For several days all games crash after a few minutes and new apps won't open after downloading. Any fix?

Try a Reset first.
Double tap the Home button then swipe up on all background apps to close them. The hold the Sleep/Wake button till you see "Slide to power off" then power off. Once the iPad is off hold the Sleep/Wake button till you see the Apple icon to turn it on. This deletes no data and is equivalent to restarting your computer when it is acting up.
If that doesn't fix it you will have to Restore it.

I have several old Kodak Photo CD with PCD image files. I am now using Photoshop CS5. Some years ago while using Photoshop CS4 I copied a file: "Photo CD.8BI" from an older, CS2, version to the Plug-ins/File Format folder of CS4. This does not appear to work with CS5. Any fix?

It can be made to work, but you have to run the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5, and as I recall there's an additional DLL called pcdlib32.dll that's needed from the old installation.

Looks like the Silicon Image drivers were moved to the incompatible software folder during install/upgrade.
Downloaded latest drivers, errored out of install claiming that the drivers were from an unknown author!!!
Emailed their tech support this evening describing problem.

Any fix for touch pad issue in mac book pro on windows 7?

Hi, I've recently installed windows 7 and parallels in my mac book pro. While i run windows with the parallels track pad, scrolling and right click are functioning properly. But when i logon to windows directly none of them are functioning.
Pls lemme know if there is any fix for this.

This is not true. Running Bootcamped Windows from Parallels or Fusion does not impact the Bootcamp installation of Windows. It just provides a different access to the single Windows installation. Firefox 3.6 or 4.0 will not connect to online college past the student log-in page: Any fixes or suggestions?

Since I upgraded my laptop through both 3.6 and the 4.0 versions of the Firefox browser I have not been able to log onto the secure student website at aiuonline.edu ; my desktop did not get upgraded and I am still able to log on and do what I have to do.
I am running AVG anti-virus and have ran MS Malicious Software Detector and Remover...I do not have a virus or any other Malware. I have checked the security settings, cleared history, cleared cookies, cleared the SSL, ran cleanup, and ran defrag. I know it is a problem with the browser. I was wondering if anyone is encountering the same problem and if they have found any fixes to the problem.

I have tried all of the options in that first link you showed and none worked. I also configured my firewall (Windows Firewall) and ensured firefox was in the "Allow" list, which it was. I still have the issue.
I did notice something interesting though. When I first checked the firewall, Mozilla firefox wasn't on the list at all. I had to manually add it and then made sure it was allowed to connect to the internet. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, I never got one of those windows notifications asking me if I wanted to add a rule for firefox. Checking the firewall settings again, firefox was still absent. I don't think it matters, firefox doesn't work with no rules at all in the firewall, or if I manually add the rule and allow firefox to connect.
Any other thoughts?

Installed iTunes 11.0.2 and now macbook (2010 with osx 10.6.8) won't boot or run properly. any fix?

I still have 95 GB of free space on my disk. Booting takes minutes and no app or file will load/run properly. Just too slow. Spinning wheel for everything. I tried to repair disk, repair permissions, reset SMC and PRAM, as well as run the os software update. Has anyone come accross this? Any fix for this? Do I need to upgrade to Mountain Lion? Any insight would be appreciated. thx

Okay. problem fixed. Had to re-install osx from the original installation dvd and then ran a software update. Now machine and iTunes works fine. I came across the fix as part of this great step by step to fix your mac diagnosis post. very useful.

Lion is Not compatible with PPC (Power PC) based software, such as your older version of PhotoShop. Your choices are you can either upgrade to the newer version of PhotoShop, or you can backup your data and apps, erase your harddrive and reinstall Snow Leopard.

Don't use WiFi for streaming video. It is even worse for AirPlay since you are using bandwidth twice as it sends data from the iOS device to the router and then from the router to ATV. Use an wired connection to go to ATV. Even the high end consumer grade WiFi equitment is not great at doing streaming video.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Re Create the task:
1. Open Safari
2. Go to the desired website/address
3. Click the send icon at the bottom (Square with arrow pointed up)
4. Click Message
5. Add contact in "To:" line
6. Hit send
It locks up and lags here on me and the message never shows up at the contacts phone/imessage/etc.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Sometimes we have audio with a freeze frame picture. It is difficult to maintain the attention of a 2 year grandson anyway, but the the lost connections make it impossible. Any fixes?

This is a connection problem with wifi. Either your wifi is failing, or your internet service is not fast enough for video feed.

Any fix?
