Do you guys think If a MacBook Pro retina 13" is bumped from 2.6ghz i5 to 3.0 ghz i7 then It's going to work harder. ?? Is i7 too much for a 13 inch MacBook Pro retina?? Because it is dual core and has one fan. Loudness is a concern. I'm not really going to use it for gaming or editing I just want to have a powerful machine. Also does anyone know if apple will allow the 13 inch to have 16 GB of ram in the future. I'm sorry for asking a Lot but I just want to make the right choice. Thanks a lot
With flash storage RAM becomes less important since any data swaps are going to be very fast. I have 16 GB RAM in my MBP, and only when I use really 'heavyweight' applications do RAM requirements exceed 8 GB. Everything you have mentioned will be accommodated by 8 GB RAM with ease.
RAM does not make the MBP faster, it just makes it operate more efficiently if you have a lot of applications and tabs open. Note that those conditions can be controlled by the user, or put another way, you usually do not HAVE to have a lot of applications open at once.
Storage is an area I do not compromise on. I believe that one cannot have too much storage. This avoids the necessity of carrying with you an external HDD.
In the end, these decisions are yours, not mine. I am only giving you my views on your needs as I understand them.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

Can you confirm which Camera Raw PSE 12 is actually using by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-in -> Camera Raw.
If you do Help -> Updates it may install the latest camera raw of 8.4 - not on XP or Vista systems.
Do you use any Nikon software to download the images? The older versions have been known to corrupt the files.

Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

Cannot get itunes 10.5.2x64 to install at all, 10.5.1x64 worked ok on my Vaio win7 laptop.The update totally screwed everything,
all I get is "the installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured.errors occured during installation.your system has not been modified."
Any help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Praise God - I found the solution after hours of work: (1) Uninstall all Apple programs (itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, .....); (2) Go to "Common Files" and delete all Apple files - this might be difficult for some are locked from you - you may have to change the "Owner" of the file in order to delete it - if that doesn't work "Rename the Apple Follder to something like Apple Old - that's like deleting it. Then download 10.5 from Apple and away you go - yippee.

ID on the Mac can produce reports that may (or may not) prove helpful in diagnosing the problem. I suspect this is something not directly related to InDesign, and maybe not to any of the Adobe apps directly since you seem to be having a problem in more than one. That often inidcates a problem at the system level.
Nevertheless, it won't hurt to try to gather the reports. You'll find driections for how to generate them, and to post them on Pastebin.com (then put a link to them here) so we can see what's going on at Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding
