Any help with the Software Updater

Whenever I start the applications it just hangs, any advice. I know this has been covered previously, but that never helped.

I got the following with Windows XP2 SP2:
nsl_host_process.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point xmlReadFile could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll.
OK
and NSU just hung. Sometimes, it didn't give the error, but hung.
Uninstalling and reinstalling NSU didn't help.
According to filemon.exe, NSU tried to load the dll from system32.
I had 507904 byte long libxml2.dll dated 04.06.2004 in system32. I hunted another version of libxml2.dll (1032657 bytes) and put it in
E:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Service Layer
After that, NSU worked.

Please do a search on this forum for "6280 software update" and you will have your answer.
Many people have written here about Nokia software updater that tries to flash their 6280 phones with V6.10 (intended for the 6288) and then breaks their phones.
I myself was busy downloading the firmware for a friends 6280 that was just minutes away from being flashed with 6.10 when I came across messages on many sites telling about the issue with the software updater and 6280 phones. I managed to save that 6280 from sure doom.
If you also searched before hand you would not have this trouble.
You need to take the phone to a nokia Service centre to have it flashed now and get it into a working state.

Why does itune keep telling me it could not establish a connection with the software update server

i have an iphone 3g running on 3.1.3 firmware and every time i plug into my pc running windows 7 it says that it is contacting the software update sever then after about ten seconds it says that update failed could not establish a connection with the server i have tried to disable my firewalls completely and it seems that nothing works nothing is wrong with the iphone it sync's properly and works fine someone plz help me so i can update

i was constantly disconnecting from the internet when playing online games on the mac side of my hard drive until i got a software update, but i dont think the update carried over to my windows xp partition, so i still frequently disconnect when playing games on windows, anybody know what the problem is or how i can get the software updates on the windows side?

Of course it didn't. Mac updates don't affect windows, and vice versa.

Help with a software update please

I have tried on loads of occasions to update the software on my iphone 4 through my itunes, it takes forever for itunes to download the update, and then when it tries to update my phone it comes up with an error and doesnt update. Has anyone else had problems like this, and does anyone know how I can fix this and get my phone updated. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Problems with the software update and windows vi

I have been looking all over this forum and couldn't find an answer to my question, so I decided to post it myself.
Recently I bought a laptop with windows vista installed on it, and my creative zen vision M 30gb software stopped working. After ignoring this problem for a month, I thought creative might have already came up with a solution. I downloaded this new software package; Creative ZENcast Organizer .04.06 Suite. When I tried to install the software, I received an error, stating that my windows media player wasn't up to date. After double checking my windows media player updates, I concluded that my windows media player was up to date. Still I can't install this new software. Looks like creative is living up to its BAD reputation over and over again. Any help?

I need help with the Security Update 2006-002!

Security update has really screwed up the two systems I've installed it on:
1) My G4 PowerBook refused to reboot after the update, getting only as far as the initialApple screen. Rebooting with a 10.4 install disk and using Disk Utilities to try to repair the disk either results in an "Unable to unmount disk" error, or if Repair does proceed, it is unable to repair the disk. I get a "Invalid node structure" error message, then a "Rebuilding B-Tree" message, then a "The Voluma Macintosh HD could not be repaird" message, and Repair quits with a "Error: the underlying task reported failure on exit" message.
2) On my Dual 2 GHz G5 desktop, Safari appears to be unable to load more than six URL:s in 6 tabs; I read about 20 webcomics all organized in a bookmarks folder, and my usual practice is to select "Open in tabs" to open them all at once. Heretofore Safari has opened all the tabs and all the URLs without a hitch. After the update it will open all the ttabs but only about the first six sites load - all the rest just sit there spinning their wheels.
Also it has hosed iChat on my Dsktop. iChat will open, but will not send or receive chats, and will not open the buddy window.
Also Also, the system frequently hangs, seizing up anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes, then resuming normally. Safari seems to be the culprit, but I can't really tell.
I need an update to recover from the effects of the last update.

I'm not very knowledgeable on macs yet being a new user (switcher) However, there appear to have been too many problems for too many people and too many systems associated with this update for it to be co-incidental. Take a look through the topics since the update appeared. My computer is brand new. The update did something that screwed something in the startup file (or whatever) The nice man in India helped me get the computer going by removing all sorts of wonderous things, this after his colleague in Cork had sent me all sorts of stuff to my work address to try out when I got home, like pram and nvram (which only made things worse) and other things. Now my computers fixed. Except that there's now no printer, it won't find the drivers off the install discs and any driver I load from canon isn't recognised or a script isn't recognised. I bought this thing to get away from problems like this on PCs!!!!

I recently got a new macbook pro and I was doing a software update last night as it was required but then when it started to do the update the computer installed the software and then a barring noise came from the mac and it tried to restart 4 times before it eventually came back on. The software trying to install was Fireware 800 I think. Can anyone help with this?

Do the old air port extremes work with the software update downloaded today

I have the new airport express. I have a two year old airport extreme. I downloaded the airport software update today and the internet access is not connecting. I can access the internet on other networks, but not my own. In the airport utilities my airport express lists ,connection good'. The airport extreme, even though it has the green connection dot lit, does not have any verbage giving connection status.

Yeah im 12 and im awsome at all the iPod stuff but not this?!?!?!?!?!! Anyway I have had my iPodTouch since christmas and it was fine loving it up every minute and well today i saw this update.Well my curiosity clicked it and now it has a usb and the iTunes symbol and when i click restore it loads then on my iPod it has the apple and the bar under it loads then about midway it shuts of and has the picture pop back up! I need help with the new update

I am at a complete loss on what to do. I have been trying to install the new update but it keeps bringing up an error. I have searched on here for some solutions and I believe I am not doing this right. I have uninstalled all the items everyone has suggested (ex. Bonjour...) and rebooted. I went and downloaded iTunes again but two things keep happening:
1. While the iTunes Setup is installing and pop-up box says "Object already exists" and this pops up multiple times
and
2. After those messages go away another pop up says "iTunes Installer completed - Errorc occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again."
What am I doing wrong here? Can someone please help me? I have a Windows 7 laptop.

For "Object already exists" or "Access denied" errors when installing try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). Uninstall if you have it, then reboot, and try installing iTunes again.

Is there any problem with the new update 6.1.2 for iphone 5?

After I updated my iphone 5 to the new update there seems to be some difficulties with the camera. I get pink lines everywhere. It is a matter of seconds before it gets clear and again pink. But the problem started after the update. I asked other people who use iphone 5 and they said they didnt have the same problem. Its kinda weird I think. any suggestions?

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the red slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Need help with apple software update error

some time ago i must have installed some update that maybe wasnt apple approved, or i dont know exactly waht happened, but i did a virus scan i had a bunch, got rid of them, and am now trying to reinstall itunes(i uninstalled because it was acting funny probably because of the viruses) and i cant because it has an apple software update that is preventing the new install from occuring when i go to add/remove it telle me that "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable", ive tried to find the file applesoftwareupdate.msi, but nothing. so what can i do, i just got an ipod touch and i cant f ing use it, please please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd recommend trying to uninstall everything - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976 .
If that doesn't resolve it, I'd recommend going through it, or try installing through another user if you're able to.

Need Help with E90 software Update

Hi Everyone,
I bought an O2 locked e90 from someone on Ebay, and that phone was never updated to the newer version. I had the phone unlocked to be used in 3G, but when I tried to update the software through Nokia Software Update to version 300, it fails saying that USB connection failed and cannot continue installing. I have changed few cables just to make sure that it was not faulty, and still the same error. I was told by someone since the version in the phone is quite old it is failing to upgrade to the new one. Can anyone plz help me from this misery?????

Has anyone else had any issues with the latest update?

I downloaded and installed the latest OS update and after a restart, I got a crash screen. Called tech support and ended up reinstalling the OS. After all this, I do the update again and get a message that the iTunes update couldn't be found on the server. Whassssssup? Any ideas?
