Any luck with Windows XP 64bit Synchronization???

I am still trying to find a way to sync my Centro to my 64bit XP desktop. Any help?

Hi, I don't know if this will be relevant to you but I've got my Palm TX working well with a new XP 64 Pro machine. Caveat: I copied my data directory from my old computer to the new one, which allowed me to skip the initial HotSync which the Palm site and user manual claims has to be done with a USB cable. There are no USB Palm drivers for XP 64 Pro Here are the steps, best as I can remember them ...
1) downloaded and installed Microsoft Installer 4.5, rebooted
2) downloaded PalmDesktopWin414EN.zip from Palm site.
3) Unzipped and ran PD414esetup.exe (this worked pretty much as normal, but at the end, I skipped the initial HotSync offer).
4) Copied my old user info folder (C:\Program Files\palmOne\Soher on XP) to new installation (C:\Program Files (x86)\palmOne\Soher on XP 64 Pro)
5) Installed Iogear GBU221 USB Bluetooth adapter and driver software, rebooted.
6) Ran the configuration utility for the Iogear, turned on the Bluetooth Serial Port service.
7) Ran configuration utility for Bluetooth on Palm TX (under Applications, Prefs, Bluetooth)
8) Turned on BT, made it 'Discoverable', clicked on Configure Devices
9) Clicked PC Setup and set my new computer to be able to HotSync
10) rebooted (hey, it's Windows ... I was just being careful)
11) Made sure the the HotSync Manager was running on PC, and set to Local (not Local USB)
12) Made sure that the HotSync Manager Local was using the COM port that BlueTooth Serial would be using
13) Hit HotSync on the computer and it's working fine. so far.
Again, no guarantees, but hope it helps.

Has anyone had any luck getting past the windows support software not being available on the Apple server? I've got a 17" late 2006 imac and have lion running on it (10.7.4), plus windows 7 home edition but I cannot get the software to download I have tried the old drivers bootcamp 3.3 as I had read you can load those then update but that comes up with the message that the drivers on my machine dont need the update! All very frustrating i should also add that I'm not at all technically minded, any help would be much appreciated...

BCA is the "update" method from 3.3 to 4.0
you can't get there from 3.3 inside Windows
you don't need 4.x drivers on a 2006
if it ain't broken don't fix it
As to why BCA in Lion won't... mystery. Sometimes network settings, sometimes a user has installed Norton and have trouble - which would be the firewall and web access port BCA tries to use is not configured properly.
If I were you I would be sure to buy and use WinClone 3 $20 to make a backup image of Windows to another hard drive (not your OS X boot drive) and then keep that in case you need to restore or reinstall Windows.
Other than graphic driver (AMD etc), security and normal Windows updates, there is nothing from Apple that would help.

Problems with Windows 7 64bits

Today we get the new desktops with Windows 7, 64bits, we work with Oracle 10G and Visual Studio 2005, now we get Visual Studio 2008, the problem happends when I compile a solution migrate from 2005 to 2008, the oracle conection dies and I can`t connect with the databe, I have SQLdeveloper in the same pc and I can connect without problems, any ideas??

Is PE7 compatable with windows 7 64bit?

are there any versions of Adobe Premiere Elements besides PE8 that are compatable with Windows 7 64bit? I have heard of lots of problems with PE8 and I would prefer using PE7 if possible. Actually I use PE3 with XP home 32 bit and love and don't really want to upgrade but it seems like i might have to. thanks

i downloaded the PE8 trial and have worked with it for a couple of hours and had only one glitch so far. while capturing it froze after about 10 minutes, i had to capture the rest and splice it in. i added some titles and a 2nd audio track that was mono and used audio effects to copy left track to right track, i faded in video and audio and so far everything seems to be working fine.
i have an intel MB D975XBX2
dual core processor,
4 gigs of RAM
win7 pro 64bit
it's taking a little getting used to but probably not as hard as trying to learn a whole other program like sony studio for example. i've got 30 days and i'll keep using it and see how it goes but so far, so good.

Ts-L633a DVD drive not compatible with Windows 7 64bit upgrade

Ts-L633a DVD drive on my Pavilion Dv7 1232nr is not compatible with Windows 7 64bit upgrade but will work fine if I downgrade back to Vista 64bit so what DVD drive is there other then the TS-L633a drive that I already have that is compatible with the Windows 7 64 upgrade so that I can buy and install on my laptop.

Here's one out of nowhere: do you have CD/DVD software that includes Sonic DLA or something like it? I've seen that take over drives and prevent normal operation.
If you right click on the drive and hit properties, are there any suspicious looking tabs?

WET54GS5 with Windows 7 64bit

I would greatly appreciate some help with getting my WET54GS5 Wireless Ethernet Bridge to work. I just got a new computer with Windows 7 64bit, and at the same time installed a new Linksys E3000 Wireless Router. I would still like to use my existing WET54GS5 to work, but am having difficulties.
First, I do not have the Setup CD any more. I have searched vigorously on the web, and can not find it anywhere for download. Could some kind soul please zip up the disc, and make it available for download?
Second, I did try to access the bridge directly with the 192.168.1.226 address, but that did not work. And I did try the Reset procedure numerous times.
I know that new versions of the Bridge are available, but they only have one port available -- I need three.
So, many thanks in advance for any help, particularly if anyone could make the Setup files available.

To connect directly to the
WET54GS5 you must make alterations in the adapter settings of the computer,,, since the bridge is almost like a funky switch you will have to adjust the computer adapter manually to IP 192.168.1.90 and click the subnet box to autofill that in than just apply that. close out and you should be able to access the manual web based aplication. The other question reguarding using one of the WET adapters and connecting a switch I am doing that right now and it works perfectly,, although it does create a extra network device to appear within the main network so some computers think there is multiple networks.. a little annoying but not a serious problem. Mainly only with older computers like XP

Any luck with 3.1.3 anyone? I am captive to a wi-fi connection and its getting really annoying not being able to use the 3g service when I leave my house. The solution(s) provided so far have done nothing to fix the problem. This is in regards to apps crashing and no internet service while on the iphone 3g network.

2) nope. The mentioned NLS Characterset is used by XMLType to identify the characterset which was used to create the XML doc and/or what characterset the XML doc has. Setting it explicitly makes sure that the correct characterset is used.

Refer this article to reset Winsock to it's default. Your PCTools may have inserted LSP.

After reset and restarting windows, you may get a prompt to remap LSP, click no.

I am still waiting to switch to Aperture as 1.0 did not support the Sigma SD-10/SD-9 raw files (.X3F).
Any luck with the latest 1.1 version? It is great that Apple revised the price on it but I still have to wait for X3F support because my camera only shoots in RAW. Converting may not be worth the effort and extra time...

Nope, no X3F support yet.
You can still use the program pretty well just by exporting 16-bit TIFF files from PhtooPro, just export in batch with corrections set to auto.

X200 with Windows 2008 64bit

Can someone give me some hint on how to resolve this issue?
I bought the X200 and installed Windows Vista 64 bit without a problem. I am now creating a VM with Windows 2008 64bit but received this message after installation and reboot: "Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode."
The CPU is Intel P8600 which is 64-bit compatible. Why did Vista 64-bit install and run properly and not Windows 2008?

Here's the follow up:
I took a chance and installed MAC OS X 10.4.9 COMBO and QT 7.1.6 update, installed FCS 2 suite and my old TRV 340 still works perfectly.
I erased livetype included with FCE HD as suggested by apple tech note, and the installing process worked like a charm.
I keep my version of FCE HD 3.5.1 and original soundtrack . Both applications work well side by side with FCP 6.

I found a simple yet effective solution for this problem, my friend had the same issue so instinctively as a technician, I suspect this was a malware of somekind so I re-formatted and installed Win7 funny it's still there, so I did a Hard disk wipe using
Dalvik's and re-partitioned and formatted again, to my surprise it still have the same problem.
So I ask Mr. Goo' old Mr. Google for answer, but I've found more complications, sorry for the story, so without further a do, the solution.
Boot to safe mode. (may also work in "normal mode")
Go to Task Manager>
Click the Services Tab>
Right click "HelpPane.exe" or Help and support service>
Select Properties>
Click the Security tab>
Click the Advanced tab (for permissions options)
Then select the "permissions entries" one at a time>
Click Change Permissions>
Then click Edit>
CLEAR ALL THE CHECK BOX FOR ALL ENTRIES
This should prevent access to the HelpPane.exe to all users/programs.
This resolved my friends Windows 7 "Help and Support thingy" issue, hope it does yours too.
