  • New Updated Jelly Bean List

The updated Jelly Bean List is out and the phones that will receive it is on the List and the one's that may or may not receive it is on there as Well and For the owners with a Razr or Razr Maxx it might be time to hold your breath because there not giving a time line when the Device will receive it. And it might be the phone won't get it all.. this makes my Happy Factor drop a few Steps.. b33
    http://www.droid-life.com/2012/09/14/when-is-my-android-phone-getting-jelly-bean-verizon/

All the specs are the same for the Razr.  They all use the same kernels and drivers.  There is no reason if they gave certain ones an update and not the others.
Keep in mind Verizon honestly doesn't care if the manufacturers update the devices or not.  They make money off the services, but since people will automatically blame Verizon for botched updates they want to test them first(which ends up taking the update to longer time frame).  If the update doesn't happen it's because of Motorola.

  • Is Jelly Bean coming for AT205?

Just upgrade wife's ipad to iOS 6, although quite impressive, I am still "like" my excite.
Do we have any confirmation on Jelly Bean any time soon?  ( I still have 10 days left.. )

    SO .
If Toshiba doesn't do his job to provide Android Updates to his customers, they will flee !
For the excite range is still on sale !
So, if they don't aplly update... LET PEOPLE DEVELLOP AND INSTALL custom ROMS with root access !!
Cyanogemmod 10, JB Based with all the apps is quite smooth and works so fine on cheap 1chip tablets !!
PLease Toshiba !! do something !

  • Jelly Bean - Email AutoSync No Longer Works

I am at Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) on my stock Samsung Galaxy S3.  Since the Jelly Bean upgrade, my e-mail will MANUALLY sync e-mails, but will no longer AUTOMATICALLY sync e-mails per the Peak/Off-Peak schedule for any of my e-mail accounts except for my Exchange account.  I have tried:
Adjusting the Peak/Off-Peak schedules to several different times / schedules.
Changing the period to synch from 1 Month or 100 e-mails to 1 month.
Accessing the Email app via the Applications interface and clearing all data.Step above obviously necessitated re-entering all e-mail accounts.
I have confirmed that Settings>Email(under Accounts Header) shows a green synch icon beside all four of my non Exchange accounts.
I've been messing with this for a number of days now and I'm hitting a wall.  This is not a menu-based configuration issue as far as I can tell AND it worked fine under ICS.
In case someone wants the information to diagnose, the non-exchange Accounts:
2 x @bellsouth.net (associated with my AT&T service, but hosted by yahoo.com service).
    1 x @yahoo.com
    1 x @gmail.com
My settings for synchronization (for all four accounts):
    All days selected.
    Peak schedule: Every Hour
    Off-peak Schedule: Never
    Peak start @ 7:00 AM
    Peak end @ 10:00 PM
    While Roaming: Use Above Settings.
Any suggestions?  (Other than the usual default "Have you tried a factory reset" that would require me to spend a day trying to get everything set back up and is basically a support tree "I can't figure it out easily so let's make your life harder because I can't be bothered" type of solution.)

Mine started @ JB, but in trying to research the problem on my own - I can confirm your observation that people are reporting sync issues across multiple platforms / e-mail providers.  What is weird about it is that on irregular occasions, one of my accounts will actually "sync."  As an example since I wrote the original post - I did get  notification of new emails in one of my accounts - I have purposely not been manually checking my accounts to see what is happening.  Interestingly, When I look at Settings>Email, it shows all of my accounts having been sync'd at 10:00 AM.  So what does that mean?  Sync is partially working, but not consistently (e-mails from across 4 hours came in when it is set to sync hourly) and even within the phone the sync status isn't being displayed correctly.  Something is clearly fubar'd I just don't know what.  (thanks for the advice though)

  • Problems after Jelly Bean upgrade

I upgraded to Jelly Bean when it came available and immediately started noticing problems.  The phone became sluggish in general but most notably the keyboard lagged to the point where texting became problematic.  I was unable to use the gallery app - it would open but pictures either wouldn't load or I couldn't scroll through them.  The camera app also wouldn't scroll through my pictures.  The web browser was sluggish even on a strong wi-fi connection.  I did a factory reset twice and lost a ton of information in the process, in hopes the reset would clear things up.  I ended up going to the store and the rep said he would have a new phone overnighted - which by the way, they gave me a used, sorry, a "certified like-new replacement" phone, not a new one.
Now that I have my replacement I'm reluctant to upgrade this one to Jelly Bean if I'm going to continue having problems.  Are/were these just an isolated problem, perhaps something in the phone itself and not the software, or are these widespread issues that will hopefully be addressed?  I've read on forums all over that people are complaining of battery drain but I didn't have that issue, just the sluggishness and the inability to access my pics.

Jbthompson, I know it can be upsetting when an update that should improve your phone's functionality causes it to have problems. I haven't seen the issues you experienced on most Galaxy S III's. Like TheGuyUpNorth stated, most issues are resolved with a factory reset. Do you know if any of your applications were automatically re-installed after the reset? Sometimes the cause of slowness can be related to applications that were compatible with the old OS no longer being compatible with the new one, or conflicting with each other. If you reset and then the same applications are re-installed, then the problem may arise again. Have you completed the JB update on your Galaxy S III replacement yet? Even if you defer or reject the software update, it may come again at a later date. You want to make sure you are ready to complete the update because if it alerts you in the middle of the night and you don't respond, it may go thru. If the battery isn't charged fully that could cause a problem with the update completing. Please let us know if you have any problems with the replacement and we'll be happy to help.

  • Xperia arc S will not get Jelly Beans

    Closed toppic, multiple posts.
As officially stated on Facebook, Xperia arc S and mini pro will not get Jelly beans update.
    http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/07/26/official-2011-sony-xperia-handsets-will-not-get-android-4-1-jel...
As a conclusion of this, Jelly Beans will not be rolled out to any 2011 phone, as the arc S is the last and top model of the 2011 line.
One of the best things in this facebook post is the proposal to buy a new phone...
This proved again to be a lie of Sony, stating that they will support and update phones for at least 18 months.

there are a lot of simillar posts like this, you can try to search the forum ,

  • Jelly Bean update woes?

I've updated my Razr Maxx to Jelly bean through the About Phone > System Updates option.  It's been a few days now for all the apps and syncing to have settled down, but I'm still seeing the battery getting chewed through now and it's looking like Android OS is using up close to 60% of the battery (averaging about 58%).
I've also seen that with the update certain apps (bloatware) has been removed.  However, I still seem to have a few apps, like MotoACTV & Verizon Videos, present that should have been removed with the update.
I was going to wipe the cache in Recovery Mode before doing a Factory Reset, but holding down the Volume +/- rocker and the power button just boots my phone up normally.  Recovery Mode hasn't been removed in Jelly Bean has it?  I wouldn't think so.
UPDATE:  I did get the boot menu to pop up but when selecting Recovery it only showed me the little Android with an "!" in a triangle over his open chest case... and then it opened right back up as it would normally boot.
Anyone have any similar issues with the update?  Any fixes if so?

Oh, you guys are lucky. Had to get them to send me a replacement Razr as mine wouldn't boot after the update. Rep was friendly and apparently handled 20+ calls on the failed update that DAY. Those techs that post the beta updates to the production server should be fired. You need to freaking test your stupid OS updates before you push them. I understand the stockholders are looking for profit but if people are leaving because you keep breaking their stuff then when the company goes under you're the only one to blame. Also since receiving my new phone it's being a pain to set up. Have to do half of it on my account online from my computer as it won't take inputs from my phone.

  • Jelly Bean Issues - Phone Replaced??

    Hey all!
I was caught up in the "oops" OTA of Jelly Bean on my Razr MAXX (around Christmas).  I do NOT like the update.  Battery life is less and several apps do not work as well, if at all.  In surfing the 'net, there have been a few cases of people taking their phone into a Corporate Store and having it replaced with an ICS version.  Anyone heard of this?  Done this?  Anyone from Verizon want to chime in?
    Thanks so much!
    Michael

    ArnettH_VZW,
Did you all figure this out? This has happened to me at least 10 times in the past 2 months. I just got this phone in March of 2013. I hate waking up and finding my phone at the 4gLTE screen!!!  Here is what I have been doing to troubleshoot it:
1.) Bought a new SanDisc 32GB card which they said will now be compatible with this phone. I haven't received the card yet and the phone still crashed so that is not the issue.
2.) Bought a new battery. It still locked up.
3.) Had Verizon give me a new Sim card. It still locked up.
4.) Used the phone without the memory card. It still locked up.
5.) Wiped the phone and only put Facebook & LinkedIn on the phone. It still locked up.
6.) Called Verizon and complained 3 times, each time I got a new phone (they were very accommodating). It's not the phone. It still locked up.
My wife has the EXACT same phone. We got it on the same day. Her's works fine. I really just don't get this. I have done everything possible to my knowledge and still the phone locks up. I have not rooted or messed with any of the developer options on the phone.
How does a phone randomly lock up on the 4G LTE screen when the phone has NOTHING on it! It's very hard to troubleshoot when the phone does this on it's own with no user action. Verizon doesn't even know how this is happening?
Could this be my gmail account? Could it be the auto-backup on the phone? I REALLY don't get it!
Any new thoughts on this????? No one can help me!

  • Need help with Jelly Bean

Just got my Nexus yesterday and was wondering how do I run jelly bean? I am currently running only 4.0?

    marybee333 wrote:
enjoy using your phone before JELLY BEAN..... I do not think its as good
As with any new software there are going to be bugs or things that people do not like, and thats unfortunate. People ask (demand even) for the newest software and when it happens, complain.

  • Why won't my home wifi work after jelly bean update?

My phone updated to jelly bean on tuesday morning, and i noticed i cannot connect to my home wifi.  It will connect at school or work however.  I have tried turning off and on my phone and my router.  I know its not my connection because my other devices all connect to it.  When i go to the wifi on my phone, it detects my home wifi with a full signal, but when i put the password in to connect, it says the signal is poor and it just repeatedly tries to connect.  Is there any way that i can get my wifi to work again?  If i have to and if there is a way i will uninstall jelly bean if thats the only way to get it to work again.

Here is my current situation with a brand new Razr HD:
    -Linksys WRT54GL with updated firmware
-New Razr HD purchased 5 days ago
    -System Version: 9.16.6.X926
    -Android Version 4.1.2
    -Build Number 9.8.1Q-62_VQW_MR-2
My Mom got the same phone at the same time and has dropped calls, poor wifi signal and range, etc.
I have fully set up my phone with apps and all settings perfect, cleared the system cache, one factory reset and input all app usernames and passwords again, etc.
My phone is perfect, except for not connecting to wifi in a room downstairs from the router where all other devices, a Nook, 10-year old DELL laptop, and Droid Incredible get 4 full bars of wifi strength. This Razr does not connect at all and rarely if it does when I leave the door open gets one bar of strength and is useless.
I love the phone so much I am reluctant to swap it out and lose all my app settings and customization. I read that it isn't mattering if you swap it out, still the same problem. But it's bothering me and I want it right so I went to the Verizon store today to test it and swap it out for a new different one. They don't perform tests and didn't know what I was talking about. Very abrasive staff and manager tried to research the issue for a half an hour, then said they had a call in to Motorola. If I wanted to swap it out I could but that would be my one swap and that's it.
I have actually spent so much time and effort on this I wanted to get a MAXX HD for my wasted time and frustration. That is simply out of the question. I stood there with my phone connected to the Verizon wifi network in the store with one bar of wifi strength, while the display connected to the same network showed a full network signal all bars.
They were so abrasive, demanding that it doesn't matter how many wifi bars you get it will still connect to the Internet. I said no that's not true this device will not connect in my bedroom while all other old devices get full wifi strength. They didn't care.
They were so reluctant in the matter that I decided to walk out and watch for an update to Jelly Bean to solve the issue. People are taking their phones back and it doesn't fix this. It seems to be strictly a Jelly Bean update fix.
I will watch my phone, only use wifi in large areas that usually work fine, etc. My question is: When will there be a Jelly Bean update pushed out to Razr HD owners on Jelly Bean so they will have comparable wifi and signal strength to every other wifi enabled device that exists?
    Thanks
PS. I have tried every single router and phone setting mentioned on any forum. Same thing. This requires a 2nd update.

  • Sony Ericsson Neo V - Jelly bean

Ice cream sandwich has made my phone slower.
Is their any possibility of upgrade to jelly bean android 4.1 for sony ericsson neo v.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you made just a little effort you could know the answer already!!!
Read: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/45855 and every thread that is under the Android Jelly Bean forums!!!
On your question, our developers will test the handsets on the new versions of Android which Google release and confirm whether the user experience is stable enough to provide an update.Until we have confirmation regarding this, we would be unable to confirm which units will be able to run this version.

  • Jelly Bean For Xperia Neo L?

see Xperia E is getting and xperia neo l has a better processor look at these 2 links http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5149&idPhone2=4647andhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip) find the 2 processors on the wiki link. so far sony never released jelly bean news for it.

so far sony never released jelly bean news for it.
Sony already explained that there won't be an upgrade for any 2011 Xperia (which includes the Xperia neo):
We were glad to provide the Android 4.0.4 upgrade for our 2011 Xperia portfolio across most markets and the majority of models but, after thorough evaluation, we have concluded they will not be upgraded beyond Ice Cream Sandwich.
    (Oct. 19, 2012)
There is no technical reason for that and Sony doesn't need to explain themselves for their decisions.
Nevertheless, Sony should provide customers of 2011 Xperia devices a working version of Android 4.0 ICS. The current software builds are full of bugs and errors and Sony doesn't seems to be willing to fix these problems...

  • Jelly bean problems

Since the Jelly Bean Download  i have lost all speed dials and can not reset. I have not been getting any email notifications and the phone is not automatically checking for new messages. Support says a patch is comming When!!

Not sure about the email sync problem, but Jelly Bean (4.1) removed speed dials.
The suggested work around is to use direct dial widgets. Or find a third party dialer
    on Google Play.

  • Bionic Owners!  Jelly Bean To arrive soon on your Phones

Just Seen this on my Favorite Site to Visit:   Jell Bean is Coming Soon!  First in Quarter # 2
    http://www.droid-life.com/2013/03/26/motorola-commits-to-updating-droid-bionic-to-jelly-bean-in-q2/

Well it all Depends on a Few Factors: Ya Just cant throw down on the OS with any new thing new there can Be issue or Two Doesn't matter what phone you have)
I suggest the Best way to take the OS is with a Clean Phone do a System Cache clear and or a Factory Reset i didn't and mine is doing Ok but i did Removed a Fare Share of the Apps that i had.. The ones that i left on my Maxx prior to the Update Got Updated when the OS finished it's Update but i'm seeing some really Nice things on my Maxx Especially when i use the Voice search or when have my Bluetooth Device Connected to it and it asks for a Command..
So there might be some bumpers along the Way but if you Make your Phone to were it Takes the Update in a Cleaner state of way it might just work as Smooth as Butter..  b33

  • Jelly bean and droid 4

I have a droid 4 and I used to use my head phones with no problems before Jelly Bean update  I haven't used the ear piece in about four months.  I just tried using it and the no sound come out from the phone.  I tried a new ear piece and it's the same.  All my other jelly bean issues I was able to resolve, this one just came to light.  Any Ideas?

Well i'll answer that..  This way the answer is  No  you don't have to "update" you can push if off as long as you like i'm doing this on one of my Razr Maxx's).  Your phone can take the O.T.A.  just don't down load the OS into the phone or you will have the New Update..
Now that being said my other Razr Maxx  does have it and it's not doing to bad with the new Updated OS  there are some minor issues though.. One i'm seeing and so are others with there new Motorola's is the Apps.!  Google's Music Play  and Google Voice Commands are Clashing that is when you update the Music App..  It's causing Commands to Close down but if you Uninstall the Music App back to Factory.. Voice Commands will start to Work again..  But this is Only happening on my Jelly Bean Razr Maxx  i'm not seeing the Issue on my Ice Cream Sandwich Razr Maxx..
But other than this little set back.. It's not a bad OS   b33   Too add.. If you have any more Questions fill free to ask i'm on here most of the Time..
