Any Good Apps That Have Been Updated For iOS 4?
So I'm trying to find some good apps that really take advantage of the iOS 4 new features. Was just curious if anyone's using an app that was recently updated with the notes that it supports iOS 4. I know Fandango does, but it doesn't really have any iOS 4 features built-in...

Just checked (literally), not yet. :'( I really want Skype and Pandora to update. Those are my two ones that I'm waiting for.

I have had several app updates that have been installing for a couple of weeks. Ever since I updated to IOS 6.0 none of the updates received through the app store have actually completed. I can't use the apps at all. Help!!

Can I recover lost iOS 5 versions of apps that have been upgraded to iOS 6 and beyond
My iTunes account covers an iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) and an iPod Touch 5,1 (iOS 8.0.2) and some of the apps stored by iTunes are no longer compatible with iOS 5.
My iPad has recently got totally frozen and so had to be put into recovery mode and restored but this process has caused me to lose apps that are on the iPod and upgraded for iOS 6 and beyond.
For example, my iPad no longer has iBooks which is the main reason that I bought it originally.
Is there any way that I can recover these lost apps? They are not in my waste bin/trash folder.If you have purchased/downloaded the App before, and it appears in the Purchased tab of the App Store on your iPad , then tapping on the cloud icon next to it to start the download will issue the Non compatible error, but will in fact prompt you to download a compatible version if your iOS version does not support the most current one and if there is a compatible version available.

I have 2 apps that have been waiting to update for a week. I don't really care about the update, I would just like to use them, but the are stuck waiting. I have tried powering down, syncing with my computer...all fails. Any ideas?
At this point you have no choice but to update the or delete them and reinstall them since you wont be able to use them until they update - or come out of the "waiting" loop.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again. -
Hi everyone, i got my iPhone 5S in Macedonia for 600 € and someone who lives in Germany tells me that my iPhone is not as good as 5S's that have been produced for Germany or in any state like Germany , does it mean that is not original someone to help me ?
All iPhones are manufactured in the same factory in China, all are the same quality for every country of sale.
But the LTE/4G bands are different for different countries so may not work back in Germany. In addition, the warranty is only valid in the country of sale, so you will not have warranty support in Germany...unless Macedonia is part of the EU and then the warranty is valid for all EU states. -
I have a 64gb ipad mini that's been updated to iOS 7.0.4. Lately it's been shutting down in the middle of almost any app and the screen goes black and then the apple logo appears as if I've done a hard reset. I've tried both soft and hard resets but with no results. Sometimes thes happens several times in a row. Does anyone have any ideas? I did read discussions and close running apps to make sure there is enough memory. In the past this sort of happened (rarely) and it just left an app and went to the home screen, but this is a total shutdown.
I think you have covered most of everything that you could possibly do at this point other than restoring the iPad iOS software. That's what I would try now. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask a genius to evaluate the problem for you.

Most applications will work just fine. I typically have 150 or so apps installed, and typically only 1 or 2 will "break". The vast majority of apps will continue to operate just as well as before if not better. iOS developers are privy to beta testing the upcoming OS, so the week or so before and after the official release you'll see a larger number of apps needing to be updated than normal. Last night I updated 23 apps, and you'll see alot over the next week or two getting updates. Most are making minor changes to take advantage of new APIs, or add a new feature based on a new function of the OS (like twitter integration into the OS for example). Very few apps, (maybe 3-4 percent??) actually are getting updated because they're broken, but there will be a few. Most of the time, any apps that would break will have already been addressed in an update prior to the release of the new OS, and you've probably already updated that app so that it will work seamlessly and perfectly after the update hits.

I have a problem regarding updating the sprfac table.
What i need is to satisfy the following conditions and update the second table with values in the second table.
I need to upadate the second table when:
1. The emp_name and emp_no of first table matches with the second table and
2. The Appraisal field and extra_time field should be 'N' in the second table and
3. only if the values of age and sex are NULL.
Let me explain in detail.
My original table is sprfac. spr is Temporary Table.
I have some data in flat files and i have loaded all the data into a temporary table using sqlloader. Now i need to update the second table.
Originally the age and sex fields in the sprfac table are NULL. Once i update the age and sex fields in the sprfac table again if i do update it should not update the rows which have data in age and sex columns.
Suggest me how to update multiple columns simultaneously or send me the code for the update statement if possible.
NOTE: I have changed the tablenames and column names since i cannot keep the original tables here.

Hello, I'm an IT Manager for the Messenger Inquirer newspaper in Owensboro, Ky and we been experiencing a lot of hangs (or we call the beach balling) on our iMacs (mix of 10.6 and 10.7) since version 24 came out. We usually have to force quit the app to get it going again. I've been installing Chrome as a workaround but some of our web based apps don't function correctly in Chrome so I was wanting to report this and see if you have any suggestions. I've cleared everything in history and made sure Java and Flash are current. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you disable hardware acceleration as a first try.
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
