Any Info on the outage?

I know there is a outage AGAIN. I can not get any email or internet nothing just phone. Is there any information on the status of the outage??

Hi all!
This forum, the press, and a lot of other places were "ablaze" with information overnight -- much of it, of course, misinformation. But, the outage is resolved and everyone should expect some time to be required to clear out queues and such. Anyone with a support agreement should be contacting their support provider for actual status updates -- and I've heard that different tier levels of support result in different levels of information available.
What we've heard is that some recent BBM versions may have been partially causal to the issue. Consequently, it is recommended that everyone update to the most recent BBM version (5.0.0.57)...especially if they have recently updated to any of the other 5.0 BBM versions.

    It looks like the developer's of that app, or Apple, have got the wrong search name for it in the store - you could try contacting the developer and pointing it out to them so that they can get it corrected. Currently it looks like you can only find the app either by using the link (as you've included in your post), or by searching for the developer's name (Page Foundry Inc) in the store.
    For searching the store, when you search for something then the first result(s) should be those whose title matches what you searched for - so if you search for 'ebook reader' then as there is an app with that exact name it will be first in the results, other apps will then be listed after it.

    It has been said by a Creative rep at Nomadness.net it *could* be another quarter, but no-one has said anything else.

    I kind of stumbled on this site, http://www.w3.org/ & was wondering if anyone had some input. A link from the site, lets you do a check of your website to see if it conforms to the open standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and checks for various errors.     I have three iWeb sites.
    1) links directly to my site using web.mac.com/user/site
    2) links to my domain name using web forwarding
    3) links to my domain name using .mac personal domain
    If I put 1 + 2 in the CSS Validator, it says no errors were found & the site conforms to the W3C
    If I put site 3, using my domain name as the URL, it says there are errors
    If I put the web.mac.com/user/site URL for site 3 it has no errors & says the site conforms to W3C.
    So my question is, does any one know if by using .Mac Personal Domain, would it make a difference in how a site would be validated by CSS

    The validator just checks to see if there are grammatical errors in the code. Just as in written/spoken human language.
    A browser may not understand what is being said. Just as in real life.
    Most problems occur in executing the JavaScript.
    Also, Firefox cs. have difficulty displaying the shades and mirrors of images. Just because they cannot interpret the JavaScript. W3 cannot check that.
    Internet Explorer usually has no idea what a webpage is. Try [this page|http://web.mac.com/wyodor/boxsamples> and [this one|http://web.mac.com/wyodor/hello_world> to get the idea.
    My impression is that iWeb is a bit too advanced for some browsers.
    Ignoring some minor errors, iWeb pages validate correctly.

    I have seen it on MacUpdate but am a little hesitant to mess with system stuff. Any ideas?

    I don't use it as i don't see any benefit in booting in 64bit kernel but all such apps are pretty much the same they are simply front ends to a couple terminal commands that let you set defaults for which kernel you boot. as such any app like this should be safe to use provided your mac can boot in 64-bit mode.

    Pretty much every user-space program violates this patent if all they patented was the idea of "asking for help". Not just .NET and C++.... MS-Windows itself would be in violation of this patent.
    Either the story is missing out on some huge details, or the patent will probably be invalidated almost immediately, I'd think.

    How do I restore it?

    Sometimes just closing and reopening the Help window will clear up the problem. If it doesn't, log out or restart the computer and try again. Otherwise, you may need to delete the Help cache.
    Back up all data.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal

    We have a background program to do some activities in the Database.
    Today ,when running the program we got the below error :
    1) 20221: errexit, ORA-00001: unique constraint (MEDS.MED_USER_EQUS_HIST_PK) violated.
    I ran a trace of this session and the trace file doesnt have any info about the error..ran trace using the below command :
    exec sys.DBMS_SUPPORT.START_TRACE_IN_SESSION(2166,30629, false,TRUE);
    why is that the trace file doesn't have any info about the error.
    2) I disable the constraint disable novalidate.
    even then I got the same error .. why is the constraint getting validate even if I disable the constraint ?

    You could actually say you are in gross violation of the forums etiquette post, and are abusing this forum.
