Any left in UK Apple stores?

Has anyone in the UK been into an Apple store either today or yesterday? If so do they have any stock left or are they sold out by now?
Also if sold out, any suggestion they may expect some delivered soon?

they are available on line at present from John Lewis for next day delivery. There is also the apple website which is updated each evening at 9pm listing stores which still have them see: http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/ . Got mine at Regent Street about 2 weeks ago now. Loving every minute.

Go to appleid.apple.com. From there, go to Manage Apple ID. Log in and go to Password and Security. When you get to the page about answering your security questions, click on the link for Forgot My Answers. That will send an email to the rescue email address on how to reset. If you did not provide a rescue email address then you will need to go to Express Lane Support https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action for help.

To solve the problem, it helps to know what the problem is.
Are you getting any error messages? Are you tapping on the download button and nothing happens? Please explain what is happening.
Without knowing the full issue, generic troubleshooting you can do is go to settings>itunes and app store>appleID>sign out, then sign back in. Then press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time until the device restarts.

Did you set up a credit card when you activated your iPad? A credit needs to be in your Apple ID on the device for you to be able to download apps, even free ones.

No Appointments Available in Any London Apple Store - ***?

I am trying to get an appointment to get my MacBook internally cleaned, having used it in Afghanistan for the last 6 months. There are no appointments at all available in any of the London Apple Stores. This is pretty poor to say the least - I understand that it may be necessary to wait a few days, but not being able to book anything is dreadful customer service.

I have had the same problem and it's been going on for quite a while now. You could try Amsys, an Apple certified repairs service. They are very prompt and will pick your computer up and return it as well without you having to bother about taking it anywhere. The only thing is that they will obviously charge you for it. Google them to find out about their fees. Hope it helps.

You can buy an unlocked iPhone at any of the 5 Apple stores in NYC. All are open on Sunday. Note a couple of things, however:
US iPhone 5's will work on 3G in the rest of the world, but not on LTE because the US phones use different channels than other countries
Be sure you say "unlocked", not "no contract"
If it breaks it must be returned to a US store for repair, and if shipped to Apple it must be from and to a US address

Hi, i was wondering if there was any forum about the apple store itselve, becouse i can't find any and I was wondering about something with my delivery.
Wen i ordered my ipod it said delivery date 5 days and the day after it said 2 day on site, now on my order form it says 5 days aswel, is it possible that the 2 days till shipping could apply to my order aswel now? becouse it would be strange if someone who ordered a day after me could receive his product 3 days sooner.
I posted my question here aswel, maybe i then don't have to make another post ;o sorry if this is a "not done" thing but i'm new here and just learning how it works.

There is no forum for the Apple Store, per se, since the Discussions are intended for technical support on Apple products. In addition, there's really nothing anyone here could tell you that would be authoritative; none of us (with the exception of the Discussions Hosts who know nothing about order times) work for Apple. All anyone could say is to report their own experience which may or may not bear any resemblance to yours.
The best thing to do if you have a question about an order from the Apple Store is to call the Store and ask. They're the only ones who can give you any definite information about the shipping time for your order.

They use proprietary software to do this. Maybe someone can suggest a 3rd party alternative.

Macbook Pro taken by Apple store

I have an extremely strange situation. I recently purchased a used macbook pro (2010) in February of this year. A few days ago the display started having issues where it would have blue vertical streaks across the entire screen and I couldn't make anything out on the display. I then proceeded to schedule a genuis bar appointment for the following day. Upon arriving at the Apple store the genius saw the problem that I was having and took it in the back to check a few things out. Ten minutes later he came back with the store manager and asked if I had bought the unit used. I told them I had and they proceeded to explain to me that they believed the unit had been stolen. I was obviously shocked and they said that they had to verify for sure that this was the case, but if it was indeed stolen that they could not give it back.
They asked for my contact info and went in the back again for awhile. The store manager came back and told me that the machine had been stolen from a store in pennsylvania. She then said sorry but I can give you a 20% discount on a new mac if you would like to purchase one. Now I understand Apple is a business and I understand their stance on the issue but I wasn't even given a chance to prove that I had bought the machine used. It was just taken from me with no effort at all to mutually rectify the situation. I have spent thousands on Apple products over the years and this was my 3rd Macbook pro in four years, I have had two of every iPhone released, an iPad, and several iPods and to be treated like I was some criminal and have my machine, which I make my living on, taken from me was extremely unfortunate.
I proceeded to file a police report and give the authorities the description of the person I purchased the machine from but I don't believe they will find him. I then called Apple Customer Relations and spoke with a kind man who tried to help but was told the Apple store was handling it and they would contact me. It has been two days and I have received no phone calls from anyone. I am by no means asking for a handout as I'm sure Apple recieves thousands of demands from 'mistreated' customers a day and I don't want to be lumped in with some uber sensitive disgruntled customers. I love Apple, I am a fanatic. I take it upon myself to convert as many of my friends and family over to Apple as I possibly can and I have been very successful in doing so because I believe in the brand so strongly. I just want to continue using their amazing products and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I was not mistreated, but I do believe that more could be done to to rectify the situation than taking my computer and sending me on my way.
My question to you all is have you heard of any situations like this before? If so, how was it resolved? And do I have any recourse in the matter? Now I know invariably someone will reply accusing me of being the person who stole the computer and how they can't believe I was dumb enough to take a stolen computer back to the company it was stolen from. I welcome any and all responses and I would ask for the benefit of the doubt. I have the phone number, name and text conversation of the person I purchased it from that I have turned over to the authorities. I also have proof from my bank of the purchase. So please, I am genuinely seeking help and I'm asking the community for appropriate reponses.

Try the Yellow Pages, Attorney's and find one that will do an initial consultation for free. It should be an attorney that specializes in Civil matters.
Take the police reports and any documentation from the Apple Store. If they gave you none, ask them for a statement regarding recovering Apple's stolen property. And, of course, what ever information you have about the person you bought the MBP from.
The attorney should be able to tell you if it would be worth your time (and his) to go after the seller. He may suggest suing the seller in small claims court depending on how much you lost.
Extraordinary customer service is the generous discount they offered. If you really want/need another computer, I would accept the offer. I can't think of another company that would reward someone for being in possession of property stolen from them.
So, at MBP prices they are giving you $240 to $598 depending on the MBP. If that's not extraordinary to you, send the Red Cross a donation in the amount of your discount.

There is no option to pick an Apple Store as a delivery address in the UK.
In the UK we usually have to have items delivered to the same addresses as the card holder, as a security measure. i.e. stolen cards can often be used to order items for delivery to an address not belonging to the card holder.
In cases where you provide a different address for delivery (dependent on the value of the order) Apple sometimes asks that you fax them proof that you are the CC holder and that you want delivery to a different address to the card holder address.
If you request delivery to an Apple Store by simply entering the Apple Store address as the delivery address then I'm not sure what will happen. With no processes in place at the Apple store for deliveries of this kind, what would happen. Would they accept the delivery? Where would they locate your items to ensure they were safe and not normal stock? While I'm sure you can potentially ship stuff to any address, without the Apple Store having processes in place to deal with the delivery, storage and ultimate customer collection it would be very risky.

First, have you confirmed that your Mac is compatible with Mavericks? Here are the compatible models:
•     iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
•     MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
•     MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
•     MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
•     Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
•     Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
•     Xserve (Early 2009)
so an early 2007 Mac of any type would not be compatible. If you'll run the System Profiler app (in the Applications/Utilties folder) and tell us what is says for the Model Identifier in the Hardware Overview, we can confirm what model of Mac you have.

If they are Apple-brand headphones, then the Apple Store will handle the warrranty and, absent any evidence of abuse, should replace the headphones. If the headphones were made by some other company, then unless you purchased the headphones in the last fourteen days, you will have to contact the manufacturer of the headphones for warranty support.

What MacBook Pro model do you have? Check the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware and then the Model Identifier...has to be at least MacBook Pro3,1 to install Mavericks.
