Any ideas how to get contacts to sync?
Hi - I have my calendar etc working between my imac, mac book air and iphone but address book is not updating. Have hte updated version on my imac but this has not fed thruogh to my iphone or macbook air. appreciate the help....

thats what i thought but there is nothing in the dropdown menu :-(
wondered if there was another way of doing it,,,,,,, if apple were to give the option to save contacts to sim it could be done soooo much quicker and easier :/

Some of my contacts have completely vanished? Any ideas how to get them back?

My i phone was stolen and now I need to upload my contacts to my i cloud from my I tunes...any ideas how to import contacts into i cloud, with either i tunes or with old iphone?
If you have the contacts on the phone you can sync the phone to the computer. The contacts should then show in address book. At this point you can sync the address book data to iCloud. You have to make sure the iCloud account is setup on the computer and this will not work unless the computer is running 10.7.2 of course. There are other ways to add the contacts to iCloud like through the phone but the phone must be running iOS5. If it is you can simply add the cloud account to the phone and toggle the contacts slider. You will get a prompt to keep or delete the contact data. Of course you keep. Then you will get a prompt to merge at which point you do. This should merge the contacts on the phone with iCloud. Hope this helps.

Any ideas how to get my software updated on my IPOD 3rd Generation when my computer times out? I have tried several times and it appears to take 30 plus hours. How Frustrating, not to mention the kids are too!
If the iTunes purchases are not in your iTunes library you can redownload them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you restore from backup, not that synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup and thus if those items are not in the iTunes library they can't be restored to the iPod during the latter part of the restore process. -
I have iWorks for a Mac Mini, I want to install that software on my MackBook Air, but it keeps telling me to update the software, I have updated it several times. Still no go, any ideas how to get past this problem? Thanks!

You access Facetime through the Contacts app - there is no Facetime app on the phone.

My email server is pop3, but Apple's Mail Settings Lookup is showing it as an IMAP. Any ideas how to get Apple showing the correct details?
Leave feedback for Apple at www.apple.com/feedback, or contact your email provider. It's the email providers that give that info to Apple, so both parties need to be updated.

I updated my phone earlier and somehow hanged my missus settings so she now has to use my email and passwords on her phone, i was using i tunes. any idea how to get her settings back cheers
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if you can redownload your past music purchases (those that are still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded, then have you not got it on your computer and/or on a backup ?
