issue with a Thunderbolt device. I got a dock to easy my up-and-go time when moving from using my laptop on the desk vs in meetings. Instead my computer crashes and I have to reboot.
I am seeing this issue with the 2012 Macbook pro Retina running Bootcamp with Windows 8.1 x64 bit with the F4U055 Dock from Belkin

I can confirm that hotplug does work properly on Windows 8.1 with Asus Thunderbolt ExII (Thunderbolt 2)
But does not work with Windows 8.1 and MacBook Pro Retina (Thunderbolt 1)
To get hot plug working with the Asus Thunderbolt ExII, you install the intel thunderbolt drivers, and then you get an interface where you can eject devices, and do things like setup more detailed security. However, this doesn't have any effect with the MacBook Pro. I suspect that either:
1) Apple's Thunderbolt hardware doesn't support hotplugging on windows
2) Hotplugging on Windows requires Thunderbolt 2
So, I should check on my Mac Pro (dustbin edition) to see if it works there with Thunderbolt II
Be great to hear if anybody has any success with this on an Apple device!

Looks like the Silicon Image drivers were moved to the incompatible software folder during install/upgrade.
Downloaded latest drivers, errored out of install claiming that the drivers were from an unknown author!!!
Emailed their tech support this evening describing problem.

So far, i've had 12 kernel panics. Usually it only happens when I start iTunes or software update. I read in a developer forum it was because of the NVIDIA Graphics card. So, are there any fixes for the kernel panics with Lion?

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:

I've been following the other threads on this topic. I am a new Mac user (all of 5 days) with 10.5.2 preinstalled on a macbook pro, so this is not a migration problem. Applecare has been unable to resolve the issue. My setup is a Verizon FIOS POP account. I've tried all the repairing, creating keychain suggestions. My incoming and outgoing accounts function properly, then they mysteriously forget the login credentials. Is there any fix for this, this seems absurd coming from a PC background? Thanks.

Is there any fix for the flashplayer installer not working on a windows 7, 64-bit, using firefox?

I Hit the download link, get the permission windows, and the flashplayer installer window comes up, but doesn't do anything. i left it up all day when i went to work, come home 12 hours later and it was still just sitting there not installing. Is there a fix for this? i have looked everywhere and nothing that i have found has worked. even the suggestions on the adobe help page doesn't work..

Any fix for the low volume on the Nexus yet?

Volume is really low have been buying new ring tones that are louder in an attempt to hear phone, but no hope for the notifications.... Did not have this issue with other phones.. Any suggestions?

I have Volume + too, primarily for the phone speaker which is nearly inaudible depending on the source video you're watching. It does noticeably increase the volume at the speaker, though bass through this app doesn't work on ICS, at least for now, but I'll take the volume boost over the bass boost.

Any fixes for drag and drop not working in WAD with IE9?

I have exactly the same issue as is described in WAD Problem - can't modify and Drag&drop in Web App Designer (WAD) doesn't work but unfortunately I don't have the option of going from IE9 back to IE8. Has anybody found a fix for using drag and drop in WAD with IE9?

This issue I am getting in Web Application Designer itself.In WAD 7.X ANALYSIS TABLE do we have any option from which we can disable drag and drop of cells because it is destroying the view of report output .
In WAD 7.X we have option of Activate Navigation in ANALYSIS TABLE but if we disable this our context will get disable and it shows the default Browser context menu.We have not provided any such options so that its original layout will retain back .
The solution they have mentioned to Disable Drag and Drop is not available in WAD ,its available in Analyzer.
Please let me know if you have found any solution for this.

Any workarounds for the X11 apps segmentation faults on intel with 10.4.8 ?

We've an X11 application, compiled for PPC, which runs fine with a G5 iMac on 10.4.8. However, it crashes with a segmentation fault on a MacBook Pro with 10.4.8 (running through Rosetta).
Searching the web, we found that this seems to be a widespread problem for X11 apps running on Intel Macs with 10.4.8.
Has this been submitted as an important bug to Apple?
Are there any workarounds for it?
Is the problem specific to PPC-only builds, or does it also happen with Universal builds?

A powerpc-binary program running under Rosetta can only load powerpc-binary modules...can't cross in and out of emulation within a single process. Perhaps your program is trying to load a module from X11 that is present as an intel-only binary? Rosetta is certainly no future-looking cure-all, just a stop-gap to allow one to keep using older stuff, and it is kinda fragile sometimes. If your target audience is both powerpc and intel machines, compile as a universal binary so it's native for everyone.

Any fixes for the frequent crashing of apps in iOS 7.0.2?

Almost all my apps have crashed while I've been using them-even iBooks while I needed to be studying for an online course. Sometimes the app crashes over and over again when I'm trying to re-open it. Even the Music app has crashed on me and refused to work unless I changed a setting of the repeat function before it crashed again, which temporarily solved the problem. Any way to get these bugs fixed? Don't tell me govt shutdown and furloughs are screwing up my iPad and iPhone! I expected a working iOS, not a beta.

It’s supposed to work. But the dimensions don’t. At least on my desktop:
It’s particularly critical in layout-mode, as a clear view is required in order to design the page. Positioning the logo here becomes quite a problem. It’s supposed to display in 400 x 150 px, but MUSE seems to bug.
I’d like to use sharp vectors instead of pixel-based-workaround-files like .png.
The fix is on my whish list for Christmas. What about you?

Any fixes for the rMBP creaking?

Just got my Late 2013 13" Retina MacBook Pro, and this thing is super creaky. If I rest my hands next to the trackpad (while typing) it creaks as if the chassis is an old peice of wood. This is ridiculous, if I pay this much money for a notebook it should be dead silent! I have an appointment with the genius bar, but I want this notebook to last me the next four years of college and thyis creaking will drive me crazy. Has apple released any statements about this? Luckily I have apple care so I will probably just ask for a new one, will they give me a new one right in the store though? I can't go without one.

Any fix for the Int Spkr/Dig Out glitch?

The internal speakers on my new 15" Retina laptop spontaneously mute intermittantly. I've read here that the fix is to exercise the headphone jack until the red light goes away and the Sound Out reverts to the speakers from the Opt/Dig selection.
If a new owner isn't fond of continually coaxing the sound jack into allowing speaker use, might there be a permanent, physical solution to the Opt./Int. glitch? And doesn't poking foreign objects like toothpicks into the headphone jack void the warranty?
Do the Apple Store Geniuses have an engineering solution?
Phone support is mystified by this report and suggests SMC and NVRAM resets, or sys reinstall, but clearly I'm not the only sufferer. Wouldn't there be more attention to a fix?

I only have the problem after upgrading to 10.8.2 and it happens only after I've let my MBP sleep. I can still get iTunes, etc., to output but no system sounds and the like. As a developer, I was running a pre-release version of 10.8.2 and everything was fine. Updated to the final version - through the App Store first and then with the combo update - and no system sounds after sleep. My only remedy is to restart - have you tried that?
