So my latest FICO score is 710-Exp and I have no collections on my report. No late payments for past 3 yrs. I do have a D/C BK Chapt 7 from 2012. Prev had an AX Gold Rewards and Platinum Card charge card. Perfect payment hx on both. Neither included in the Chapt 7. AX closed both of those accts as soon as I filed for BK. Any hope in getting back in with them. I would really like to get the Delta card before the 60k promotion exp.

Hi, myfico scores are currently 695 eq, 693 tu & 683 ex. I have been getting emails and most recently a letter in the mail from amex wanting me to apply for the green card. I went to amex website to see what I would pre-qual for and got the green , gold and premier rewards gold card. The two cards that I aspire to get are amex bce and citi double cash. My question is should I take what I can get from amex now and go for a pc in a year (i read can't pc until 13 months has elapsed) our should I just keep on my steady path and wait until I get my score up to 720 -760 and apply? I currently have 3 dept store cc- hsn $750, ny&co $900 & vs $900, sdfcu secured cc $1000, fnbo $3000. Your thoughts on this is appreciated.

I would say based on just your scores and limits, and the fact that they approved me in may with only a third of the total limits I have now, you will probably be fine. If I were you, I would google Amex PRG 50k, once the page comes up from amex, if it says 25k after 2k spend, keep hitting refresh or open from a inprivate/incognito browser until it says 50k points after 1k spend. If you are at all concerned about being denied, many say to go for a charge card from them first vs a revolver. But I would say, why not just apply for both products using only one hard pull? I have seen similar and lower scores get approved for the BCE. But if you look at the pulls data base you will see the BCE is harder to get than the ED. You may want to consider the two. I also thought that the BCE was what I really wanted at first, until I discovered the value of MR points. With the ED, no annual fee, easily 2.4 per dollar at grocery stores and 1.2 on everything else, and that can basically be worth double when redeeming for travel. Dont worry about the annual fee of the PRG. You can cancel it. But it does come with 100 a year free for airline fees.

My utilization is 30% with all of my cards i currently have VS-1,390 (currently) Kays Jewelry 7,500 Capital One Mastercard 2,250 Discover It 2,700Capital One quicksilver Visa2500 Macys 2700 Right now I do hold some balances on my cards but never have ever had a late payment. My income is 45,000 a year. My most recent card is the discover it which i was approved for in April. I have 1 inq on Tu Eq-1 and Exp.is reporting 2 Oh yes i also have an amazon store card for 1800 with no pending balance. Just curious to what my chances would be for the American express card.

Gotta spend 55/wk on groceries to break even with the annual fee of the BCP... That EDP can be really really sweet for MR points though, especially with 50 percent bonus after 30 transactions.

Any CLDC/MIDP Api for interacting with phone? (eg. phonebook)

I was going through the APIs for MIDP 1.0, and wasnt able to find any functions which I can use for interacting with the phone stuff. For example, some of the stuff that I would like to do is:
(1) Add contact info. to the phone book.
(2) Read the contacts info.
(3) Set an image as the screen saver / background image
(4) Set a new ringtone
(5) Access the Messages Inbox (and also the pictures stored).
I was hpoing someone could tell me which classes I should be looking at, or whether I am looking at the wrong API set.

Micro New Warrenty apply for us with old warren

well, as u all know, the Zen Micro comes with a year warrenty and 3 months labor. Now, it has changed, due to the fact of many problems. It is a year warrenty and a 2 months labor. You can even see for urself on this Circuitcity link http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...essory.do#tabs

So well, if i bought my zen micro about 3 months ago, in the period where labor was still 3 months, does this new 2 month labor apply for me as well?

The warranty that you are covered under will be the one that is printed in or on the box the product came in. Currently the website for the US lists the warranty period for the Zen Micro at 2 Months Parts/ 3 Months Labor, however with the addition of the Creative Care Protection Plan it can be extended to a full two years for both. I will look into the Circuit City link to see if perhaps there is a misprint there.

You don't have to purchase a mouse. You already have one, it's wireless and the only one that will work on an iPad.

Are there any DAQmx examples available for use with pci 6229 M series card?

I have been searching around for examples which work with the pci 6229 M series DAQ card. Most examples do not list this card as applicable and the one I have found gives an error. Is there anywhere specifically available, what I am particularly interested in is seeing an analogue channel being triggered by another analogue channel reaching a certain value.

Hi Kejoglo,
You are right in the fact that the M-Series card is newer than LabVIEW (and therefore the examples that are shipped with it) and therefore the example finder doesn't list the M-Series cards in the list of available hardware.
Basically though, the M-Series cards work with DAQmx and not Traditional DAQ so if you just go into the example finder and search under Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx and choose an example from that folder to run on your M-Series card. As long as you don't try to do anything outside of the specifications of your card (which I doubt you will do) then you shouldn't have any trouble running any of the DAQmx examples on an M-Series card.

you cant acheive this heirarchy using the file adapters cont. conv, cos it supports only to a single level.
Maybe you can have a module or use the conversion agent !!

Tips for working with USB floppy drives

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on working with USB floppy drives in Archlinux.
One thing I've noticed is that trying to use mkfs.msdos on my USB floppy drive directly doesn't seem to result in a usable disk (it's mountable, but reports that I don't have enough space available to copy files), but if I use the command on an image file the same size as a floppy disk and then use dd to copy the blank image to my USB drive I get a disk that's perfectly usable. Anybody know what the deal is with that or how I might be able to successfully format a disk in fewer steps (other than keeping the blank images around and just using dd to format the floppies, haha)?
Also, I'd like to hear any other tips or tricks any of you have for working with USB floppy drives. They just seem so much more usable under Windows as opposed to Linux, and that disappoints me a little.

I would assume this happens because (as far as I can tell from skimming through the source over the course of a few minutes) mkfs.fat only applies floppy size heuristics to fd and lo devices -- your USB floppy drive is treated as a hard drive, and that leads to less-than-ideal default parameters. Run
fsck.fat -v
on the more spacious filesystem to figure out what options need to be set when you attempt formatting an actual disk. Or just make things easier by keeping newly-formatted blank disk images on hand so that dd and (maybe) ufiformat are all you need to worry about.

1 Step iDVD for camcorder with disk

My Sony Camcorder uses 8cm disk. I tried 1 step dvd; a disk was not created. I removed the plist as recommended to "jferf" on 5/3/07; no disk created. Can iDVD work for a camcorder with disk or only with tape?

For best results use a camcorder with firewire or i.Link interface and one step via iDVD6. Normally this involves a mindv device that records to tape with FW input/output.
Not intended for use with cameras that record to a hard drive or to a DVD since that format /mpeg 2 is already highly compressed and cannot be imported directly into iDVD6 w/o a 3rd party app. Long and complicated process that invloves apps like mpeg streamclip or Visual Hub.
Apple's pro apps will work directly with mpeg2 format also.
Btw, you can use iDvd's one step directly with a Folder/QT file also. In other words, if you were able to create a QT folder on your desktop, then you could use the one step feature within iDVD6 ....

What a colossally bad idea! To anyone reading this thread DO NOT DO THIS!!! Once anyone other than an Apple Authorized Service Provider (and that doesn't automatically mean your carrier, just FYI) opens up the device, then ALL options from Apple are gone, permanently.

Any hope for my G5?

This morning, my iMac G5 booted up fine. I had a Word document open. When I went to work, the screen flashed, then went black. I turned off the computer using the back start-up button. I gave it a few minutes, then pushed the start-up button. The white light flashed on the front, and I heard the hard drive try to start. Then it went flat....nothing but a faint blowing sound. I've tried two or three more times since. Same thing. It's like the computer's trying to boot up but just can't.
Can I hope for a fix at the Mac shop? I'm trying very hard to stay calm and optimistic.
