Any good uninstall apps?

There are some items on my MacBook Pro that are just hanging out there and I would like to get them off of my computer. For example, I used to have Sophos Anti-Virus on my machine, but used the "unistanll" that i provided...by it didn't uninstall completely, as I can still see a Sophos folder somewhere on Finder, and while in finder it gives me the option in a drop down to scan any particular file with Sophos. Plus I have a Canon IJ Network Scan Utility showing in the top menu bar to the right and would like to get rid of that untitlity and get it off the menu bar. Any good "Apple-friendly" apps out there that can make a clean wipe of certain apps or programs?  Thanks.

1. Under System Preferences > Other, see if you have any preference panes that may have an "uninstall" option.
2. While you're there look under Users & Groups, and delete any "Login Items" that you don't want. Select the item and then click the "-" (minus) button:
3. Try holding ⌘ (command) while clicking and dragging a menu extra (menulet) icon off your menubar. Some third party utilities work that way; some don't.
4. In Finder, simply drag any unwanted apps or folders to the Trash.
These techniques or may not get rid of all your unwanted programs, but it ought to get you started.
I don't use any uninstall utilities so I can't recommend any; I wouldn't trust them and deleting stuff in OS X is generally pretty easy anyway.

I'm intrested to know if theres an app out there for the iPad for salesman.
Stuff like cataloging the customer by number, address, name ect', taging a quats for that customer, punching in an order i just made, and most importantly sync that informatiom to a cloud with usernames so the office can see it instantly, something free, or atleast cheap (not like Repzio who wants absourd amount of money for their app)
Ill be happy to know if there's anything like this out there.

  • Any good iMac apps for making animated cartoons?

I'd like to design-make animated cartoons using some sort of imac based cartoon video maker. I was looking at the FLIP BOOM CARTOON app available on the app store.
Anyone ever use this app? Or can suggest other such apps to make animated cartoons? Something in the resonable price range. Im not looking to make my own south park series, just home cute simple animations and cartoons that can be saved as video.  Im surprised more people are not interested or into wantng this also.

    Microsoft Office Word

Unless you want a new computer, forget about AVCHD. It requires too much muscle to edit comfortably on anything but the fastest computer.
What camera is nice, depends on your budget. Formats that are easy to edit are HDV, DVCProHD (P2) and XDCAM. In the consumer range you could look at the Canon HV40 or XH-A1s, in the prosumer range look at the Panasonic AG-HPX170, Canon XH-H1s, JVC GY-ND250 or Sony HVR Z5 or Z7 and all Sony XDCAM cameras, especially the EX1 and EX3. In the professional range look at the Sony PDW-F355 or upward.

  • Are there any good third party or otherwise apps and/or plugins for imovie'11?

Are there any good third party or otherwise apps and/or plugins for imovie'11?

    Re: Plugins for iMovie 11
Someone just asked this question yesterday. So I am cutting and pasting the answer From Bengt Warleby
    Hi
    You can not.
Nor to iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 - They do not accept any Plug-ins.
How about FinalCut Pro X - I don't know but i regard to Apple way of progress - I doubt
For iMovie up to HD6 and FinalCut Express and FinalCut Pro up to 7.0 - there are plenty.

  • Seen any good SIP/phone App reviews? fring/nimbuzz/acrobits/bria/Skype/tru/

    Best phone App? SIP (fring v nimbuzz v acrobits v Bria v iStarSip/Wifone/F-Route/iPico/NetDial...) v Skype v Tru
I'm trying to use an iPod touch as my main phone, using a MiFi 2200 to provide connectivity wherever.
Anyone seen any good SIP/phone App reviews?
I'm looking for the best SIP app out there. Willing to pay, but want good value. (E.g. Acrobits w/G.729a for $17 one-time is a leading contender.)
I can't find much info on the SIP apps available. I haven't jailbroken my iTouch, but I'd be willing to to get the best SIP app.
Anything with all or most of this:
    Caller ID?
Automatically switch codec based on WiFi network name? (e.g. MiFi vs home network).
Support more than one SIP login at a time. (E.g. one for incoming, one for outgoing?) (Equivalent: route different calls via different VoIP providers.)
Fewer transcoding steps? I think this is why fring voice quality is not great; it transcodes SIP.
Better fidelity? (MUST be demonstrated, and replicable.)
Good at maintaining a connection/restoring one that goes down?
I have fring working with sipgate SIP.
I have Skype working (I haven't tried/paid for skypein or skypeout.)
I have $10 in Gizmo5 credit but Gizmo5 with fring is unusable; it almost never works.
Acrobits Softphone is available from the App Store for $7; additional features are available via in-app purchase including G.729 Annex A audio codec support ($10) and encrypted ZRTP outgoing call support ($25).
Nimbuzz: Can run in background for ringing and while talking. Haven't tried.
    truphone: 2.1c/min? 1000 min/mo is $21/mo; not reasonable.

hi, tell me any good app to download video song from youtube..thanks

[Get Flash Videos] ([get_flash_videos]) from the AUR.  It is a command-line program that can download the highest-quality-possible video streams from YouTube as well as many other video streaming websites, and also allows you to log in right there on the console if a video was content-flagged on particular a video-streaming service.  You can also download the subtitles/closed-captions along with video.

  • Any good apps?

Does anyone know of any good apps I can download?
    Thnx

Hard to answer given the hundreds of thousands of apps available in the app store.
For Task or To Do lists, there are a number of free ones you should look at. There are also Notes apps that include task/todo lists or can be used as such.
EverNote is free and can sync documents with your googledocs account. My favorite Notes app (and the one I use daily for things) is Awesome Note, but Notebooks and Fliq Notes are also good.
You'll really need to look through the app store or appshopper and see what ones strike you - there's so many!
